Hindsight is 20/20 and I wish I could go back in time and not use Nuptials by Brenda. We only communicated via email and the officiant was changed to a different person a few weeks...
before the wedding. My husband and I spent months creating and writing a beautiful and personal wedding ceremony in Spanish and they sent a man who couldn't really speak Spanish. He struggled reading out loud, pronouncing names and projecting. It was a horrible shock. We had sent them a draft of our script in Spanish well in advance (over a month). I deeply wish we could have spoken on the phone or video meeting before the ceremony. I feel like they sent someone who hadn't even read the draft before arriving and my day of Coordinator said they arrived late. We always look on the bright side of things but it was the biggest mistake of my entire wedding and such a bummer. Proceed with caution. They struggle reading outloud and didn't even know how to pronounce my name. I understand not all names are easy but if you're unsure I think the least you can do is call me in advance or ask literally anyone there before starting the ceremony.
