September (a wedding and separate reception). I paid an initial deposit. The trial itself was $225.00 During the trial Amanda wasn’t able to provide me with the look I requested, and we ultimately ran out of time (this will be a theme). She assured me that my hair was the problem, and she would be able to achieve the look requested if I purchased hair extensions. I purchased the hair extensions she recommended for an additional $225.00 and agreed to pay the additional $50 Amanda charges to place them. On the day of the services, she showed up late and then (of course) finished late. And she just curled my hair, exactly as she had before at the trial (see photo of my hair vs. what I requested). Because wedding days are busy, I needed to say thank you and ask for her to leave. I didn’t have time to get upset over something that is ultimately trivial and takes away from the purpose of the day. I paid the $655.00 additional that she charged - which includes $110 of tip she adds in for herself. (Of note, on both occasions, I paid Amanda in cash - which she requires - and she didn’t provide change either time - not a big deal - it was $15 dollars and then $5, but a little weird.) After thinking on it, I requested (with just under 4 months of notice) to cancel our planned services for September. I gently explained to Amanda that she hadn’t been able to provide me with the service I had asked for and she agreed to. I’ve paid for services rendered; this shouldn’t be a problem. I don’t want a refund. Of course, and this should come as absolutely no surprise, Amanda would like to be paid for the September date. I’m not surprised that she has trouble getting bookings. Amanda’s services are expensive and she underperforms, but she also has mean girl energy. I just couldn’t face having her around for another important day. It’s too late for me, but hopefully you’ll find someone who is more skilled to hire for your special occasions.

ked like themselves but just a bit more special. Everyone's makeup stayed perfectly all night long!! She was super responsive and easy to work with and is clearly a master of her craft! I even had my MOH, who never gets her makeup done because she prefers to do it herself, change her mind to get hers done the day of after seeing how beautiful everyone's makeup looked! Amanda was great and was able to get her makeup done too while staying perfectly on time for the day! I highly recommend her for your wedding or any makeup needs!
