Luke was phenomenal! Did a great job with the first look photoshoot, wedding, and reception.

Luke was amazing. Not only was he incredibly professional during the wedding, he was incredible with helping us with timing issues as we were planning the wedding. During the wedding he knew exactly where to be to get the pictures we'd want. And he was fun. It really took some of the stress out of the day because Luke was so much fun while still being very professional. I don't think you'll find a better photographer in the Twin Cities.

Working with Luke was great, he was very professional and made everyone feel super comfortable. He made everything go super smooth and was easy to work with, he even helped steam my dress while hair was being done. We even had guests that commented on how great our photographer was. It's hard to even know where to begin with this review! Luke is not only an amazing person but also an incredible photographer! We have several friends who had Luke as a photographer for their engagement photos and weddings and we immediately knew when we got engaged that we wanted Luke as our photographer if he was available! We are SO grateful that we were able to book our engagement session and wedding photos with Luke. He is SO much fun to work with and made us and our families laugh so much!! Everyone had a blast and sometimes I could not stop laughing haha!! Luke went WAY above and beyond to help us with getting ready beforehand and asked if we wanted to take photos at home and with our pets since we live very close to our venue! We are SO grateful that Luke offered to do that and was so willing to go out of his way to come to our home to take photos! We are so incredibly happy and grateful for the photos we have with our fur babies!! They are some of our favorite photos and we will cherish them forever! Luke also was so incredibly helpful and went WAY above and beyond to help secure and fix my veil and flowers in my hair, he helped carry my dress, pin on flowers for family, and the list goes on!! He made us feel so at ease throughout the entire day (and during our engagement photo session)! Our families have continued to rave about how much fun Luke was to work with and how effortless it was to take photos for our wedding!! Receiving our photos from Luke was just icing on the cake!! I cannot recommend Nygaard photography enough! SERIOUSLY. Luke was AMAZING to work with! I am convinced our day would not have been as much fun without him! Having him around through the day and as I was getting ready was like hanging out with a friend. He helped me stay calm and keep things on track. Hands down- my favorite vendor to work with!! While we are still waiting to see wedding pics, I was so pleased to spend time with Luke for our engagement session to get to know him. He is amazing and a ball of energy just like me so we of course clicked right away. He’s genuine, personably, authentic, organized and legitimately jazzed to spend probably too many Fridays and Saturdays at weddings but the wedding community is all the better for it! While I knew we clicked, my favorite part was that Luke made my husband (wow that’s fun to say) more comfortable, less awkward, laugh and enjoy what was hours of picture taking. The bridal party adored him, everyone knew him by name at the end of the night and I could totally trust that all my needy details or random asks were answered thoughtfully and truthfully. I remember my first chat with him was at least a 40 min visit trying to sort through all the photography lingo, BS and random up-sells. He was real, transparent, detailed and passionate. He sells a great product- him and his company and we loved being able to work with him…. actually we’ll probably work with him for the rest of forever for our photography needs.

Luke was one of the most memorable parts of our wedding day. I didn't realize until the day of our wedding just how much time we would spend together. Luke did much more than take wonderful photos, he carried my train, flowers, and makeup around and made sure we stayed on schedule. He checked in to make sure I was doing OK often throughout the day and gave us gentle reminders when it was a good opportunity to snap a few photos. Knowing now how fast the day goes, this was so critical to documenting all of the important moments. I remember telling Luke how much I appreciated him and that our photos and eachother would be all we had after the big day ended. Luke is more than a photographer and we cannot thank him enough and cannot recommend him enough to our friends and family. He was hands down our favorite vendor to work with and the best of all of them at communicating. We were lucky enough to meet him at 2 weddings before our own after we booked him and both couples, our family and friends, really enjoyed working with him and were also happy with his work. Choose Luke, you will be so glad you did!!

You guys. Listen when I tell you Luke Nygaard is a prince among men. He’s a photographer by trade, but he’s so much more than that. He will literally make your wedding day by how punctual, professional, helpful and kind he is. If you’re not hiring a day of coordinator, you must hire Nygaard photography.

Luke was the best vendor! In addition to taking stunning photos, he was an absolute rockstar in setting multiple alarms on his watch to ensure we were on schedule throughout the day, gathering people to take photos, setting up great scenery and opportunities for photos, bustling and fixing my dress, sewing my dress when it tore a bit, interacting with guests, and making sure I was stress-free throughout the day! He even participated in our photo booth with us! Guests loved him and we have highly recommended him to several couples already!

Luke was absolutely the best. He did our engagement pictures and our wedding day. From the second we met Luke, he made us feel at ease. You can tell in our photos that we were having the best time. Luke is amazing! He is so good at making people (even the most camera shy) feel comfortable. He worked with a huge group of people with ease. He photographed our wedding at a venue he has never seen before and went above and beyond to find the most beautiful backdrops at the venue! Luke is AMAZING he went above and beyond what I expected. Arrived early for the get ready and stayed late for the dancing. He helped with everything including things he didn’t need to. Luke did my engagement and wedding photos and he is seriously the best! Everyone could not stop talking about how funny he was, which made for the best true smiles in the photos!

One of the best choices we made during wedding planning was our photographer, Nygaard Photography. Luke was so easy to work with, he met with us to get to know our personalities and ask about what was most important and if we had special requests. He delivered on all fronts. Luke was there shooting at the hotel bridal suite during hair and makeup. The pictures in the park were beautiful, as were the pictures taken in the alley and streets in Lowertown St. Paul. From the bridal suite and the groom’s room, to the first look pictures, wedding party pictures, family pictures, the ceremony, bride and groom roof top pictures, reception, and dance Luke captured it all. We are so happy with all the pictures and appreciated Luke’s eye to capture the moment. Many guests and our wedding planners commented on how professional and easy going our photographer was. Luke was able to connect in such a fun way with our three young nephews (ring bearers) and our flower girl, he captured such darling pictures of them. We highly recommend Luke Nygaard Photography! Back in April my now husband and I were looking for a photographer for our June 5th wedding. Through a friend referral, we got in touch with Luke Nygaard of Nygaard Photography. From day 1 of contacting Luke we were sold. Luke is very friendly and so helpful through the entire process. We had a few meetings with Luke prior to the wedding of which was only a few months from signing with Nygaard Photography. Fast forward to the wedding. Luke met with my bridal party at the salon and was with us until 9:30pm that night. He had a smile on his face and peep in his step all day. Luke was extremely helpful in what I should do for makeup to helping with my dress. He even later helped the DJ who was late due being in called in at the last minute to replace the original DJ that had called in sick. Honestly I cannot think of one thing Luke didn't help with the day of the wedding. Fast even more forward. On Monday, June 21st my father past away 2 weeks after the wedding. Even though pictures weren't due to be ready for 6-8 weeks after the wedding, Luke sent me some pictures of my dad from the wedding. I only asked for one if he could knowing he had many other projects going on. Luke truly went above and beyond in this request. I am so grateful to get a few pictures of my dad for the funeral and open house. Nygaard Photography is amazing on many levels. It's that personal touch that sold us. Luke has become a forever friend now. I feel like he knows my family as well now as I know his. I cannot thank Trisha Syverson enough for referring us to Nygaard Photography. Trisha had her wedding October 2020 and said you have to go with Nygaard Photography. That decision proved to be a blessing in more ways than just pictures. Nygaard Photography was amazing. We hired them for our wedding. He is very organized, fun and pays attention to every detail  He made sure everything was on time and moving along while still capturing all the great photos. Besides an awesome photographer he was also a personal attendant with helping lace my dress. They are an amazing photography studio and highly recommended them and unbeatable prices for everything they do to make your day special/memorable. We will continue to hire them for all our special events.

I can not say enough great things about Luke. He was at our wedding literally all day. Not only did he make everyone feel so comfortable in front of the camera but he went above and beyond with helping on other things as well, like bustling the side of my dress by sewing in stuff to hold it up since the sides kept getting stepped on. Seriously don’t think we could have gotten a better person to take photos of our wedding and capture our special day!! We will be going to him for future family photos and everything we have photographer needs for!

My photos turned out incredible! There was one where my daughter looked like royalty where all I could think was who invited princess anna from frozen. Luke is a wonderful photographer and great to work with. I also purchased the knot package they offer even though I wanted the best....budget wise we had to be practical so we went with the knot package. The only upsetting part was the follow-up after which was entirely out of their control because this was near late March early April when I got my proofs digitally threw email due to the pandemic. I would have preferred to meet one last time in person and to get my jump/flash drive of my copies that came with the package. In time I will get it within the next year but I'm in no rush to cause health issues for anyone. They also offer family and new baby options as well that I will be going with them in the future for family photo sessions!!!!!!!

Luke Nygaard was able to stay positive and take awesome photos during our May 30th wedding in Minneapolis which occured during the riots and pandemic! We really lucked out with having him there that day!

Luke and Andi were nothing but the BEST for our wedding! We seriously couldn’t have asked for better photographers! We received many compliments from our wedding party and guests at how awesome our photographers were and how easy to talk to they were. During pictures they know just what to do to make you smile, laugh and have a good time. They even helped us transport flowers around to different locations and provide a sewing kit after one of my bridesmaids ripped her dress! After receiving our pictures from them we couldn’t find one that we didn’t like! Not only did we find our wedding photographer but we found our new family photographer. If you are looking for a photographer I would HIGHLY recommend going with Nygaard Photography!

Trisha S. Luke was an AMAZING photographer. He was fun, professional and so very helpful. He doubled as a special attendant. From SEWING - yes sewing my bustle together after it had broke - to having bandaids for my blistering feet. He was there it all and he really helped make our special go flawlessly. Luke was so amazing! He was so organized leading up to the wedding and was OUR BEST VENDOR! All our other vendors I felt dropped the ball in some way but never the Nygaards! If I could give Luke ten stars I would. He is so much more than a photographer, he was practically a personal attendant! From the moment he walked in everyone was instantly calmer and laughing at his jokes. He is obviously confident in his photography skills and makes sure he captures every special moment. He was very prepared, my wedding weather took a turn for the worse and started sleeting practically. He put up with all my grumpy/freezing bridesmaids and told as many jokes as he could to keep us laughing and distracted from the frost bite. He also brought lights and took family photos inside the barn which was so nice because it kept Grandpa warm and away from the elements. Luke also did our engagement photos and we loved them. We loved them so much that we planned our wedding date around his schedule. Luke stuffed an umbrella down the back of his jacket to hold it for me while taking pictures, he bustled my dress when no one was around to help me to try to keep my dress clean for pictures, and he even dried my feet off, changed my socks/shoes for me because I couldn’t bend over and all my personal attendants and family were busy! Ladies, this photographer is the real deal. I literally could not thank him enough.

When my son and now daughter-in-law were picking their wedding date around a photographer's availability (Luke Nygaard Photography), I couldn't understand why . . . I DO NOW. Luke's creative ability with capturing captivating moments in his photography is by far first class and the best. The weather was less than cooperative and emotions running higher than normal, Luke's calming demeanor and ability to make everyone enjoy themselves was undeniably the BEST of the BEST. He balanced nervous bride with freezing bridesmaids and possibly an overly sensitive mother of groom (me) with a smile on his face and the reassurance everything would be great to put us all at ease. Nygaard Photography is the best. This was the second time I had the pleasure of working with Luke, once at my best friend's wedding and now at my own. Luke makes the formal photo taking portion of the wedding day so much fun and he and Andie make the pre-wedding process so easy and stress free. I'm so glad we were able to have them capture the special moments of our big day.

I want to start off with saying this duo are simply amazing at what they do! I met Luke Nygaard for the first time when he photographed my best friend’s wedding. He had amazing energy, knew just how to capture the perfect moments, and made everyone laugh and feel comfortable. One year later, I was planning my own wedding in Key West, FL. It was a long shot but I had to contact Luke to see if he was available. I was so happy that he was and would even take the journey all the way to Key West for our big day. We met with him at his studio before the wedding with ideas of what we wanted and I knew he was pumped to get the party started. He and Andie traveled to FL a couple days before the wedding scoping out all the locations I wanted to take pictures. He and Andie even joined us at the rehearsal dinner and snapped some amazing sunset and family pictures. Bright and early, the day of the wedding Luke and Andie we’re ready to go running all over the island with us. The captured some of the most breathtaking photographs and intricate details. Thank you so much for capturing all the beautiful memories and being a part of the party!

I can't begin to say how wonderful Luke is. He helped my wedding day perfect. He goes over and beyond and helps out anyway he can. He helps make the day fun and filled with laughter. He was so fun to work with. He helped wedding planning and the wedding day be less stressful. He took over if I became stressed or worried. OH MY GOSH!! I cannot rave about Luke enough! Everyone loved him! We met with him before the wedding to go through all the details. We booked him at the wedding fair and also got a fun photo booth as part of the package. Luke was there from the time we started getting ready in the morning until the last song of the night- a lot of people loved that because he captured every part of the day. Luke almost doubled as a personal attendant- he handled any issues that came up and went to the appropriate people as opposed to coming to me or my husband. Throughout the day, he continued to make sure my husband and I were comfortable and doing okay. Luke is hilarious and everyone felt so comfortable around him! We really appreciated how much he stepped up to help us when others were busy- we hired him as a photographer and got so much more. We love the pictures we got throughout the whole day and our guests loved the photo booth (and so did we- a lot of goofy pictures in there). Luke was definitely one of our best wedding decisions!!

We absolutely loved working with Luke! He was incredibly easy to work with. He knows what he is doing, he has done this before and it shows! You just have to trust him and enjoy your day. He was absolutely fantastic with my massive family and the kiddos--well loved by the entire family and wedding party without a doubt! I don't know how many times our guests told us "your photographer is fantastic, you can tell he enjoys doing this," and there is so much truth to that statement. We originally met Luke while he was working our friends wedding. We immediately fell in love with his personality and his beautiful work. My husband and I were having a destination wedding in Cape Coral, Florida and we originally decided that we couldn’t afford a photographer. But after meeting Luke, we knew we had to have him! He was more than happy and willing to accommodate our destination wedding, even though it was only 3 months away. Having Luke as our photographer was like having a photographer, coordinator and a friend all in one! Luke is amazing! First of all, he was fantastic with our guests. He had our bridal party laughing the entire day and we still hear from guests about how fun our photographer was. He captured every moment we wanted and our pictures are fantastic! Not only was he fun and took great pictures, but Luke is a human swiss army knife for weddings. He put on my boutonniere, had a safety pin when my brothers zipper broke before the ceremony, and bustled my wife's dress when the bridesmaids couldn't figure it out. We felt relaxed the entire day knowing that we had an experienced wedding professional on hand to fix any problems that came up. We're so glad to have such a fantastic photographer for our big day!
