We worked with Nelson and his assistant on our 11/6/21 wedding. We originally booked Nelson for our 3/21/20 wedding date. He was one of the only vendors who from the start understood our initial concern and need to reschedule our wedding. He was extremely flexible and accommodating throughout. Nelson always made time to chat with us regarding our upcoming wedding date. He helped us put our mind at ease and made the whole experience comfortable and relaxing. Nelson and his assistant were on time and very efficient on the day of. They went out of their way to capture different shots in specific lighting/background. I recently got the photos back and am so happy with how everything came out. Not only is Nelson an incredibly talented photographer, but he is also a genuinely nice person. We had many family members compliment him and how attentive he was throughout the day. We cannot recommend NylaGray enough and hope to be able to work with him again the future!

From start to finish, the process of booking with Nelson and Nylagray was seamless and simple! My husband and I found Nylagray when Googling photos of weddings at our venue and fell in love with Nelson's perspective while watching slideshows on the Nylagray website. All of our communications occurred via email which made things super simple for a couple who both work long hours and had an eventful year leading up to the wedding. I was so impressed when Nelson emailed me the week of our wedding with photos he had taken while scouting our location (in NJ) for areas to do just bride and groom photos which I had requested happen before photos with our families at the wedding venue. That's dedication! As a character performer I am used to having my photo taken but in "posed" portraits, but this was my first photo session of this type. I was actually a little nervous about how natural the photos between my husband and I would come out because of that, but Nelson was able to simply capture moments of us as they happened without us having to feel coached or like we were being watched...hahaha. We quickly got all of the photos we wanted done with immediate family and our tiny wedding party, and Nelson was kind enough to offer to take posed photos during the reception that any of our guests wanted for a good 30 minutes until everyone was done. The cost of the package was 100% worth it and we were so thrilled to be able to digitally download the photos for free and offer that service to our guests, since there were so many great candid shots of our guests as well as posed family and friend photos! The feedback we've gotten from guests and friends who were not in attendance is that they are the best wedding photos they have ever seen....and my husband and I agree! I could go on forever saying great things about Nylagray, but I'll sum it all up this way: these photos are your memories forever of the most important day in your life, so go with the best and book with Nylagray!

Nelson of NylaGray was amazing to work with. First and foremost our wedding photos are amazing and we’re ready much sooner that we expected them. We had an outdoor wedding and arriving that morning he had already scouted locations for pictures and knew exactly where we would need to be. He was extremely professional and he really captured the feeling of the day though he never once felt intrusive.

Do yourself a favor, make one easy decision, and book Nelson. I researched a dozen photographers before finding Nylagray. He is so professional, so down to earth, so pleasant to be around. His work is beautiful, he makes you feel comfortable and natural, and you really get the sense that he enjoys his job. We had so many guests come to us during the weekend and tell us they loved the photographer. I’ve never been to a wedding where I’ve even noticed the photographer! Nelson had a wonderful habit of noticing when our guests were taking group pictures, and would jump in and take an actual, professional one. We decided to do an engagement shoot beforehand to feel more comfortable in front of the camera (strongly recommend this if you feel like your pics will be forced or weird) and Nelson was so kind and patient. He’s totally great.

Highly recommend Nelson to shoot your special day! Looking back at our wedding photos, we just cannot believe how precisely these perfect moments were captured. I only now realize how important that is to look back at these photos, and understand the excitement and atmosphere from each frame, apart from being beautiful of course. Nelson did exactly that - the photos are gorgeous, and just us! We were looking for a photographer that would capture natural moments, some quirky silly ones, some classy romantic ones, with soft natural colors. We shared with Nelson some of our inspiration and he totally took it from there and did an amazing job! Before the wedding day Nelson sent us a 'cheat sheet' of how to best plan the day, how many minutes to account for when taking family photos, and our own bride and groom photos. This made planning the day way more streamlined and that was greatly appreciated! During the day itself, Nelson was so organized but also kept things at ease. This was super important for us - as he made sure we are good with timing, we felt comfortable to pose, but also had enough directions from him so that we don't stand awkwardly in front of the camera. Highly recommend Nelson for your special day!

My husband and I recently got married and having Nelson there as our photographer was a highlight of the day! He's professional, thoughtful, and clearly a talented photographer. Just as our engagement photos in Central Park came out beautifully, we're certain our wedding ones will as well with how precise his photographic eye was throughout the day. To top it off, he's simply a personable, friendly guy, just the type you want around you on such an important day. VERY strong recommended!! No hesitations whatsoever. We'll definitely be telling all our friends about him.

We cannot say enough about what an absolute pleasure Nelson was to work with. He is extremely professional, talented, and passionate, and my husband and I felt so comfortable working with him for our wedding. Our package included an engagement shoot; we were very happy that we were able to get a chance to work with Nelson before our wedding, and the pictures were absolutely stunning. On the day of, Nelson arrived on time and kept us on schedule while helping to gather and position all of our many friends and family members to capture every single group shot that we wanted. During our bride and groom portraits, he gave us specific directions and made us feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera, which is clearly reflected in the photographs. At the reception, he photographed every one of our guests multiple times and captured every little moment. Throughout the entire process, Nelson was communicative, quick to respond and answer all of our questions, and flexible. He truly understood the intimate and comfortable vibe that we wanted our wedding to have, and the photos that he took really reflect this. His calming presence on our wedding day was so greatly appreciated, and his attention to detail is incredible. Nelson is an amazingly talented and passionate photographer, and we are already highly recommending him for friend’s and family’s upcoming weddings.

Highly, highly recommend!! We met Nelson at my husband’s twin brother’s wedding in 2016, and saw firsthand not only how friendly, warm, and laid back he was, but what an amazing photographer he is and how much love he brings into it. He was the first vendor we hired over a year before our backyard wedding in June 2018, and he was extremely professional and responsive in all of our communication. On the day of, Nelson came early to take getting ready photos, and blended right in immediately, easily taking photos without anyone seeming to notice he was there - it was sweet that he already knew one side of the family! He then took some family portraits, which he managed to do quickly and painlessly, even capturing genuine smiles from some of our less comfortable in front of the camera family members! 🙂 During dinner and dancing Nelson was right in the action, getting so many amazing shots of people smiling, dancing, and talking to each other - the kind of photos we were really excited for. We received our photos as promised about 6 weeks after the wedding, and they were SO beautiful - the portraits highlighted his amazing ability to capture the most perfect light and put people at ease, and the more candid shots truly captured JOY - we are so grateful to have that gift after a day that was so important yet fleeting! It was such a pleasure to work with Nelson, and in our time with him at both weddings, we not only got to see what a great photographer he is, but what a kind and genuine person he is as well. We can’t recommend him highly enough, and hope to see him at future family and friend's weddings!

Nelson is a one-of-a-kind photographer! He and his team are super laid back and open to suggestions, yet still know what types of photos are needed for successful wedding photography. It was SUCH a pleasure working with him. On the day of our wedding, he was patient with our large families and bridal party and captured all our requested formal pictures. However, the best thing that I loved of Nelson's photography (and the main reason I chose him) was his candid photography! He captured moments that we'd have otherwise missed because we were enjoying our reception. I am forever grateful that we chose him as a photographer because the photos are absolutely beautiful. My husband said "Who needs a videographer when you have photos like these?" and he's very right!

Nelson and his team were amazing! They were well organized, punctual and so much fun to work with! We had a bridal party of 20 people and the most humid day summer could offer, yet his photos captured the most captivating and stunning moments a bride could ask for. Don't hesitate--book Nelson and NylaGray photography today! He is brilliant not just at recording the event but at capturing those special moments...guests in the midst of their experience, people having a great time on the dance floor, old friends catching up. We couldn't be happier with our wedding photos, and Nelson is also a pleasure to work with. No one even noticed him there, which might be why he was able to capture so many intimate moments. We had a large wedding, so Nelson recommended a second shooter, and he was absolutely right. His colleague also did a wonderful job and captured warm and memorable shots.

We absolutely LOVE Nelson. We got married 6/4/16 and are so thrilled with his work. As soon as we met him in person, we knew he was the one. We just clicked. His photos are gorgeous and he's so easy to be around, and you feel very comfortable in front of the camera. We had our engagement shoot rained out so we had to reschedule for only 3 weeks before the wedding but he rushed to get us them back a week before the wedding (when normally takes like 6 weeks) because he knew it was important for us to have them/see them before the wedding. On the day of, he and his second shooter, were early, and just made us so at ease the whole day. They captured everything! We got a "highlights" site of ~200 photos within a month of the wedding and the full shots a few weeks later, and we just couldn't be happier. The photos are BEAUTIFUL and the moments are so vivid, so full of life. We really had an amazing experience and HIGHLY RECOMMEND Nelson.

Nelson was recommended to us by one of our other vendors who spoke very highly of him. We knew before meeting him that we LOVED his work but once we met him in person we were sold! We wanted to make sure that we surrounded ourselves with people we actually liked on our wedding day. Nelson was so kind and courteous during our first meeting and there is something very calming about him that we loved! He has a laid back personality, yet still manages to be incredibly organized and on top of everything! He was a great help when we were working on our wedding day schedule and had great suggestions for us to help the day run more smoothly (ex. allowing more time for certain photos, etc.) He handled all last minute schedule changes with ease and even though we were a little short on time before our ceremony he managed to get all of the shots we had asked him for. The second shooter he brought along was just as great! Immediately following our wedding I had some regrets about not having a videographer. The day went by so fast and seemed like a blur. Nelson recently sent us a sneak peak of our photos and I no longer have any regrets about the videographer. His photos are so incredible and truly tell the entire story of our wedding day. He has photos of every detail and all of the special moments, from our first look, to exchanging our bands, to hugs from guests, they were all there! He managed to capture every raw emotion and we honestly cannot get over how wonderful they are! All of our family and friends are raving about the sneak peak photos and we are dying to see the rest. I could not recommend Nelson enough!

Nelson was our photographer for our August 9 wedding. He’s like a ninja. You totally don’t notice him there but then you end up with these amazing photos that capture so many moments. His colors pop, which is what drew us to him. We were upfront with Nelson and told him that we’re not photo people and would prefer most of our day to be spontaneous shots. He followed the brief to a T. He’s also really easy going and makes you feel very comfortable and at ease. I would definitely recommend him.

Plain and simple, Nelson was absolutely amazing! Leading up to, during, and post-wedding, Nelson was responsive, easy going, put us at ease, and was a joy to work with. From our first meeting with Nelson, we had 100% confidence that he would capture every special moment of our wedding in exactly the way we wanted. We were especially excited because Nelson’s work is the total opposite of cheesy, staged and boring.. he really captures raw emotions and special moments. When looking at our photos, we feel like we are back at our wedding, because Nelson was able to capture every aspect of it from all angles. He was everywhere without being noticed at all! He caught our guests expressions throughout the ceremony all the way to dancing at the end of the night, which is priceless. He photographed things we didn’t even notice during the wedding! Our wedding was in a venue without windows, and Nelson was able to light up the room in every photo. The vivid quality of his photos is beyond amazing, and everyone we have shown them to, agrees. I absolutely highly recommend Nelson!

Our wedding photos are spectacular -- and everyone is still talking about them! Nelson (photographer) was great to work with and he and his assistant really captured the joy and happiness of our special day. The photos really popped -- great color, great style. Nelson is creative and has an eye for unique shots. Again -- folks are RAVING about the photos. And so are we!

Nelson was incredibly professional and very quick in turn-around time with photos. He brought a second photographer, which we didn't ask for, but turned out to be great and took a whole lot more pics. His photography is stunning and very unique. Would recommend him to anyone looking!
