Kate and Mike were wonderful to work with. They are true professionals who know how to make all of the photography feel smooth and seamless. I can't recommend them enough. I'm not planning on getting married ever again, but if I were to, I'd rehire Kate and Mike in a heartbeat. And of course, the pictures themselves are amazing. We have gotten so many complements from friends and family about how great the pictures are. One of the things they did so well was capture small moments that bring us right back to the day. Photography was the best investment we made for our wedding and I am so happy we'll have these pictures to look back on for years and years.

Kate & Mike have been absolutely amazing through the engagement and wedding photo process. My husband and I don’t take pictures often and don’t necessarily like being the center of attention. Kate & Mike helped us feel at ease. They provided a thorough day of timeline as a starting point for me to organize all other day of items and made great suggestions for photos. We weren’t really sure where to take photographs at the venue but they helped pick out some amazing spots day of. Their work is creative and shows great experience. I 100% will be referring them to friends and family as well as using them in the future.

Working with Kate and Mike was wonderful from beginning to end. There are so many great photographers out there but we wanted to find one that we really gelled with on a more personal level, because neither my husband or I like getting our photo taken much, we prefer a candid/photojournalist type of approach. Oak and Pine was super responsive as soon as I reached out and all along the process. Kate was the perfect balance of directing us to some degree and capturing our natural actions the rest of the way. Both Kate and Mike are really friendly but also not intense. They are really professional but not too serious. We just felt so comfortable with them. They offer a really reasonably priced engagement shoot that you can add to your wedding package and I'm really glad we took that opportunity. We got great photos as well as some experience working with them before the wedding. On the day of, I barely noticed them but they got tons of pictures of every single moment, including plenty of natural and candid stuff. The photos are beautiful and high quality. Overall they were just awesome. I highly recommend them!

Where to begin? My husband and I had the pleasure of having Kate and Matt as our photographers for our wedding on 05/19/2018. I was scrolling obsessively through the Knot, trying to find "the one" who I knew could capture my vision for my wedding. When I saw Oak+Pine's photos on the Knot and their website, I instantly knew. Kate and Matt were instrumental to our wedding day. The pictures that I received are genuinely mind-boggling in their beauty, and the skill that was involved in taking and editing them is undeniable. Every single person who sees our photos is speechless. But perhaps even more importantly, Kate and Matt were not just photographers, they became our friends. My whole bridal party enjoyed spending time with them as well. They helped steer the ship and helped me to craft our timeline, which is actually a pretty daunting task, but they have it down to a science. I LOVED their teamwork with our other vendors, including our day-of coordinator Christina. (I hope they can work together in the future, because they were a dream). Kate was also fiercely protective of me as the bride, going well above and beyond what anyone would expect of a photographer. I had some embarrassing "family drama" which involved some pretty blatant meanness, and she was not only supportive, but she also crafted a plan well ahead of time to help contain/mitigate/handle any potential issues. I was so nervous to mention anything, but Kate and Matt totally put me at ease. When the inappropriate behavior began, Kate instantly jumped in to nip it in the bud, and made sure I was ok. I can't stress enough how wonderful that was. Being a bride(even a very organized one) is so stressful, and there is so much pressure. To know that your vendors truly, genuinely care about you and are invested in your day is invaluable. When you choose Oak + Pine, you aren't just a number, or even just a client. I can't say enough good things about Kate! She did our engagement shoot and wedding on 4/28/18 and both were fantastic! We are not the most photogenic couple, and we have a hard time being serious, but Kate pulled out the best of both of us! She was so easy to work with and had excellent communication throughout the process. Her photos are STUNNING and I would recommend her for literally and event that you're trying to capture.

Besides marrying my husband and sharing the day with our friends and family, photography was the most important part to me. Kate and Mike went above and beyond expectation for both our engagement and wedding photos. For those of you planning your own wedding - Kate is a logistical timeline genius. Logistics were one of the most stressful parts of planning my own wedding. The meeting with them before our wedding was so helpful and made the day go smoothly and get all the pictures we wanted and then some. Their photo booth is awesome. The pictures are high quality and we not only have physical copies but a link to share. Well worth it! Kate and Mike being a husband and wife team just get it. I don't know where to begin. Kate is nothing short of amazing! She is super creative but also really organized (which I greatly appreciated since I was planning our wedding out of state). She's easy to get ahold of/responds quickly to emails (she even put together our timeline 9 months prior to our date! Yes, she's that good!). Mike and her have a great working relationship and made my husband and I feel comfortable in front of the camera (I actually forgot they were there sometimes, they did a really great job capturing our wedding day without making it feel stressful or rushed). I had such a wonderful experience working with Kate. From the beginning, Kate was so easy and enjoyable to work with. She communicated well and was also friendly and professional. Kate took photos at a family celebration for our wedding - so not a typical wedding set-up. She had to be even more flexible and do a lot of improvising. Kate's talent really shined - she took the most beautiful photos inside and outdoors, posed pictures, candids, stills, etc. She was even able to get some adorable pictures of 5 children, 3 and under, who weren't particularly happy that evening. She absolutely did a fantastic job, and I would not hesitate to recommend her to friends and family. Kate captured some very special memories, and we are so grateful.

Kate is wonderful to work with - we are not very good models, but our pictures turned out AMAZING because she made us feel so comfortable. Other photographers I looked at seemed to use the same shot list for every wedding, but Mike and Kate really focus on capturing the emotion and the magic of the day. They were also extremely organized and "managed" us leading up to and during the big day, which is something I came to appreciate juggling all these different vendors and deadlines. We also got our photos back in a very reasonable time frame as promised! I wish I could give Kate and Mike 10 stars! The first time I met Kate we completely clicked and I knew she would be the perfect person to help me through this wedding process. She came to our first meeting with a wedding timeline and walked through an example of the day with us which completely impressed me. Then through the planning process she gave me tips, examples and calmed me down when I was stressing. By the time the wedding came I felt like I had a close friend as my photographer and not just someone I was paying to take photos. Throughout the day/night Kate & Mike captured the exact weird goofiness that is me & my husband. Then when we had a medical emergency at the wedding they stayed an extra hour so I could compose myself for a sneak away. Then when the photos came out I was blown away! Greybird Galleries has exceeded my expectations and the wedding hasn't even happened yet! We received the link to our engagement session photos a few days ago and I can't stop looking at them! AMAZING! The first time I had the pleasure of meeting Mike and Kate, I was a bridesmaid for two of my best friends from High School - Alex and Becci Shields. I had the privilege of meeting Kate and Mike on June 21st while they photographed a wedding I was in. It was apparent from the beginning that they really take pride in their photos and the moments being captured. We got married in August and Greybird Galleries exceeded our expectations! Kate and Mike are a married couple that let you enjoy your wedding. Each of our photos told our story, whether it was capturing my girls dancing while getting ready or seeing the photo of my husband laughing with his oldest friend. I just got married this past Friday night (10.24.14) and I know I made the best choice hiring Kate and Mike. I have a (now) husband who absolutely HATES taking photos. He actually begged me to cancel our engagement photos and we did. Kate allowed us to move that hour of time to our ceremony/wedding, which was so nice of her! Let me just say this, there were several things about my wedding day that were unexpected and a little stressful, it wasn't until Kate arrived that I felt better about things! She was so positive, calm and made me feel so much better and more relaxed! She captured stunning photos of all the DIY details I worked so hard on, took me outside as the sun was setting and took one of the most gorgeous pictures of myself I had ever seen, and captured moments between Sam and I that I could have only wished for. Now all I keep thinking is, when can I hire her again... Last, as I mentioned above I hired Kate and Mike. They are just the most adorable couple that work fabulously together. They took pictures of everything I wanted, they were creative, and always made sure they had the best shot with the best light. I would recommend them to anyone and I CAN NOT wait to see all my photos!! THANKS AGAIN TO BOTH OF YOU!

My husband and I are very pleased with GG work! He was less than enthused about hiring a professional photographer as he was not a big fan of being photographed. In almost every picture I take of him, he is making a goofy face. But after only a few minutes in our engagement session we both felt very comfortable with Kate and forgot about the camera. We love the final work! He is even hand making picture frames to make a picture wall of our engagement and wedding photos! On our wedding day she was timely and so accommodating. Somehow she was always around to catch important moments but we didn't feel like the photography was the focus of our day. We wanted more natural shots, to capture the feeling and tell the story of our wedding day and she delivered just that!. We are so pleased on every level with GG. I recommended them to my best friend and she has booked them for her wedding. Will continue to sing GG praises!
