Oak City Ceremonies

rsonal and meaningful. She took the time to get to know our story, our personalities, and what mattered most to us, and it showed in every single word spoken! The ceremony was heartfelt, beautifully written, and delivered with such grace and sincerity that our families are still talking about it. They struck the perfect balance between romance, joy, and a touch of humor—making everyone feel included and connected in our special moment. Rebecca's attention to detail, sweet, sincere presence, and genuine care for us as a couple made all the difference. We are so grateful Rebecca was part of our day, and we highly recommend Oak City Ceremonies to any couple looking for an officiant who will make their wedding truly unforgettable.

meeting with her! She quickly responded to our initial request for information and outlined all of the surveys and questionnaires she sends to you and friends/family to get to know you and write the perfect love story to read during the ceremony. Everyone loved the ceremony and commented how great Rebecca was and how she perfectly told our story! We cannot recommend Rebecca enough!

She made it personal and funny and really just so so special. She helped with the process of getting a marriage license and giving us all the information we needed which was a HUGE help. 10/10 would not have changed a thing.

ve story. Many of the attendees knew our love story, but it was so wonderful to share it from both of our perspectives. Because our ceremony itself was so personal and intimate, we really didn't feel the need to do public vows, which was a huge plus to us. I'm still receiving compliments on how lovely of a ceremony it was!

. It was really important to us that the ceremony not just be an obligatory half hour on the way to the party, but a feature part of our wedding day. Rebecca of Oak City Ceremonies made it so. We met virtually with Rebecca for an initial consultation and immediately knew the vibe was right. We booked her and when our wedding day got closer, we met with her in person for a coffee and chat about what we wanted for our ceremony. She sent up follow up materials, including potential readings for our friends, sample vows, and videos of how we could do our handfasting ceremony. She also sent us a survey (for me and my now husband to complete), which asked about our first date, first impressions, what we love about each other now, etc. From all the information she gathered, Rebecca wrote us the most beautiful and authentic-to-us ceremony. One guest commented afterward that the way that Rebecca wove in our Love Story made her and our other guests feel like they were part of that story. Many other guests remarked upon how beautiful our ceremony was. Rebecca’s words really brought everyone together in this common understanding of why we were all gathered here today: the work and love that had been put into our relationship, now culminating in this moment where we joined in matrimony. We couldn’t recommend Rebecca and Oak City Ceremonies more highly! Rebecca was responsive, worked with us with various ceremony/vow changes, and just a genuinely kind and friendly person. We’re so grateful that we found her to write our Love Story and share it so powerfully with all of our family and friends! (Photography: Laura Memory Photography; Wedding Planner: Events by Emily)

much Rebecca for making our day special!

emonies!

lly capture your story for the ceremony. We had so much fun in the process of crafting it and meeting them, and we were blown away by the results. Emily is so poised and did the best job. Several guests thought she was my relative because she's so genuine and feels like she's known us since the beginning with the way she delivered. She was so well spoken with the right combination of sincerity, love and humor. Rebecca was such a joy to work with in all the planning stages and is so responsive and detailed. We felt comfortable working with them right away and that never changed. I couldn't recommend them enough!

had known us for years. It was perfect for us.

at we found her. Not only did we meet with Rebecca well before our wedding day to ensure it was a good match, but she was also extremely available over email and phone! Rebecca gave us so much creative liberty to tailor the ceremony script into everything we ever dreamed of and if we were unsure about something, she was quick to offer examples or advice! Rebecca was even willing to come to our rehearsal dinner and run through last-minute details. During our wedding itself, Rebecca was absolutely phenomenal! Almost all of our guests asked about our relationship with Rebecca and mentioned that it was "the best wedding ceremony they have ever attended!" I was asked several times by wedding guests if Rebecca was a member of our family, since she captured the nuances and details of our love story so incredibly well! Rebecca intentionally sent a survey to our close family and friends asking for their perspective of our relationship. This process allows her to get to know the couple from multiple perspectives and provide a holistic backstory during the ceremony. We are endlessly thankful for choosing Rebecca to officiate our ceremony!

id and didn’t want as part of our ceremony a few months before. Then she provided my fiance & I with a questionnaire about our journey together. She also reached out to some family & friends we provided to her with some questions. With the answers to all these questions she wrote our love story (that was shared during the ceremony). It was as if she’d known us all along. It was heartfelt and captured our true emotions while having some lightheartedness for us and guests to laugh too. For all aspects outside of the love story, Rebecca let us pick and choose what we wanted included and exactly what was said. She provided the exact script (minus the love story) ahead of time and allowed us to make edits. We received SO many compliments from guests saying it was the best ceremony they have witnessed. Compliments were not only about the content of the ceremony but the strong, genuine way that Rebecca delivered it. I am so thankful we chose Rebecca for our wedding day!!❤️

ca, we knew we were in good hands. She took the time to get to know us as a couple and really understand our story and what we wanted for our ceremony. Her warmth, sincerity, and attention to detail immediately put us at ease, and we felt confident that she would create a ceremony that was truly reflective of our love and commitment to each other. And she did not disappoint. Rebecca crafted a personalized ceremony that was both heartfelt and meaningful, incorporating elements of our love story and our shared values. Her words were so beautifully written and delivered that there wasn't a dry eye in the house. She struck the perfect balance between sincerity and celebration, and her delivery was both eloquent and heartfelt. Not only did Rebecca create a ceremony that had all of our guests in tears, but she also made sure that the entire process leading up to the big day was smooth and stress-free. She was responsive, organized, and professional throughout, and we felt completely supported by her every step of the way. We are so grateful to Rebecca for playing such an important role in our wedding day. Her personalized ceremony set the tone for the rest of the evening and left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance. If you're looking for an officiant who will go above and beyond to create a ceremony that is truly special and meaningful, look no further than Rebecca Wiglama. Thank you, Rebecca, for making our wedding day unforgettable!

be exactly what we wanted. All of our guests RAVED about our ceremony and how it was different than most weddings. Rebecca told our story by having us fill out a survey but also our friends and family so that she could write a version of our story from our perspective but also the perspective of those close to us. We were able to incorporate anything we wanted as well. It was a truly magical ceremony and we are forever grateful to have had Rebecca officiate our wedding! You could not choose a better officiant.

an make or break the guests' experience. Rebecca was so organized and patient with us throughout the entire process, and is an incredibly gifted writer and speaker. You can't go wrong booking Oak City Ceremonies!

ht questions, and making us feel so heard throughout the process. They are fantastic listeners, kind people, and masters of their craft. With the level of care they put into our ceremony, we didn't even need a coordinator. Reading the final draft brought tears to my wife and my eyes. It was beautiful. Thank you both so much, for everything. 100/10 would recommend these wonderful women to anyone.

cca) was amazing! Rebecca was so responsive and helpful when it came to planning our perfect ceremony that really captured us as a couple. She listened to our ideas, answered our questions, and helped us customize our own ceremony script/outline. She did a great job getting to know us, listening to our perspective, and learning our love story. Our ceremony was so personal and such a reflection of our journey together as a couple! We loved how she contacted close family and friends to get their insight on us as a couple. We also loved how she asked my husband and I, separately, about our love story and all the reasons why we love each other. During the ceremony, Rebecca had such a calm presence which really helped my husband and I calm our nerves. I could not recommend her enough!!!!!!! Our ceremony was so perfect thanks to her. We are so grateful to have had her as our officiant :)

our friends and family. They loved how Rebecca walked them through our love story, it was truly beautiful. It was important to us that our ceremony feel personal and Rebecca executed that so perfectly!! We will highly recommend Oak City Ceremonies to all of our friends and family.

the time to get to know the couple and craft a truly unique and beautiful love story that is shared with our wedding guests. We had multiple guests come up to us and tell us that our ceremony was beautiful and one of the best wedding ceremonies they had ever attended. One of my husband's cousins even told us that she's only cried 7 times in her life and our wedding was the 7th because the story was so beautiful. If you are getting married in the Triangle area, you HAVE to book Oak City Ceremonies!!

d always made us feel so special! The day of the wedding, I could not have asked for a better ceremony! You will not regret working with these amazing ladies!! 10/10!!!!

had always pictured. Rebecca calmed our fears and gave us everything we had been looking for and more! She took the time to really get to know us as a couple and as individuals so she could tell our love story in a really meaningful way. aspects, sends reminders on marriage licenses, and has all the smaller details you wouldn't always think about covered. Our guests commented on how sweet the ceremony was - this wouldn't have been possible without Oak City Ceremonies. We were happy to have Rebecca standing (and sweating) with us in the July heat!

he moment we met them, and they guided us through the entire process with grace and expertise. From our initial consultation to the day of the ceremony, Emily and Rebecca took the time to understand our love story, our values, and our vision for the wedding. They crafted a ceremony that was uniquely tailored to us, incorporating our beliefs and traditions seamlessly. Their attention to detail and their ability to capture our essence as a couple were truly remarkable. The ceremony itself was a testament to Emily’s skill as officiants. Emily exuded a calming presence that helped set the tone for the entire event. Her eloquent and heartfelt words resonated with us and our guests, creating an atmosphere filled with love and joy. Her delivery was flawless, and her ability to engage the audience was remarkable. Beyond their roles as officiants, Emily and Rebecca went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our ceremony was flawless. They were responsive, organized, and attentive to our needs throughout the planning process. Their guidance and support were invaluable, making the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. We cannot express enough gratitude to Emily and Rebecca for their extraordinary contribution to our wedding day. They exceeded our expectations in every way, and their passion for uniting hearts is truly inspirational. You truly made our day a beautiful celebration of our love, and we will cherish the memories you helped us create forever.

d learning about how Oak City Ceremonies totally customizes and writes a 100% original script for each ceremony. Rebecca took the time to get to know us personally- and sent us and our closest friends and family questionnaires to get to know us better. She used these questionnaires to write a beautiful synopsis of our love story to share during our ceremony. At our reception- almost everyone that we spoke with remarked on how much they loved hearing our love story and how our ceremony was so special and different from any other wedding they have attended (in a good way!). She was so flexible and inclusive and made us feel comfortable throughout the whole process. We also greatly appreciated that she made herself available the day before our ceremony to attend our rehearsal with the bridal party. All of my bridesmaids told me that Rebecca had such a sweet and calming presence that put them all at ease. Beyond that- both before and after our wedding day- Rebecca sent us helpful check-in emails (like reminding us to pick up our marriage license!) and also sending helpful information about the name change process and etc. We are so grateful that Rebecca was available for our wedding day, and we honestly can’t imagine the day without her. We can’t wait to get our wedding footage back so we can rewatch our special ceremony! I would (and I will!) without question recommend Rebecca and Oak City Ceremonies to anyone looking for an officiant for their wedding day. Thank you, Rebecca!

e script for our ceremony and Emily served as our officiant. My husband and I really had no idea what we wanted from our ceremony, and meeting with Rebecca and Emily immediately put us at ease. They were able to suggest some beautiful readings as well as language for our vows and ring exchange. Rebecca also kept us involved throughout the process, and made sure we were happy with every aspect of our ceremony. Rebecca did an excellent job writing our "love story" to share during our ceremony, and she made it so easy for us by talking with us and sending us surveys to fill out about our story. We loved this part of planning our ceremony - through hectic wedding planning, it really allowed us to take a moment to reflect on our love and our marriage. She struck the perfect balance between lighthearted and sentimental. Emily attended our rehearsal and made sure everyone knew what to do. On the day of our wedding, Emily was wonderful at making a last minute shift indoors due to weather, and, during the ceremony, you could tell that everyone in the room felt connected. We have received so many compliments from our guests about how much they loved Emily and our ceremony! We really can't say enough wonderful things about our experience with Rebecca and Emily. We loved working with them, and they really made our ceremony the absolute best part of our day!

ad. The love story she wrote for us- had us crying (tears of joys, of course!) My guests cannot stop talking about how well spoken Rebecca is and how they loved our ceremony because it was personalized to us. I would recommend her & this company to anyone who is on the look for an officiant!

vorite part of my wedding (usually I’m just waiting for those to move along so we can party, lol). Emily was actively excited about our wedding and marriage and it made us feel so happy to have such an engaged and dedicated person officiating our wedding. They were organized, helpful, and a calm presence throughout all of the planning and the big day and I cannot thank Emily enough for all she did! Highly, highly recommend!

rly planners so we had a full year of getting to know her and Emily through Instagram posts and periodic check-ins. Their energy and vibe is so genuine and positive! I can't say enough great things about them. They are inclusive and they go above and beyond to make your day exactly what YOU envision it to be. Without a doubt, we wouldn't have changed a thing and we will be forever grateful that Rebecca was the one to officiate the beginning of this next chapter in our lives!

but she felt like the right person immediately. She was super sweet, so accommodating, but also extremely patient. It took me a while to respond when she needed details from me, but she was kind and understanding because she knew how overwhelmed I was. She officiated our ceremony beautifully and made it absolutely perfect - everyone was raving about her and she soothed my nerves throughout the ceremony. Highly recommend Rebecca - she was perfect for us :) thank you!

Thank you, Rebecca! And we highly recommend these officiants for any couples currently planning their special day.

y-tears! She is professional and organized, and communicated with us promptly throughout the entire planning process. We had such a nice time getting to know Rebecca at our in-person planning meeting, she was so thoughtful in her "interview" of us, and asked so many questions that we never would have thought of to capture every detail needed to make our day special and perfect. She also reached out to family and friends throughout the planning process to obtain different perspectives and fun stories to help tell our story. She even provided us with helpful information concerning obtaining a marriage license, name change tips/information, and vow ideas. And her calm and kind demeanor was much appreciated to help calm our nerves on the day of! I whole-heartedly recommend Oak City Ceremonies. Thank you again, Rebecca!

e (needless to say) were in massive panic mode. Our ceremony was incredibly important to us. We wanted it to be fun, intimate and personal. Finding an officiant that’s capable of crafting a heart-warming story, with a twist of humor and wrapping it all together to make it the most memorable day of your life, all within a month is impossible. Well, we found out that the impossible was made possible when we found Rebecca and asked her to be our officiant. Rebecca bent over backwards to fit us into her schedule. She went above and beyond to make our wedding special and a day we’d cherish forever. With her kind personality, witty humor and in-depth research into our family, friends and us as a couple, she was able to tell the story of our relationship and love without being stoic, creepy or boring (much like other officiants) and despite the fact that she had another ceremony less than 15 minutes after ours. Words can’t express how grateful we are for you to make our big day as special as it was. Thank you so much Rebecca!!

and how it was all put together. Everything came together so beautifully — IT WAS PERFECT - you two really make an amazing team! Thank you both for being a major piece of the most magical day of our lives. We are so lucky and honored to have had Oak City Ceremonies prepare and officiate our wedding ceremony. We would also like to thank you for your service after we married and all of the information provided to make name change and other post wedding ‘to-dos’ easier. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this team for any couple getting married. They truly brought magic and originality to our ceremony! Thank you 🙏❤️

d our love story! Thanks so much again Emily and Rebecca!!

mes and she answered all of our questions so we felt comfortable with the process. She had great suggestions for different elements to bring into the ceremony and was receptive to the ideas that we had, and creatively helped us figure out how to include all the elements we wanted to be in there without making it all feel too long. After the ceremony, all of our guests kept coming up to us to tell us how much they loved the ceremony, which is usually the part that people are ready to be done with! Rebecca made it funny, sweet, and unique to us -- and we loved that she kept the story of how we met a surprise to us until the wedding day! Truly can't recommend her and her company enough. Super thorough, very professional, and very affordable for any budget!

fficiant on the wedding day. Both were very responsive and professional. Many of the guests at the wedding said it was one of the best ceremonies they had been to and had the perfect balance of humor, sentiment, and personal touches. BONUS - Emily is bilingual and can speak fluent Spanish. As a Wedding Planner, I will definitely be working with them again in the future!

ough we honestly were not sure at first what that entailed). They sent us so many different ideas and versions until we would what we wanted. They also did a great job including different cultural and religious elements into our ceremony. We highly recommend Oak City Ceremonies to anyone who is hoping for a personal ceremony that reflects you and your partner.

remony. We had an outdoor July ceremony and she never once complained about the heat and was wonderful around our dogs, who were also in the ceremony. We are so appreciative of her service and would give her 10 stars if we could.

joy to work with. We went over our vows together and she ensured our ceremony was not only unique to our love story, but reflected the tone we wanted for our special day. We are so grateful we found Rebecca and she was a staple to making our wedding day very special. wedding. She also had my fiancé and me write down some things about each other that were incorporated into the wedding as a surprise, which was really fun to have a little piece we hadn't seen in advance. She was professional and really made the ceremony portion of the wedding planing easy!

ed. Rebecca wrote a phenomenal story that, even though it was about me and my now husband–so of course I know the story–I found myself so enthralled and kept thinking "oooh this is good, what's going to happen next?". Rebecca truly cares for her couples and is an absolute pleasure to work with. We can't thank her enough!

me of our friends/family (we provided email addresses). She customized our service with OUR love story! We had multiple people tell us it was one of the most personal ceremonies they’ve been to and they wanted to hear more of the story. I highly, highly recommend her!!!
