Oak Hill Farm

We had our wedding at Oak Hill Farm in Apple River, IL, and I truly cannot say enough amazing things about Becky and her incredible team. From the very beginning, Becky went above and beyond to make the planning process so smooth and stress-free. She provided us with a detailed planning document, was always quick to respond to emails, open to phone calls, and shared thoughtful suggestions along the way. She even had a vendor guide, which was a huge help since I was planning the wedding from Chicago. Every step of the way, Becky and her staff exceeded expectations. On the wedding day, we had an outdoor ceremony planned—and right before I was about to walk down the aisle, the rain started. Becky, knowing how important it was to keep my dress, hair, and makeup intact, made sure I was covered and safe (even when I was stubborn and wanted to stay put). I am so grateful she stepped in when she did. For guests who did get caught in the rain, she and her staff handed out towels and even clothing to make sure everyone was comfortable. They immediately pivoted to start cocktail hour early and opened the bar, so guests were happy and entertained while we waited out the storm. What impressed me most was how seamlessly everything ran despite the weather. My décor had to be rushed inside to keep it from getting ruined, and with the help of my coordinators, her staff set it up so beautifully that it looked like it was always meant to be there. When the rain stopped, they wiped and dried every chair so I could still have the outdoor ceremony I had dreamed of. Thanks to them, my moment wasn’t taken away—it just started a little later, and it was every bit as magical as I hoped. Throughout the night, Becky and her team worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure everything flowed perfectly. From morning to night, they were unmatched in their professionalism, care, and genuine investment in making our day special. As for the venue itself, my guests couldn’t stop raving about the picturesque grounds. Many of my guests said it felt like being in a movie, and more than 20 people mentioned that my outdoor ceremony reminded them of Twilight. Everyone loved the charm of the property, including the horses and donkeys that roam freely and add to the magic of the setting.  Unfortunately, the rain kept my guests from fully exploring Oak Hill’s stunning property, including the beautiful church, the schoolhouse, the Woodshed Barn, and the antique country store—but it’s safe to say Oak Hill Farm is truly a hidden gem. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Oak Hill Farm is a dream venue, and Becky and her team are truly one-of-a-kind. Even with a rain delay, I had the most beautiful experience and the wedding of my dreams, all thanks to them.

Beautiful venue, clean, comfortable and really helped make the day special! Loved the landscaping and animals nearby. The amenities were great such as the groom's quarters, bridal suite area, firepit, etc. The wedding ceremony area was beautiful - amazing setting for special occasions!
