The food was amazing, and having it in-house was such a relief while planning a wedding. We cannot recommend working with this team enough!

The space worked great for up to 300 people and could have held more! We loved the setup we had for our welcome party and we had the best time. Such a great venue to host your wedding or any event in Oak Park, highly recommend!

l like royalty. Additionally, Woody's food was INCREDIBLE. I got so many compliments about the food, which was so important to us. The tasting was also an amazing and fun process. Woody was always punctual about answering my panicked bride questions. He was clear, available, and easy to work with. This venue is classic, beautiful, and one of the most affordable in the Chicagoland area, but trust me, you're not skimping out with this place. I am nearly in tears as I write this because I'm just so grateful. They gave me the wedding reception of my dreams.

ng the thick of COVID in 2020 and had to reschedule like multiple times. The staff especially Woody and Ryan were very responsive and flexible during the whole process of preparing for our wedding. We had to downsize our wedding drastically but our wedding was nonetheless beautiful and a dream. The venue was perfect for our 20s vintage style wedding. Couldn't recommend them more.

He was very responsive and made our experience great! He is a rockstar! Stephanie was also very attentive and kind with us and guest! She is amazing! I would highly recommend this venue! romantic vintage charm. Its location in downtown Oak Park is ideal. Easy city access and great backdrop for photos. Me and my husband both work in the industry and most of our friends so it was important that we found a place with a memorable space, great food and accommodating to our special wants and needs. We had an 150 person wedding. Our ceremony and cocktail hour was held downstairs in the adorable parlor and then continued to our reception upstairs in the ballroom. I did not want a sit-down dinner (takes up too much time rather be partying) so our event coordinator Ryan was super helpful and suggested passing apps heavily and then setting up different food stations through out the reception. All my guests raved about how great the food was especially the Beef Wellington and homemade gnocchi. All the food is made by their in-house chef Woody. The whole day went so smooth and our banquet captain Stephanie was very sweet and made sure to check in with my husband and me throughout our reception. We really utilized the space in the ballroom, we rented some cool lounge furniture and hired a band to fill the big beautiful stage. Their sound system is great highly recommend live music. Everyone kept telling us it was the best wedding they’ve been too. I owe a lot to our coordinator Ryan he really listened to us and successfully actualized our vision. 10/10 would do it again.

the food provided by Oak Park Banquets was incredibly delicious! Our guests still talk about how good everything was. The venue was flexible and allowed us to customize our beer offerings and have specialty cocktails, they let us bring in aguas frescas and even set it up for us since it went with the theme of our wedding, and my dad was able to come in the morning of to set up decorations. The venue is beautiful, freshly renovated and you tell it's well loved and preserved. I can't say enough positive things about the Nineteenth Century Club and what a great experience it was!

he food was top notch. We rented the first and second floor for our wedding of about 240 people. We used the first floor for cocktail hour and then had the kids eat down there while everyone else was in the upstairs ballroom for dinner. My wedding was 8 months ago and I still regularly have friends and family members comment on how beautiful and unique the venue was. It was so convenient to have everything in one space, but great to save the first look of the ballroom until after cocktail hour. Despite initially having a delay in response when I first reached out for a tour, I could not have imagined a better group to work with in planning my wedding than Danielle and her team. Danielle is a true professional- she is calm and reassuring and throughout the entire process made me feel completely comfortable in her hands. From suggestions such as having the salads already platted when guests are seated to move the dinner service along, to her suggestions on where to place the DJ so he would not be in the background of our photos of the speeches (something I had not thought of!), she knows what she's doing. In addition, she was so accommodating to my father-in-law who was quite particular on the wine choices for the evening! The day could not have run any smoother. We did use their catering services and the food did not disappoint. I will be honest that the food was not a top priority of mine, so I really lucked out that the food here is incredible. So many guests commented on how good the food was- and not just good for being "wedding food", but a genuinely great meal. Lastly, this venue was by far the best value I found and believe me I searched throughout the entire Chicagoland area. I cannot emphasize enough how great of a decision it was to have our reception at the 19th Century Club!

is elegant, and adding just a few floral centerpieces was all the decor it needed. We fit 150 guests in easily with room for a generous dance floor. The staff was awesome! Danielle was super informative, capable, organized, and nice :) The food was delicious. Our wedding was so much fun! I highly recommend the 19th century club!

illars, windows were just beautiful. I wanted something different than a hotel but big enough that we could accommodate 250 guests with no problems. The food was delicious and our guest are still talking about it. Everything was perfect!

n I saw the inside. it's very old and not very well kept...I felt that the overall price including the caterers and the hall, etc. was not worth it. I walked away said from this one

xpressway and CTA. Because they don't have a huge staff they sometimes take a few days to call back. We looked at many pricier venues in the city and overall I am SO glad we went with this one!

ter getting engaged, my fiance and I scheduled an appointment to see the space and fell in love. We did not want a typical banquet hall and the 19th century club offered something more! We only looked at two spaces and 19th century was one of them. Ellen was great in helping us with any questions we had about the process and providing us with information we needed. She was flexible and professional. Our guests all raved about how beautiful, vintage, and unique our venue was. Best part-it's a non-profit that serves students in the community with scholarships! A win for me since I work in education.
