l, fun, and easy. The tasting was easy to schedule and we got to try 4 types of cakes and even got to take the extras home with us for free, which made my husband VERY happy! Courtney showed me the book of cakes to get an idea. None of them spoke out to me, but I found a picture of one that I had liked online and sent that to her. Oakmont made my perfect wedding cake come to life! It was just stunning! We decided on a 3-tiered wedding cake that was frosted with a textured buttercream and had dots going around the bottom of each tier. They provide the top layer at no cost since it doesn’t get to be enjoyed until your one year anniversary – I don’t know if I can wait that long! We got 2 tiers and a supplement cake of red velvet cake with a cream cheese filling and a tier and a supplement cake of white cake with a Bavarian cream filling. It was nice that Courtney reached out a few weeks before the wedding to reconfirm all the details before our final balance was due since our headcount had decreased. For those guests who are familiar with Oakmont, they were so excited that was where our wedding cake was from. Those guests who are not familiar with Oakmont, they thought that the cake was incredible and we received so many compliments. Everyone loved the cake so much that we didn’t even have leftovers. Excellent choice and excellent cake! We will absolutely be going back for more and using Oakmont for any and every occasion!

ld meet with someone else, which saved me a special trip. When we arrived at the store, all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. We had an idea of what we wanted for our cake, but we weren't sure if we wanted anything special for cupcakes. Kayla patiently walked us through all of the options. Then we got to the tasting: we had requested one white almond and one chocolate cake. The former was split between lemon and raspberry filling while the latter had chocolate buttercream and fudge. All four variants were fantastic. We ended up going for a combination of lemon and raspberry filling and white almond for our cake and white almond with lemon filling and chocolate with fudge filling for our cupcakes. The prices were great. We were given two sample cakes for free, and we were told that if we wanted any more, it would only be $5 per. My husband and I had more cake than we could handle with just the two provided samples! We opted to pick up the cake and cupcakes because our venue was relatively far, but the price they quoted for delivery was also reasonable. Our guests absolutely loved the cupcakes. We brought some extras into work, and they vanished very quickly. We're longtime customers of Oakmont--from birthdays to parties and everything in between--and we will happily continue to be. Affordable, great quality, warm hospitality, and absolutely delicious.

eated a gorgeous cake based off of a Robert Ryman painting, an artist whose work is part of the Dia Art Foundation where my husband and I got engaged. They even put our names and the date of our wedding at the bottom of the cake in the format that Ryman used to sign his work!

er. Several well known bakeries in the area were very against this and recommended us not to do this. However, Courtney at Oakmont was amazing! They had done one before and after speaking to her about our ideas they were on board! Our Cake Topper has huge sentimental value to us, being it was what my husband used to propose. Oakmont took special care of it for us. Our Cake looked better than I imagined it.They delivered it and got it set up perfectly. They worked with our florist, Gerard Boeh, to get the flowers added. It was gorgeous and it taste amazing! We when with a White Almond Cake with half with a fresh strawberry filling, and the other with a fudge filling. I could eat this cake all the time! So delicious and so many great compliments! Thank you so much Courtney, and the rest of the team at Oakmont for making our day amazing!

what I described was spot-on. They also coordinated the drop off time with my florist which relieved me from more phone calls and coordination. Also Courtney, the wedding coordinator, was very easy to get in touch with and made the whole process smooth even with multiple changes we made to the order. Of course, most importantly, the cupcakes and cake are delicious and were a big hit with our guests. I certainly recommend Oakmont as an affordable and delicious choice for dessert!

a strawberry filling. The buttercream icing was perfect and made for a light summer dessert. It wasn't overly sweet and was exactly what we were looking for. The design was beautiful as well. Since most of our guests were from out of town, we also had Oakmont provide our cookies for a cookies table too. Please check out this bakery- you'll be just as happy as we are!

with little icing on the outside. I was told by several that it “could be done, but isn’t a good idea because it dries the cake out” meaning, they make the cakes weeks in advance and freeze them. When I met with Courtney Daniels at Oakmont, I explained what I wanted and without blinking an eye, said yes, we can do that. She explained they made the cake the day before so drying out was not a concern. I selected 3 different cake batters/fillings for each tier and the finished product was exactly what I wanted and beautiful. The cake was just what I expected from Oakmont, moist and flavorful. Since I am from the South, I elected to have a ‘groom’s cake’ in the place of cookie table. (gasp!!, I know.) The bakers at Oakmont created an amazing 3D fondant covered Stanley Cup cake for me to give to my groom. He was telling everyone at the cocktail hour that it wasn’t a cake because it looked that good. He didn’t know it was until we cut it! Courtney was great to work with and responded timely to any questions I had during the planning process. She also coordinated with the florist on delivery for placement of flowers on the cake. Overall a very positive experience with Oakmont.

ry excited about our design ideas, and went through the costs and iterations with us very thoroughly, so we knew exactly what we were paying for. Back to the cake... We wanted woodgrain airbrushing on our cake, and four or five days before the wedding, I received a call from the bakery saying they had concerns about putting that detailing on the buttercream, so they upgraded us to fondant for free to get our design done perfectly. When we arrived to the venue early the morning of to set up, the cake came, and we were blown away! Everyone stopped what they were doing for ten solid minutes to Ohh and Ahh over it and take photographs. What's more, it was absolutely delicious. Everyone loved the flavour and some friends ate a second piece with us at home that night! We are absolutely in love with the work the Oakmont put into our cake, and we can't wait to order one (smaller, of course!) for our anniversary.

They worked directly with our reception venue and florist (we had fresh flowers cascading down) that past the point of dropping the cake topper off 2 weeks prior, we had nothing to worry about! We would truly recommend them to anyone. They always seem to live up to their name yet weddings, they knock it out of the park!

had to guess, I'd assume that the decorator was inexperienced. A few details that I had specifically asked for were left out, but that's just me being picky! For all the longer it was actually displayed, it was fine! We paid a pretty penny for the cake and had a TON left over. I'm talking the entire bottom and 1/2 the middle layer. Maybe people just didn't eat it, but maybe they wanted to charge us more, so they told us we needed a bigger cake. I guess we'll never know! I still would recommend them just because it was so dang yummy!

he best part... the cake tasting! My fiance and I had SO MUCH CAKE and it was all so delicious! Working with Courtney and Kayla was a great experience and I would recommend anyone to use Oakmont Bakery (whether it's for cakes, cookies or even sandwiches) - hands down!

and one 1/2 sheet cake. All three cakes were chocolate torte. We ordered the items a week ahead of time for pick up and kept them stored in our fridge for the wedding. Oakmont Bakery had everything ready right on time and the cake itself was a huge hit with the guests. Our caterer arrived about an hour and a half late, so we reversed things and served the cake immediately after the ceremony. Hands down, the cake was the highlight of the menu. I would definitely recommend Oakmont Bakery.

The customer service at Oakmont is OK - not great but not bad. They are just very busy and I almost felt rushed when we met with them. They need to either hire more people to help their wedding cake staff or they need to slow down with each customer. I had to call multiple times to check up on the details about the cake and to confirm things. This is fine but for how much we paid for the cake I feel like the vendor should have been doing this. When the cake arrived the day of the wedding it was stunning and so worth it - just do not expect excellent customer service from Oakmont.
