She promptly brought out golf carts for us. Throughout the entire wedding planning process Katelyn was accommodating, quick to respond to emails and friendly. We absolutely recommend Oakwood!

The food is amazing and they are happy to accommodate allergies or specific food requests. If you are tempted at all - take a tour with Katelyn and I promise it will be worth it! P.S. - Their wedding cake is hands-down the best in the city. It was the talking point for guests the entire evening!

We were able to set up tastings to sample the dinner options. The food is amazing! Our guests raved about it. We worked very closely with Katelyn Lawson who is the wedding coordinator there. She was super helpful and easy to work with. Katelyn went above and beyond helping me prepare for the day of. She was always able to meet last minute and she gave me great advice as to what would work well in the space. She took care of setting up, cutting the cake, and cleaning up for us so we could enjoy our party. The next day we simply stopped by and picked up a couple prepacked boxes and that was that. We were also able to use the club's golf carts to go out onto the golf course and take pictures. The course has wonderfully tall trees, a hidden lake, and even some fountains in the back. Oakwood really is the total package and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality reception hall.

re told that she had a family emergency and that they didn't know we were coming. Someone did show us around but it would have been nice if someone would have contacted us to let us know and there should have been better communication. The place also was old, dirty and smelled inside.

From creating the edible centerpieces we wanted for appetizers to helping serve our grandparents food from the buffet the staff at Oakwood helped make a very long day flow very smoothly. They ensured our families had everything they needed throughout a very long day. Everyone loved the setting and architectural details on the inside. We did a buffet dinner and everyone raved about the food. The food was excellent. I highly recommend the chicken piccata. We really couldn't have asked for anything more from the staff. As a Bride my day was 100% stress free because I knew Dedra and her staff had things under control.

e floor and although the dining space was cramped for the size of our guest list (250), the atmosphere was worthwhile. Some planning aspects were a little unorganized to my standards, but everything worked out in the end. The night of the reception, there was a few communication issues between the serving staff and the DJ, especially pertaining to when certain events were taking place, but the staff was very accommodating anytime we brought up a concern or question. We did a dinner buffet and the food was delicious!

s my oldest daughter, so my first wedding one of my children. The staff was amazing. My daughter has not stopped smiling since the minute the bride and groom arrived at the reception. Her beautiful smile validates how amazing her reception was. We couldn’t have pulled it off without Dedra and her great staff.

or us. The days leading up to my wedding, I know my Mother and wedding planner did have a few issues with the event coordinator of the country club, but the day of my event was wonderful. The catering director and his assistant were so accomedating and wonderful to myself, my husband and all our family/guests!!! THE FOOD WAS THE BEST MEAL I'VE EVER HAD!!!! Seriously. I have guests a month later still complimenting how great the meal was! The bar staff was both friendly and fun. Overall my score would be a perfect five stars if my mother and wedding planner had been happier with their experience. I really think Oakwood is a hidden gem :)
