the first time. Our very first meeting was actually an online session, going over our general concept and ideas for wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Although Occasions specializes in Indian ceremonies, they understood all concepts of our Christian ceremony and assured us they had done many in the past. Everything we discussed during our first web conference was reflected back during our first in-person meeting, and we immediately knew that Remmal understood our vision and our concepts PERFECTLY. Any time we got nervous about planning our wedding from out of state, had updates/changes to décor, or just any random question, our emails were always quickly answered. In addition, we were always able to meet with Remmal anytime we were in town to go over floral concepts, etc. It really helped put our mind at ease, and my groom and I always felt we were on the same wavelength with our modern décor concepts. Remmal's sister Rena was actually in charge of our floral and décor for the day of our event. We had met up with her to go over all details one last time the week before our wedding, and were consistently impressed with how detailed and on-point she was with our plans. We even got to get a sneak peak at our floral, since it had just flown in! Now for the day of the event, all I can say is WOW. Everything was simply perfect...exactly what we had envisioned. Everything from our bouquets and boutonierres to the centerpieces was gorgeous. When we first walked into our reception ballroom, it literally took our breath away. A month later, guests are still saying that it is the most beautiful wedding that they had ever seen, and found everything so modern and elegant. Being crafty and wanting to add my own personal touches, I wanted to have many of my items from my Etsy shop, Bela Noiva, incorporated into the décor. Rena had no issue setting up my mercury glasses, card box, signs, etc. into the Occasions décor to add my won personal touch. It really meant a lot to me that they included my DIY projects with their own style. Everyone we encountered at Occasions by Shangri-La was so unbelievably kind, gracious, professional, and talented. Planning a Florida wedding from New York seemed easy once we put all of our décor and floral into Remmal and Rena's hands, and they were so accommodating to set up meetings with us every time we were in town. Booking Occasions was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. It was like they took the vision of our special day from my mind, and executed it into reality.
