attentive and answered all of our emails/questions quickly and made the planning process enjoyable. The night before our wedding day, we had our rehearsal dinner at the Carriage House. The room was set up beautifully and the food was delicious! We then had a bonfire on the beach as a welcome party for guests and had the most amazing time! They set up a beer/wine bar and s'mores. It was a great way to welcome everyone to the Cape. All of the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating.. The day of the wedding, my bridesmaids and I got ready in the bridal suite in the mansion. It is a beautiful room with a balcony looking over the terrace. We hired the Beach House Spa at Ocean Edge to do our hair and makeup and they did a phenomenal job. We were all so pleased with their work! Ana and Rita checked in with us throughout the day and radiated positive energy. We had our ceremony on the front lawn, cocktail hour on the ocean terrace, and our reception in the ballroom. Everything was beautiful. The front lawn with the new pavilion is gorgeous (and since we chose the lawn, our dog got to be a part of the ceremony!) The terrace for cocktail hour has the most amazing views of the ocean. The hors d'oeuvres and raw bar were delicious, especially the lobster mac and cheese bites! The ballroom was set up beautifully and has views of the ocean from the windows. Katherine was extremely helpful the night of our rehearsal dinner and wedding. She made sure our evening was perfect. At the end of the night as we got back to our hotel room on the mansion side (which was beautiful), a bottle of Ocean Edge champagne, two flutes filled with blueberries, and a thank you card awaited us. We can't thank Rita, Ana, and all of the staff at Ocean Edge enough for making our wedding weekend so special. Our vision was to provide a fun experience for our guests and our guests are still raving about our wedding weekend! We would highly recommend getting married at Ocean Edge.

l, intimate reception with 12 guests in one of the smaller rooms in the Mansion. It was the most beautiful setup we could’ve imagined, and we had an incredible view of the ocean from the terrace. Even though we did not have the typical wedding, they made sure that everything was exactly what we wanted. The food was amazing, and the service was perfect. We were not able to do a tasting in advance, but everything we chose was delicious. I cannot say enough great things about our day. We felt like we were in a dream, because everything was so perfect and effortless.

just one month. I really was just expecting to have a wedding at a beach, but she made it perfect! I could not have asked for a better setup or more attentive staff. They arranged for the ceremony to be on the sandbar at low tide, so no one was around. They made sure every detail was thought about because honestly I had no idea. It was the greatest thing to not have to worry about anything on my special day. I can not recommend them enough!

a typical occurrence at Ocean Edge. My only criticism is with the villages at Ocean Edge. The rooms were not ready upon check-in for guests, and the shuttle to bring guests to/from the mansion was delayed. But other than that, it was a perfect fall wedding!

Cape Cod. Dinner in the ballroom was delicious, the waitstaff and bartenders were so friendly and professional, they really added to our celebration and we appreciated that! We were a little worried Pam wouldn't be as thorough since she didn't know all the details of our wedding but as it turns out we had nothing to worry about! Pam did a great job of communicating with us via email and phone. She was easy to work with and made sure everything went according to plan on our wedding day. Everyone involved in the planning process was impressed with Pam! I also got ready at the Ocean Edge Spa on my wedding day with my bridesmaids which I highly recommend! We opted for the "Porch Party." It was so nice to just show up and have a nice large room, a little lunch, and some wine available to us. They even provided a shuttle over to the Mansion when we were ready. Several people had warned me that Ocean Edge has several weddings on weekends and that we might get overlooked. I always felt like our wedding was a priority. I also highly recommend attending the Prelude Wedding Weekend Ocean Edge hosts in February. This was such a fun event and gave us a chance to meet with almost all our vendors at one time. Overall it was a fantastic wedding!

Several of them came up to us afterward to comment on how much they enjoyed the food (lobster and seafood buffets especially), the atmosphere, and their overall experience, and how the weekend felt like a relaxing beach vacation for them. Since we didn't use a wedding planner, we couldn't have pulled the event off without the top-notch assistance of Kaylin as our Catering Manager - we found her to be responsive, organized, experienced, and thoughtful with great attention to detail. She helped guide us through the months-long marathon planning process, and on the day of our wedding she helped run the show and took care of the little details (everything from folding napkins to lining us up for the ceremony) allowing us to focus on enjoying our special day. If you're thinking of having a beach wedding on the Cape I can't recommend Ocean Edge highly enough, not only for the beauty of the property itself but for the excellent food, staff, and service!

Our guests had a fun time and couldn't say enough about the location of OE! They also upgraded my grandparents to a mansion room for free which we were so appreciative of! The food was great, service was great, truly a flawless, magical day! We had our rehearsal at OE, then the ceremony on the front lawn, the reception in the ballroom, an after party at Bayzos pub and a brunch the next day. Very convenient to have the entire weekend on property for us and our guests. We wanted a destination wedding vibe and feel like we got that with OE! Thank you to all the Ocean Edge staff that gave us the PERFECT wedding and to Chase for being amazing and dealing with all my questions up until the morning of my wedding! We cant wait to go back and visit OE as a married couple :)

Aside from all the food and beauty however I was lucky enough to work with Nicole and she was fabulous from start to finish! She was always responsive to all my emails, met with me in person to relieve my anxiety and answer last minute questions, gave me ideas to help make my day flow and look beautiful, and was always calm, smiling and happy which made the whole process so much easier! She even saved food for my sister during our cocktail hour so she wouldn’t miss it. I couldn’t have asked for a better coordinator and am so grateful to have had her. I had the best day of my life at Ocean Edge and would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful Cape Cod wedding with a wonderful staff.

Our guest were blow away by the food and beauty of the place. The staff was personable and catered to our every need. We had stations not a plated meal... do this the guests loved the choices and ability to get seconds! Nicole G was wonderful and helped us from day one- always there to answer any questions and reply quickly

Over the year or so of planning, we were assigned three different coordinators due to staff turnover which was concerning especially a month and a half out from the wedding, but we found all of our coordinators to be incredibly accommodating, responsive, and organized. Our final coordinator, Kaylin Gilmore, was fantastic, detail-oriented, did an amazing job setting the wedding up to match our vision and kept the day running smoothly. We heard from several of our guests that they loved staying on the property, taking advantage of the pool and beach, and how beautiful Ocean Edge was. We couldn't have asked for a better day!

The food at the venue was incredible, our guests raves about it for weeks after! The servers were equally as wonderful and the way that Chase and his team set up the room completely matched our vision and made our dream a reality. I can not say enough good things about Ocean Egde and Chase and we would highly recommend having your wedding here! Our guests loved that they could stay right on the property and were provided with the shuttle service and restaurants, pools and beach. It was a perfect Cape Cod weekend!

The wedding planner made it obvious they would not accommodate for a rain plan, and if it rained you were S.O.L. because once they set the flowers and decorations up, they would not move them for you anywhere else. So the flowers and beautiful orchid archway were set up on the beach and destroyed by the rain. The ceremony took place in a plain conference room with not one decoration and a folding card table in the background of every ceremony picture we have. Then, the cocktail hour was in the lobby of the hotel, where hotel guests were free to tramp in and out with their muddy shoes and eat the cocktail hour food, since they had no idea it was even a wedding - the hotel didn't make the cocktail hour private or obvious to wedding guests what was going on so they thought it was free food. also, have the food was outside in the rain so if you wanted it you had to go outside into the wind and rain Then, the late night snack food (pizza) that the bride and groom had paid for as part of the meal for their guests was brought to the floor above the reception and set up by the Ocean's Edge right in front of their bar for hotel guests. the hotel guests proceeded to eat our pizza and the attendant at the pizza station didn't even stop them. So far it seems like they were more concerned with feeding their hotel guests our food than feeding it to the actual wedding guests. Then, after the reception was over, the bride and groom were staying on the resort and the bride's car was caught in 4 feet! of flash flooded water on the Ocean's Edge property because they don't have hardly any drains in the parking lot to accommodate hard rain. The bride was awoken to the sounds of cars going off, saw her car totaled out with rain, went to the front desk of Ocean's Edge and they had a list their of all the cars that were flooded, but make no effort to contact any of the owners of the cars as they were flooding. They admitted that they knew that area had started to flood. The stated that they were not liable at all for the cars that were totaled. Also, on the night of rehearsal dinner, the bride and groom paid to have a bonfire with s'mores on the beach for the rehearsal dinner party. they were told this would be a special occasion they would not otherwise get to experience so they paid for it. 20 feet away from our bonfire was the complementary bonfire with smores for all hotel guests. I am so disappointed with this place. They are not accommodating and can't think on their feet. The bride cried so much that night and they weren't tears of joy. I would never go back to this place. Take your business elsewhere, where they know how to put on a wedding and will go out of their way to make your day special. That is not this place.

The old mansion lends itself beautifully for a winter wedding, with the dark wood and spacious layout. Not to mention we could have our guests stay on the mansion side, making everything very convenient. The bad weather didn't even matter because everything was under one roof. We had an onsite ceremony, cocktail hour in the beautiful mansion lobby (comfortably fit our 175 guests), and reception in the ballroom. Even the informal after-party at Bayzos was just upstairs. Our guests had wonderful feedback on their Ocean Edge experience, staff, and beautiful rooms. Our coordinator Dina was exceptional, working with us in (extensive) detail through every step. She was communicative, helpful, direct, supportive, and simply a pleasure. We can not say enough positive remarks about our wedding-planning process at Ocean Edge, and encourage everyone to consider a winter wedding there too.

ly we had to go to our backup plan, which was to have the ceremony in the ballroom, cocktail hour in the lobby right outside the ballroom on 2 levels, and then the reception back in the ballroom. So many of the previous reviews on the Knot are accurate – the main selling point of this venue is that it is absolutely gorgeous. There are so many beautiful options for ceremony and reception locations, and you can make selections that fit within your budget. Even with all of the rain we were able to fully utilize the beautiful interior of the mansion to take some really cool photos. However, the turnover among the catering managers/coordinators is scary. I was not assigned a coordinator until a few months before the wedding – I think this was due to previous complaints about being assigned one coordinator, then that person quit and then the new person didn’t have all of the couple’s details and things got lost. In response to these reviews, I went out and hired an outside planner which ended up being the best thing I ever did. She alleviated so much stress and in the last couple of weeks leading up to the wedding handled the coordination with Ocean Edge so I did not have to worry at all. However, I will say that when I was ultimately assigned a coordinator, Courtney, she was just great. Very responsive to my emails and she was on site and available for the entire day of my wedding, start to finish, and I know that she worked very hard to ensure that everything went smoothly. So I am giving OE 5 stars because it ended up being a wonderful day and despite the weather, I really feel that the staff at Ocean Edge really went the extra mile to make my wedding the best that it could be. Oh and the food is just phenomenal – the raw bar is a no brainer, the pieces of filet mignon were huge and cooked perfectly, and I’m told the cheese bar was amazing, though I didn’t get to see it myself! Wish we could do it all over again.

t cold. The grounds at Ocean Edge are beautiful and very well maintained but I felt sometimes the venue was inflexible when working with us on some of our requests. The bakery that contracted with Ocean Edge to create our wedding cake also made us some custom cookies to serve at our rehearsal dinner. Somehow they became lost once delivered to Ocean Edge and the resort was unwilling to work with us on reimbursement for the cost even though it was one of their staff that accepted the delivery and dropped the ball. I got the impression that they were less likely to provide good customer service once they already had my money in hand

DELICIOUS and there is a LOT OF IT! Overall we had an awesome experience with Courtney as our wedding planner, she is an angel and a saint, we owe her so much. She was super responsive and thought of all the things we hadn't thought of, and because of her the day went off without a single hitch! One star is deducted because of our initial experience. We were initially assigned Stacey Bianchi, who was literally impossible to reach once we had booked the venue. By phone or by email, it would literally be a month at a time where she would be entirely incommunicado. We were getting really nervous. Then we were assigned to Ray, and got one email from him before he was apparently not working there anymore??? Whatever. As soon as we were put in touch with Courtney in February (for a September wedding) everything went smoothly. Bless you Courtney!!

Erica Petralia was our wedding planner, and she was such a joy to work with! She would always answer my questions and take time to explain what the different options are. We had amazing time!!!

tion – my grandmother lived down the street. I didn’t like the look/feel of the Carriage House but dreamt of being married on the front lawn. I only signed the contract because I was told that the Carriage House would be completely remodeled to look like their new hotel rooms, which are very nice and modern. I only learned that the CH was NOT remodeled because I asked to see the room THE NIGHT BEFORE my wedding. No one gave us a heads up. They let us walk in and be blind-sided by the fact this did not happen. After we complained, they comped one hotel room, which was ridiculous and should have been comped form the beginning since our 100+ guests were already staying there and brining $60K+ to the hotel. The day of my actual wedding only got worse. Here’s the run down: 1. Another bride was siting on the front steps as my guests arrived. They need to spread out ceremonies appropriately. 2. My ceremony was rain delayed by 20 mins so they cut my cocktail hour 20 mins short to make sure the reception started on time. This made me miss my entire cocktail hour. I asked that they keep the open bar open (since I PAID for these 20 mins) after the reception ended and they agreed to it but never announced it so no one stayed and we lost that time/money. 3. During dinner, they DUCT TAPPED the dance floor together. Like actually black tape to hold the unsafe floor together. I looked up during our meal and could not believe my eyes. I feel like I still have PTSD from the noise of them taping and the shock on my guests faces. It also ruined all our pictures inside since you can see the black grid on the floor. Hideous. 4. My only request during my wedding planning (I was not a bridezilla at all) was to have milk and cake waiting for us in our room. They did this and charged me $14. As if my wedding didn’t cost enough already. It has taken me 2 years to write this review because I have been too upset. I thought it would go away and I could go back and visit and the happy fuzzy feeling of revising my wedding venue would take over but nope. I went back a year after and they wouldn’t even let us down to the beach to take a picture for our 1 yr anniversary. We asked the woman managing weddings (someone new and oblivious of how much everyone will hate her) if the Carriage House was ever remodeled and she looked at me like I was crazy, pulled over someone who worked there for 5 yrs and asked them and they said there was never any plans to remodel it. The old bait and switch. If I could go back in time and re do my wedding day I would 100% do it somewhere else. DON’T GET MARRIED HERE.

ur wedding coordinator. About a month before the wedding they changed our coordinator and the new one was very unorganized and seemed as though she had never done this before. Some examples of things that went wrong, I had left pens for the guest book to be signed and they never got put out so I spent $400 on a custom wood guest book for half of it to get filled before the ink ran out of the 2 pens she put out, They took our dinner and cake away before we even got to finish and my husband and Inhad requested a special flavor for ours but we got chocolate and I do not like chocolate, in the middle of dancing I had to manually go control the lights and dim them because she was so where to be found, all of my bridal party came out in the wrong order during the ceremony and my mother in law and brother in law had to walk out dog (the flower girl) when a groomsman was suppose to do it. Although these may seem small, when there are so many small things that go wrong they add up AND when you are paying thousands of dollars to not have to worry about little things so you can enjoy the best day of your life it puts a damper on it when you are chasing people around. If they hired new coordinators or you get to work with Amanda you will be good to go.

ally found our venue, but as soon as we signed the contract, the story changed. Everything we were initially promised no longer held true. We were given SIX different wedding coordinators throughout the process (not because we were difficult to work with :) but because their coordinators continued leaving and/or getting fired. Each time we had a new coordinator, we had to start from the beginning. Every experience for our guess from booking rooms through check in and check out was messed up in some way, they were absolutely horrible to deal with. I have told ALL of my friends who are looking to get married that Ocean Edge is NOT the place they should do it. It's too bad, because it's a beautiful venue, but the level of service you get is abysmal. we loved every single one of our vendors we worked with, wrote stellar reviews for all of them, this place was the ONLY thing about our wedding we didnt' enjoy. And it's a big part. Honestly, it is not worth the stress of dealing with these incompetent people.

ss a step - to the servers that catered to our every request - to the bartender Anastas who took care of us from the rehearsal throughout the wedding night - even the adorable housekeepers who decorated our room going out of their way to make our day special. Even though we were married at Ocean Edge over 6 months ago, we still have family raving about the food. If I was to have but one regret, it would be that I wish I had taken less time with pics "capturing the moment" and more time enjoying myself dancing and catching up with friends. Seize the moment -those memories last longer than the pictures we have yet to look at! Ocean Edge will always have a special place in our hearts and we are forever grateful for everyone who helped make our day simply amazing.

rience and the loving people that took part in my wedding. SO why do I give Ocean Edge a 1 star? It all comes down to Sales, planning, and customer service from the event coordination staff. Working in the events industry myself with high volume in the summer, with customers both domestic and international, I understand that clear, concise, on-time communication is extremely important to ensure a smooth customer experience. This is the exact opposite of what Ocean Edge offers. They have a great presentation of the package and the grounds, and are quick to put an agreement in front of you. They are also quick to send invoices to you when money is due, as any business would (Ocean Edge does this without shame, having provided no service up until that point) . What they completely lack in is in the customer service leading up to the event, and one person in particular, Stancy Bianchi, is one, if not the main actor in providing such poor service. As others have noted and I agree, once that contract is signed and you begin working with Stacy, everything goes quiet. Emails go unanswered for weeks. Attachments with clear instructions are ignored. Detailed seating charts which are sent over are not accurate when you arrive the day of to inspect the layout. Simple questions are not answered. Hotel reservations were not prepared night of. The information for the cake vendor which comes with their package is not even communicated to you, and you have to hunt down the vendor yourself. Even the tables are not placed in the location that was discussed and confirmed with Stacy and the staff. This had to be changed last minute, and if we had a larger party, it would have been a disaster. I was shocked to see such poor communication and service leading up to an event - embarrassingly poor and unprofessional. As others have said, this leads to great anxiety for those organizing, with uncertainty about whether or not the day would go smoothly. I highly recommend that if you happen to encounter Stacy or are assigned to work with her - you need to rethink your venue or be prepared for stress and headaches. It is a shame that such a beautiful place can have such a low standard for professionalism, but that seems to be the case with certain staff at Ocean Edge. I will again reiterate that the wait staff and bartender were superb - professional and kind and only added to the atmosphere of the wedding.

drinks were fabulous, guests said they were full from cocktail hour even before dinner service started. The staff also made sure that we were able to eat our dinner. The staff did everything they could to try and host our cocktail hour on the terrace despite the weather. The wind and rain made it a hazard to be on the terrace. The staff was able to quickly make the move to have our cocktail inside at the last minute. We couldn't have asked for a better day and owe it all to the staff at OE!

appy to report that I was not disappointed! Our initial meeting took place in June, and after a tour of the venue and lunch on the Terrace we were ready to sign on. Things were quiet through the fall, so we were pleased to be invited to a tasting in February which was a fabulous event. The food was great and it was helpful to see how things would run the day of the event. When our event was assigned to Stacy Bianchi we met with her to discuss the details. It was clear that her experience with the venue was invaluable and that she was determined to make sure things went off without a hitch. Despite the busy schedule Stacy had been upholding she showed up bright and early the morning of our wedding ready to attend to our needs. My bridesmaids and I prepared in the Captain Bowen Room, which had an amazing balcony and view-making it perfect for pictures ahead of the ceremony! I didn’t have time to check the Carriage House (the site for our reception) before we left for the church, but when we arrived for the reception everything was set up just as we had wanted. The event ran smoothly from the cocktail hour to the last dance. The food was delicious and the service was smooth and timely. The staff also stuck around after the event to clean up and to help take loads of items to our car. Stacy Bianchi was very present throughout the event. She even brought me a drink as soon as I arrived and stepped in to fix my bustle a few times-which I really appreciated! We were very pleased with how Ocean Edge handled our event (despite some staffing changes), and are appreciative of everything that was done to ensure the day was pleasant for us and our guests. Since the wedding we’ve continued to enjoy Ocean Edge as regulars at both the Ocean Terrace and the Bayzo Pub, and feel-welcomed at-and-connected to-the venue now. I would highly recommend Ocean Edge for your special day!

the dining room along with the other wedding planner we hired. We faced a lot of frustrations, however, dealing with Ocean Edge leading up to the day of our wedding. Our wedding coordinator was changed three times due to staff turnover. Fortunately, we had been warned about the likelihood of staff turnover by reading other reviews on The Knot, so we hired another wedding planner from outside of Ocean Edge. If we hadn't done so, Ocean Edge's disorganization would have been much more frustrating. Ocean Edge has a high volume of weddings, so we were not able to get the kind of personal attention that we wanted from our reception venue. Our phone calls and emails frequently went unanswered or just received one line responses. Stacy did make an effort to compensate us for our frustrations, however, by offering us a complimentary dinner for four at their restaurant. Ocean Edge is a beautiful venue and we were ultimately very happy with our wedding reception, but we would like to forewarn other couples of the frustrations you are likely to face in working with this venue. Our best advice if you choose Ocean Edge is to hire an outside wedding planner to help coordinate the reception.

ons. We held our reception in the Captain Lawrence room and terrace. The space was perfect for our small wedding. On our wedding day, Sean Moesman was our "general manager" - basically coordinating all of the logistics and making sure we were happy. He was AMAZING! We had some unique requirements (e.g. handicap accessibility for a guest, setting up our own speaker system). He did an outstanding job of managing the event and his staff, communicating with us during the reception in the event our input was required, and took control of the evening in a way that exceeded expectations. Also, the food was delicious and our guests were very pleased! We had the raw bar appetizer station, plated crab cake, roasted chicken, and beef tenderloin - all were very good! And to top it off, we came back to our hotel room on the wedding night to a bottle of champagne and strawberries from Ocean Edge! Other than a couple hiccups during the event (e.g. the bar wasn't stocked with a specific wine - which the bartender later procured!), everything was very smooth! Also, we held a brunch the next day at the Linx Pavilion, which was perfect! The food was great and the space was bright and casual. I'd definitely recommend Ocean Edge to other couples looking for a beautiful venue with delicious food, great staff, and wonderful amenities!

3 weddings (including ours) took place. The only ONE time I saw the other bride was at sunset (with their photographer) they were trying to capture the AMAZING sunset! Believe me, I didn't mind seeing other wedding parties - let's celebrate! We had our reception in the bay pines pavilion, which is basically a permanent tent, with a carpet inside, it's the closest to the beach and very private and tucked away from the rest of the resort. We had cocktail hour out on the Ocean Terrace and it was spectacular! (Must do the raw bar! huge hit!) Guests raved about the appetizers and views of the ocean. We were assigned Dina Maligno as our venue coordinator for our wedding reception. I as many brides I'm sure, had a million questions for Dina 12 months too soon! Dina is very knowledgeable and is there to work with you. DAY OF: Dina went above and beyond. I had a little panic moment the night before on how I would exactly get ready, and set up the tent. She swooped into the bridal lounge we were in, took all the stuff down to the tent and her and her team assembled the tent. She greeted us when we came back from the ceremony and had a little area set up for us so we could re-group and even grabbed us some beverages. Once we joined the guests for the end of cocktail hour, the staff made sure myself and my bridal party ate some food, which was really great! She was with us right up until dinner and then Lucas took over for the remainder of the night and was also very helpful with any questions we had. We did originally have a beach fire set up, but due to Hermine rolling in later, they gave us the option to cancel - we opted as it was quite windy. Dinner was also amazing - we opted for the stations, clam chowder was a huge hit! I've seen reviews complain of hidden fees, quiet honestly - we never had this issue, we also thoroughly looked over our contract and asked questions often!

Ray did not even seem to care about my wedding, and took weeks to reply to my email messages and phone calls. When I heard that he was leaving Ocean Edge, I was relieved and excited that Stacy would be taking over his position. Stacy really disappointed me. Not only did she not communicate with my now mother-in-law regarding the rehearsal dinner, but she also completely lost emails with important information such as electrical requirements. She did not know anything about the table settings, and refused to be helpful to me and my mother-in-law weeks leading up to the wedding. She did not return phone calls or emails, and she was constantly late to every meeting we had scheduled. In short, Stacy completely stressed me out before our wedding. Good thing we had a great wedding planner. The service from the staff at the resort was pleasant and friendly. However, we dropped off many welcome bags for our VIP guests, which were all delivered late - sometimes 24 hours after our guests had already checked in. If Ocean Edge had better catering managers who actually cared about your customers instead of just charging us very high rates for third-tier service, I would have written a better review. All Stacy cared about was getting the contract signed. She didn't understand the table settings, she didn't know our timeline, and she seemed annoyed with me because I asked her simple questions she couldn't answer. She said she had many other weddings to attend to, and I certainly felt that her service could be improved. I would not recommend this venue to any of my engaged friends.

I'm so glad we didn't pursue this venue and (god forbid) sign a contract. If you are looking for a venue that is equally beautiful and professional, this is NOT the place. Don't bother with Stacy Bianchi and Ocean Edge, they'll never get back to you.

, and professional. The resort rooms were beautiful. The director of sales, Bryan, is aware of the following issues: 1. Prior to us signing the contact, sales manager Stacy Bianchi was prompt in her response, warm in her demeanor, and agreeable to our requests. After signing the contract, she became cold, hostile, and inaccessible. In order to resolve contract issues, I contacted Stacy several times. Six weeks went by before I was finally able to speak with Stacy. For a woman who was once incredibly responsive, she essentially disappeared. After my 6th attempt at contacting Stacy, I emailed her wondering if she still actually worked for OE. She eventually emailed me back and blamed “the snowstorms” for her lack of communication. It is concerning that a woman who has proved that she receives emails to her cell phone is unable to respond to emails because of a snowstorm. It was at this point that I realized that Stacy essentially told us what we wanted to hear in order to sign the contract. 2. We had 3 wedding planners in a 1 year span. They have a very high turnover rate. Stacy transitioned roles into wedding coordinator. It was alarming that OE allowed someone in one particular role to transform into another role so quickly. 3. My family and wedding party felt as though Stacy was incredibly rude and unapproachable. She was unfriendly to my family and friends throughout the whole wedding weekend. 4. Stacy advised us that she would get us to cut our wedding cake. She never did and we unfortunately were not able to cut our cake before they brought it in the back and cut it up. On the day of my wedding, I specifically said to her that I did not want to have to be in charge of remembering these small details and she assured me that she would be on top of everything. Clearly she wasn’t. This alone supports my concern that she was not properly prepared in her role as a wedding coordinator. 5. The day after the wedding, I went back to the mansion to collect our decorations. I saw Stacy in a meeting with a prospective couple. She never even made eye contact or acknowledged me when she saw me. She passed by my family twice in the ballroom with the prospective couple and didn’t even attempt to acknowledge us. I asked her if she was able to locate our cake cutter and she said “I saw it somewhere.” We eventually found it under a table. Everyone was dumbfounded that she acted like that in front of a prospective couple! I’m not sure why she works in the wedding business because it was clear she did not want to be there. OE should be sincerely embarrassed by her behavior and by her representation of the resort. She made several comments about how her job is “so stressful” and how “it’s way harder than it looks”. As a professional myself, I can relate to her on what it feels like to be stressed in the work setting.A suggestion would be to hire more staff in order to relieve Stacy of her many roles and responsibilities, as she seems overworked (based on her statements and her lack of communication). Ocean Edge is truly a beautiful resort to host your wedding. I wish I could turn back time and request another sales manager/wedding coordinator. I imagine my experience would have been so different

Reception was in the Mansion Ballroom and was so beautiful. This was my dream venue and wouldn't have done it any other way. We had a great gatsby wedding and this was the perfect venue for us. The food was a amazing and creative. We picked the swordfish and roasted chicken for our meal, but the menu for cocktail hour and dinner was nothing like I had ever had at a wedding! They executed the entire event extremely well. I worked with Dina Maligno, she was fantastic and I highly recommend her. The reservation department is a little difficult to deal with

care of our parents and siblings. The property is breathtaking and the food is delicious.

Dina our coordinator did a great job helping us with basically anything we needed, she really was awesome! Overall service was great, they were very accommodating, and it was a beautiful day so the venue was even more amazing.

Once I said I like the proposal and I just had a few questions about logistics, there was no response. Three weeks later and still no response or apology. We've taken our business elsewhere to a venue that is much more professional, despite the higher cost. I also spoke with a bride at dinner that night who was complaining about a lot of hidden fees. Just be aware that you will not have great service here.

The chefs at Ocean Edge really know what they are doing and impressed not only my husband and I but our guests as well. All the food came out hot and melt in your mouth delicious. Ocean Edge is very accommodating, we wanted 3 entrees with dinner and Ocean Edge let us have three. Everyone loved the food, and as a bride and groom, that is so important, you hear so many horror stories from wedding, the food was cold, came out late, etc. You won't find that OE, not only is the food hot and timely, it comes out looking like a piece of art, it is almost too pretty to eat!! Thank you so much for the head chef and their staff, for a truly top notch job, every single person loved their food and said how great it was. We even have guest that have never been to Ocean Edge before that are coming back for a vacation or weekend getaway because they were so impressed by the rooms, and the food there and of course the GORGEOUS scenery. You feel like you are somewhere out of the country when you are at Ocean Edge, truly such a magical place. But the person who truly stands out at Ocean Edge is Amanda Hennessey. She is a true god sent. Amanda, was our wedding coordinator and she was PHENOMENAL. She is professional, smart, takes control, and just flawless. Our wedding went seamlessly smooth all because it was under her control. Words can not express how thankful we are for Amanda. She made me feel like I was her only bride, she always replied to all my emails same day, even if it was just a quick, "I will look into this for you and get back ASAP" Her and Rita Kyriakides have impeccable email etiquette, I live 2 hours away from Ocean Edge so 97% of the correspondence was via email and they both made me feel like I was their only bride getting right back to me immediately at all times, even when they had their out of office on! Amanda was always patient with me, and reasonable, even when I may have had a "bridezilla" moment or two as embarrassing as that is, I will admit it. Amanda, was fantastic. My husband and I already booked a long weekend getaway back to Ocean Edge and we will ask for Amanda and Rita, just so we can say hello to them, as they made such lovely impacts on our wedding planning, and we are forever grateful.

From the moment we went to Ocean Edge, they made everything easy. We rented the upstairs of the mansion for our guests for what we considered a very reasonable rate and the spaces worked out perfectly. We used one room as a bridal lounge, one as a ceremony and dance space, one as a dining room, and the terrace as a cocktail hour. Our guests had freedom to move around the spaces as they wished, all connected by their lovely terrace. We were thrilled that such a grand and impressive location would be perfect for the needs of our very small wedding. In addition to the perfect space for our wedding, the service exceeded all expectations. My husband and I had booked the corner mansion suite for only two nights, booking a regular mansion room for the first night we checked in. The resort upgraded us to stay in their amazing corner mansion suite for all three night. The suite was amazing, the perfect place to relax for the weekend. Additionally, the resort gave us a turn down service in the afternoon, leaving water and treats every day. My husband used the suite to get ready the morning of providing a perfect space for him and his groomsmen before the wedding. The wedding went off without a hitch. Rita Kyriakides was our wedding coordinator who took care of every request, from setting up the reception spaces exactly to our specifications to making sure that my husband’s favorite rye whiskey was represented in our premium open bar. We ordered the raw bar as one of our cocktail choices and our guests could not finish it as much as we tried! As soon as we thought the lobster, or shrimp, or oysters were running low, someone would come over and fill it with a heaping pile. The food and service during the dinner was absolutely amazing. The service even continued to the brunch the next day where our flowers and candy bar were used without our request as décor for the room. Our guests continuously commented on the exceptional service and many whom just got married commented on how surprised they were by how stress free and easy everything was. Other acts of exceptional service include but are not limited to: filling our room with champagne, roses, strawberries and chocolates the night of our wedding, the Pilates instructor sending my mother and myself bath salts to our room along with a card after taking her class at the fitness center, and the manager at Ocean Terrace coming over to our table with blankets as we enjoyed a late night cocktail. All in all, while this is a 4-star resort, you will undoubtedly receive 5-star service when you are here. Whether you are a guest, or hosting a wedding of any size, they make sure you feel so special and cater to needs you didn’t even know you have. I will not stay anywhere else on the Cape and could not imagine ever having my wedding at another location.

Phone calls and emails never returned, so many issues with room blocks for guest, hidden cost being put in and not explained- so make sure you look over every single bill, we sure did. The day of our wedding, we were told we had to get off the front lawn while taking pictures under the beautiful tree, the whole reason we booked this. And their reasoning was they had a rehearsal to do at 5pm, meanwhile it was 4:43pm, its our freakin wedding day and I had the ceremony time booked till 5pm. During the cocktail hour, which we missed for pictures, they did not save us any food. No plates were made for us to try anything, nothing! During the reception, the lights were left on high almost the whole night until one of my guest asked for them to be turned down to set the mood for dancing and the response she got from the manager was no and then he proceeded to argue with her! Crazy and mind blowing to me! Not to mention that we had paid for up lighting and drapes for the room thru oceans edge and you never got the full effect because they left the lights on. We were constantly hounded to sit down and eat each course and told we were holding up the next course being served. The wedding cake was cut and served and placed at our table for 10 minutes along with all the other desserts we had and then taken away. We never got to eat it or any of the desserts we paid for and nothing was saved in a to go box for us. Apparently they're policy is they don't save food, but they won't tell you this until its too late and the food is gone. Our wedding coordinator left at 845pm, the wedding was over at 11pm. So no one to speak with about any issues until the next day. And the icing on the cake was when the wedding was all over, NO ONE HELPED CLEAN UP OUR STUFF. We were left in our dress and suit to clean up all of the things we had for our wedding as the staff just by passed by and rushed to clean up and get out. Real professional and very disappointing. The band offered to help us get our stuff together because they were watching us struggle with things. Oh and they threw away our wedding dress bag and bridal tank top from the bridal suite. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND OCEAN EDGE TO ANYONE. Seriously reconsider! Definitely not worth the money we spent and very upsetting.

made sure everything went perfectly on our wedding day. We had a beach ceremony, outdoor cocktail hour and ballroom reception. Everything was absolutely perfect. The food was incredible, (try the crab cakes!), and over our three day event all of our guests couldn't stop raving about all of the employees, how accommodating, kind, and personable they all were! We will definitely be going back to Ocean Edge probably once a year. When it comes to having a wedding down the cape during summer, you know it will be pricey, but ocean edge is a lot more reasonable than say your CBI or Wequasset! We loved it!!!

re realistic, that my dream would come true and then it was raining sideways, again. As I was finishing up my make-up I saw tiny specs of blue in the sky and despite my wedding coordinators wishes, we were married on the beach. My biggest problem getting married at Ocean Edge, was my wedding planner was not into changing the ceremony from the Pavilion to the Beach. She was disagreeable and it required several families memebers to put their foot down and make my dream come true. We truly did have a magical and perfectly special day once I was on the shuttle and heading for the beach, but the chaos that took place prior to that was a little hectic and stress that was not needed in the bridal suite. Our food tasting was amazing and our food at our reception was delcious. Often you hear horror stories of tastings being perfect and then the food is horrible. That was not the case. The food at our cocktail hour was amazing and delicious (or so I was told, since I ate nothing at the cocktail hour). Our salads and breads were fresh and alive with the tastes of summer. The tenderloin was literally cooked perfectly with the best mashed potatoes and steamed to perfection asparagus. Those that had the filet and swordfish or chicken also raved about their meals. The truffles and chocolate covered strawberries were a lovely addition and perfect ending to our meal. We also paired wine with each course and it was paired beautifully. Despite my wedding coordinator being rude and obnoxious about me switching the ceremony at 1:35 when the ceremony began at 2pm, everything else was perfectly lovely and the other vendors I used helped to make our day truly picture perfect and wonderful.

I would highly recommend having an event at Ocean Edge, and to work with Heather!!
