The day of there were several mistakes with ballroom setup including mixing up table assignments and getting the seating chart wrong for the head table ( they sat my husband and I at the wrong seats!) When we arrived at the hotel for the weekend they didn't even know a wedding was going on and thought we were part of the corporate event as well as calling my husband by the wrong name after several conversations with the front desk and our wedding coordinator. After the wedding weekend we had to coordinate picking up items from the wedding to which our wedding coordinator never responded and the billing department were sending us inaccurate bills for things that were not applicable. I am truly disappointed with the management and how they handled our wedding from start to finish. I would highly discourage anyone from having an event especially a wedding at the Ocean House as beautiful of a venue it is NOT WORTH the money or experience for such an important life event. I have talked to other brides who have been married at Ocean House or Weekapaug Inn (sister property) and they have all had similar experiences. Bottom line DON'T GET MARRIED AT THE OCEAN HOUSE!!!!!!

to our decorations and beyond. It was truly a "one of a kind" experience. Prior to the wedding, we gave all of our day of items to the catering manager, who set everything up to perfection and allowed us to enjoy the day without worrying about a thing. I cannot say enough about Toni Scotto and the entire staff at Ocean House - they all went out of their way to make us feel special on our day and during our entire stay at Ocean House. The farm to table buffet was simply amazing. All of our guests commented that it was the best wedding food they had ever had. This was no surprise to us, as we frequently dine in the restaurant and on the terrace. We were lucky to have good weather to enjoy an outdoor cocktail hour. It was a bit chilly, so Toni set up 2 space heaters (that were still visually attractive), and cozy blankets were handed out to guests. My wedding party and I had an attendant who brought us all champagne and cocktail hour food, and the groom and I had a personal server during the reception. It was the "above and beyond" details like this that would make me recommend Ocean House without reservation. While it is undoubtedly the most pricey venue in the area, I have been to many other RI and CT wedding venues and must say that the cost of Ocean House it is well worth it. The quality far surpasses any wedding venue I have ever been to, and our guests agreed.

They are a new venue and are still working out the kinks. The banquet manager is overworked and took forever to respond to questions. For the price of the venue you would expect five star service but it was nowhere close. Additionally, they gave away our room block mistakenly and made no apologies or attempts to rectify the situation. The planning process was very disappointing and actually tarnished some of the joy in planning our wedding; however, it was quickly forgotten by a truly magical wedding day.
