We had a wonderful stay at Ocean Sands Beach Boutique in Vilano Beach. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by a very friendly and warm check-in, which immediately set the tone for our stay.

clean, and very comfortable. What truly impressed us most was the incredible attention to detail from the owners. Little touches made a big difference — chocolates by the bed, lovely complimentary toiletries, and even offers to provide anything we might have forgotten. There was lavender spray for our pillows to help us sleep, free sunscreen for heading to the beach, and a shared kitchen with coffee and tea available whenever you wanted.
The beach is directly across the road, making the location absolutely perfect. Breakfast was freshly cooked, delicious, and generous, with plenty of extras and a relaxed help-yourself setup.
All of this came at a very, very reasonable price — honestly some of the best value for money we’ve experienced in the United States so far. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the St Augustine area.

t soon after they called us to tell us they had found it and would either ship back to us or let us pick it up. Honesty, very refreshing. The rooms are very comfortable and the beds and bedding make for a very nice sleep. Directly across from a 1-acre private beach which our dog loves. Oh yeah, they are dog friendly here. There is a daily upcharge that's a little steep, we paid $75/night, but well worth it to be so close. Highly recommend Ocean Sands.

RY GOOD. They had tea, coffee and cookies when we arrived and when I say cookies like home made delicious cookies. Now the reason I gave it 3 stars and not 5 are 3. I booked an "Ocean View Queen . . ." The rooms view was in direction of the ocean but it was first floor and there's a road that's higher level than the room so . . . no Ocean to be seen from the room. Those same rooms on the second floor must have a beautiful view though. I'm a bigger person 6' 270 lbs and the bed, even though VERY COMFORTABLE, felt like it was going to fall apart between me and the wife which combined weight is around 500lbs. Normally I book King beds to avoid this but I know my wife loves this type of hotels and they didn't have any King available. Last but not least they didn't have a person after that could attend to what you needed after 6-7 meaning our A/C started acting up and I had to spend about 1-2 on and off working on it for it to work and had to keep going back and forth to the lobby and talk to a person on a screen who was reading from a script which he was kind and attentive but felt impersonal. I understand that's how they are fixing 2 problems which one is lack of personnel since it's hard to hire and keeping cost low. Again over all still GEM will rebook if I can get a King if not we'll probably staying somewhere else.

Ocean Sands is located on a busy road across the street from the beach. Aside from traffic noise and through no fault of the hotel,there is a massive construction project affecting the view. Late night check-in (9:45) was a nightmare. You check...
in at a kiosk manned by someone off-site through video chat. Key cards were issued like a vending machine. Walking one flight up to the room we found the door slightly ajar, stowed some of our luggage then closed the door to run to the car for more. We returned to find that our keyboards didn't work. Went downstairs to talk to the kiosk. More cards issued. Those didn't work. The next 2 sets of cards either. We told the kiosk man they need to get someone to get our luggage out of the room. About 1/2 hour later a man shows up to get us in the food.At this point t we were too tired to argue with kiosk man about getting a refund. Next morning we got a late check out which should have been offered at the start. The beds were comfortable and the sliding door kept most of the traffic noise out. The room met our needs. The bathroom was remodeled very nicely. The "hot breakfast" was indeed hot and generous. Note to management: no need to have little toiletries from other hotel chains, especially when your own are sufficient.

as kind of confusing and the cards didn’t work nor did the door completely shut without extra help. The desk was at least helpful to fix the cards. Only two floors but no elevator. The rooms were small and half of the lights and clock did not work and the ones that did were too bright. The tv worked but seemed fuzzy. The porch and porch light were great. Plenty of brochures for sight seeing. The toilet wasn’t properly cleaned. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing! They had everything and some but seems to have run out if you were eating later. It was raining so we didn’t get to enjoy all the outdoor pool and scenery. You had to drive to go anywhere else not far but something to think about. The2nd floor ocean view was a great to watch the sunrise.
