Imagine exchanging vows in a majestic French Gothic “castle,” surrounded by soaring turrets, stained-glass windows, and sweeping ocean panoramas. Built in 1892, Ochre Court offers a breathtaking blend of historic grandeur and modern comfort, creating an unforgettable setting for up to 200 guests. Ochre Court serves as both the University’s main administration building and one of the grand mansions of the 19th century. This architectural landmark offers sweeping ocean views and timeless grandeur for select receptions and private events. Your ceremony could take place at Our Lady of Mercy Chapel, accommodating Catholic ceremonies, all supported by Salve Regina’s experienced events team. Our team can also be helpful identifying alternative options for your ceremony. Beyond Ochre Court, the campus features three distinctive venues for every part of your celebration: • McAuley Hall (formerly the Vinland Estate): A stunning Gilded Age mansion of red sandstone overlooking the Cliff Walk, complete with a scenic terrace and expansive lawn—perfect for receptions, rehearsal dinners, or post-wedding brunches. • Young Building (Fairlawn Mansion) —home to the University’s Pell Center for International Relations and Public Policy—: Nestled on historic Bellevue Avenue, this Queen Anne-style estate offers a grand ballroom and ornate gathering spaces rich with Gilded Age history, ideal for intimate events, showers, or welcome parties. • Cliffside Lawns and Terraces: Outdoor spaces along the Cliff Walk can be tented for magical oceanfront celebrations beneath Newport’s iconic sunsets. Every venue, both indoors and out, is accessible and features event flexibility for weddings, rehearsal dinners, showers, brunches, and parties. Every package includes a five-hour reception, tables and chairs with full setup and breakdown, and professional planning support—to ensure your celebration is seamless and uniquely yours.
