Our lighting, draping and dance floor were set up by the magnificent John of OCLA Events. We got married at the Estancia in La Jolla, CA and John recreated the ballroom into a stunning wedding reception. From the beginning, he was such a professional and kind person to work with. We had some ideas for color and style for the ballroom, and John worked perfectly with us to make the room truly shine.
He did an exceptional job with pinspotting on all our guest tables and lighting up my headtable, and our white dance floor was a beautiful center for the reception. We had loved the ballroom already but with John's work, it absolutely glowed. So many guests complimented us on how the room felt so romantic, like a movie scene.
His budget is super great for the incredible work he does -- we ended up choosing him for the lighting/dance floor services over vendors we found locally in the San Diego area because he worked everything out to a reasonable price. Thank you so much John for your hard work - we would highly recommend him for any wedding or event!
OCLA was the best event company for my wedding hands down! Look no further, John is the best. He took his time with me to make my wedding vision perfect. I interviewed multiple event producers and John was the most experienced and professional. He really put my wedding first (even though he is a busy guy) and made me feel like i was in the best hands for my big day. He turned my wedding reception into a dream, and I still have guests telling me how perfect my linens, lighting, and event structure was. I never worried about anything because John had everything under control and stuck with my vision. John thank you for all your hard work, I will be referring him to all of my friends and family and will never forget his experience.
John at OCLA Events was absolutely wonderful to work with! He worked with me to give me the best deal possible and went above and beyond in expectations and delivery. He and his team completely transformed a plain venue into the setting that I had dreamed of complete with glamorous chandelier, exquisite draping, lighting, and spotlights that were just perfect for our Old Hollywood Glam themed reception.
In addition to that, John went above and beyond to assist our planners in making sure the venue was completely ready for us, helping out with details beyond what he was responsible for and I will be forever grateful for his help, talent, and wonderful service!!
Where do I start? I remember calling John about a month and a half before my wedding. I had been trying to find a decor company that could give a special touch to my wedding. I either was told I had to spend a minimum or they couldn't meet with me until 2-3 weeks out. When I called John and told him my problems, he was so happy to help me. We set up an appointment right away at my venue location! He was extremely professional. I thought I was going to come in and just tell him what I wanted, but instead gave me great suggestions and gave me his expert opinion. I had a walk through with another company and all they wanted to do was what they wanted and what will work for them. I did not feel this was with John at all. He immediately saw my vision and quickly put a quote together for me. We had another meeting at their warehouse and they spent a good amount of time going over all my options. I changed my mind about color and different decor furniture, and John was always there ready with another quote. John even helped me out the day before the wedding when I had a root canal and couldn't go shopping for the candy bar items. A quote was quickly put together for me to rent cupcake stands, trays etc. Unlike other vendors that were asking for their money as soon as I arrived, John not once asked me about money instead told me just send me a check. A bride doesn't have time to think about payments or money on one of their most important day of their lives and John made sure I felt no stress. When I arrived everything was ready to go. The ceremony area looked beautiful and the inside decor was everything I had envisioned. Thank you to you John and your team for an amazing job!!! I am already referring my friends and family to OCLA Events!!!
