Heritage Hall (O'Connell Hall) was our perfect wedding venue! Both being CUA alum, this location holds a special place in our hearts as this is where our love story first started. Working with Jacques Moore was amazing. His dedication to us as a couple ensured we were able to make our dream wedding a reality. The space was charming, warm, and the perfect spot to hold our 150 people. Rain/weather caused us to need to move our cocktail hour from the outside patio (with a gorgeous Basilica view), inside, but that was an easy and smooth transition -- all thanks to the wonderful staff and workers. Their in-house caterers (shout out Tiffany!) were amazing and everyone raved about the food! All in all, we are so thankful for the service and hospitality we received in choosing CUA!

My daughter is a CUA graduate so this was the perfect venue for her reception. Jacques was great to work with and very patient with my endless questions. I was planning this wedding from out of town, so I was nervous about everything coming together, but everything was set up perfectly just as we had requested.

O'Connell Hall - Catholic University of America is a wedding venue located on Michigan Avenue, Washington, DC. Building work on the 176-acre university campus was completed in 2003, and it has been the scene of some fantastically romantic and moving wedding celebrations for over two decades. The Heritage Hall is a stunning, restored historic property located on the campus of The Catholic University of America. Pryzbyla Great Room is another gorgeous wedding scene, and it accommodates 80 for a banquet-style celebration and 200 for an open reception. Although this venue is beautiful, there is a huge lack of communication from their team. I was in contact with Caroline Parnell and her team for a few months, I had some family vis...
it the venue for a tour and for a very long time it was my top choice for a July 2026 wedding venue. After my tour, I emailed to receive a price breakdown of the venue and I was provided a Chartwell link with no further communication. I have been continuously calling CUA trying to get Caroline on the phone to provide me with some clarification on next steps to no avail. I am always told Caroline is unavailable and I will be given a call back and to date, I have not received a call back from Caroline or anyone on the Catholic University events team. This is upsetting because this was my top venue choice for an extremely long time and there has been no accountability from the team to try to remedy this situation.
