Of Fate and Chaos

Emma was absolutely a delight to work with! As the Wedding Coordinator of a wedding she was photographing, it was a breath of fresh air to be able to know that the photographer had it! Emma was so professional and honestly just a wonderful person all around. There was bad impending weather looking like a total wash out at one point and we had crazy high winds at another, and even still she was calm and went with the flow when we had to change some things around to accommodate. I HIGHLY recommend Emma, you won't be disappointed. I hope to work with you again!

Emma is so wonderful. She is accommodating, listens to what you want, responsive, reasonably priced and personally invested in making your day what you dreamed it would be. She also has amazing packaging! All the materials she sends you are so tastefully done with much attention to detail, which is exactly what you will get when you hire her. Our photos were the most important aspect of our wedding and we love what we got. Emma’s style is unique and I have never seen someone shoot receptions quite like her. We especially love our party pictures! She was patient and kind wrangling family members and the wedding party for portraits and we could not have done the day without her. Thank you so much Emma!

My husband and I are so glad we found Emma. We’d like to think we’re more bohemian and wished for someone who would capture our union in a uniquely intimate way. Queue… Emma. There were many photographers to choose from. I conducted my research by scouring the internet, Instagram and wedding blogs. (I’m surprised Emma’s stuff hasn’t been picked up by Junebugweddings.) I looked at everyone’s photos and read and re-read countless reviews. Of Fate and Chaos intrigued me and was most similar to an ideal I had in mind, a style that was more ethereal and national geographic worthy. Emma went above and beyond as a photographer. I can honestly say she helped make our dream a reality. I had wanted a very private, intimate ceremony and it wouldn’t have been possible without Emma. She literally married us. We were eloping in the mountains and Emma added lovely thoughtful touches, creating the most amazing bouquet and boutonniere for us, knowing my then-fiance and I had busy work and travel schedules and were eloping almost by the seat of our pants. Since we eloped at the top of a mountain, Emma even helped us arrange transportation up to the top (I had chosen a mermaid dress - not the wisest for a mountain-top elopement). She remains a friend to this day (even though I haven’t even been married a year yet). On top of Emma being such a consummate professional who goes above and beyond for her clients, her work speaks for itself. I am just so thrilled with our photos. The photographs are beyond what I could have hoped for. Everyone who’s seen our photos comments on how amazing our photos look. The location was beautiful, but the composition and the lighting and all the other photo stuff for which I don’t have the appropriate vocabulary were on point. I highly highly recommend Emma!

Emma is truly a special person--she is kind, conscientious, and incredibly talented. Photography was probably my number one priority when planning my wedding. I'm very picky and wanted photos that captured the emotion and mood of my wedding day. I saw Emma's photos and I absolutely fell in love. Then, she exceeded my expectations on every level. From the beginning, she was interested in learning about who my husband and I are, and not on a surface level. Even through email, she makes you feel comfortable and special. We didn't plan to have an engagement shoot but since she was going to be in our area a few months before our wedding, she offered to photograph us. It was a cold, snowy, dreary March day in the mountains, and our photos are stunning. She is an absolute magician with lighting. Also, we had a blast. It was intimate and fun and sweet. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Then, I didn't have a planner, so Emma helped me plan a schedule for my day. She was in contact all the time in the months before the wedding, checking in with me, giving me words of encouragement, and making the process fun. Last, I can't say enough about my actual wedding photos. They are absolutely gorgeous. Like, unbelievable. She truly captured moments and emotions. My friends and family--and even people on facebook that I barely know--have raved about my photos. My dad couldn't care less about photos, and he just thinks they're incredible. My mom has gushed about how every person in every photo somehow looks gorgeous, and it's true. My family and friends now have pictures of themselves from my wedding hanging in their houses because not only did Emma make me look like my best self, she made my family and guests look like their best selves too. That is an incredible thing.

Working with Emma was a DREAM. Emma is someone who has the gift of instantly making you feel comfortable, accepted, and special. She goes out of her way to show kindness and thoughtfulness, and she is a skilled communicator who demonstrates clarity, humor, and charm. She was truly a breath of fresh air for us during wedding planning. As soon as we spoke to her, we knew we had found our person, and she totally exceeded her expectations. On top of all that human goodness, she is an extraordinary photographer who captured all of our special moments with ease, joy, uniqueness, and beauty. Seriously guys... Don't even click to another profile because guess what???? YOU FOUND YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER! I stumbled upon Of Fate and Chaos during one of many nights of unrest, on the wedding planing journey. I clicked on her website and instantaneously fell in love. Her photography style is so unique and something that I have honestly never seen. She captures your HAPPY, JOY, and LOVE. Emma herself is a gem of a being and if I could walk around with a recording of her laugh on loop I would. She is a person who LOVES her job and that is apparent in the way she treats her couples and the people around her. I am so lucky that every star aligned just right to find her. She was generous with all the highlights she posted and her blog post make you feel like a super star. We received all our photos so promptly. I can honestly say that if you choose anyone else you are doing yourself and your wedding a great disservice.

Emma was such an amazing photographer! We had our wedding this past October in New Orleans and she was able to perfectly capture the beauty of the ceremony as well as the fun we had during our second line parade/reception. She even managed the more traditional photos and portraits of the wedding party look chic and original. We loved that she emailed us a questionnaire to fill out before the wedding so she could make sure that she wouldn't miss a single detail we wanted to have documented. Not only did she get everything we wanted, she also captured dozens of those those amazing little moments you can never anticipate. We got an overwhelming response from our family and friends when we shared our photos on social media. Our guests were so happy to have beautiful photos of themselves and their loved ones that they could share. Everyone wanted to know who took them. We especially loved how she sent us a sneak peek of her favorite photos the day after the wedding and we had our digital downloads shortly after we returned from our honeymoon. With Emma, you won't have to worry about waiting for your photos for ages. She is also great at promptly responding to any questions, concerns or ideas you may have. Emma was amazing to work with. My now husband and I knew our photos would be very important to us but we weren't able to spend a lot of money, so after much research we came across Emma! She was extremely professional and you can tell she really cares. I would recommend her to anyone.

Full disclosure, I am a long time friend of Emma. However, I still had to convince my now wife that Emma was the right choice for photographing our wedding.
