We later learned that she had already been in contact with these replacements three weeks prior, yet we were never informed until days before the wedding. We also later discovered that another couple had been booked on the same wedding date by Off The Rails, and they also had replacement photographers hired for their wedding as well. In the months leading up to our wedding, communication was extremely poor. Multiple calls that were scheduled with Sophie and Tristan were missed without notice, and messages often went unanswered for long periods of time. As our wedding date got closer, this lack of responsiveness became increasingly stressful since we were simply trying to confirm basic details about our wedding photography and videography coverage. After our wedding, calls and texts asking for basic updates were largely ignored. At times we genuinely felt like we were being ghosted. We were repeatedly given personal excuses but no clear communication about what was happening with our wedding photos. After the wedding, their only remaining responsibility was editing the photos and video captured by the replacement team. Unfortunately, the final products were very disappointing. The photos appeared barely edited and unfinished unless I specifically requested basic retouching (such as removing visible blemishes). The video felt rushed, included visible glitches, and overall looked very unprofessional. Deadlines for receiving our media were changed multiple times without explanation, and communication continued to be unreliable throughout the process. We ultimately received a partial refund for the video services due to the poor quality of the final product. At one point, we were also asked to sign an agreement stating that we would not leave negative reviews in exchange for compensation, which we did not sign. This entire experience was stressful and frustrating—exactly the opposite of what couples should experience with a wedding vendor. The lack of communication, professionalism, and accountability was extremely disappointing. If you are considering Off The Rails for wedding photography or videography, I strongly recommend booking someone else.
