Off The Vine Catering

Jody and Off the Vine catered my daughter's wedding last month. The food was delicious and the staff was outstanding! Due to the weather, the planned outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour had to be moved indoors. At the last hour, the OTV staff expertly flipped the indoor space for the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and dancing. Not an easy feat to pull off for 170 guests but the transition was seamless. I'm still receiving phone calls/texts from our guests, asking who our caterer was and complimenting everything from "the best food ever served at a wedding," to the attentive staff that served the entrees to all of the guests in a matter of minutes. Jody's expertise was evident throughout the entire planning process. In the final 2 weeks leading up to the wedding, there were issues with other vendors, and Jody helped to set things straight with them and thanks to her everything went smoothly on Wedding Day! At the end of the night, the venue coordinator was asking me for feedback and I told her that everyone was raving about Off the Vine. She replied that in her experience they are the best caterer to deal with and they can handle anything. Without a doubt, I will be hiring Off the Vine for all of my future catering needs!

I'm so happy we went with Off the Vine! They were amazing to work with and the food was delicious. Jody was so helpful and knowledgeable and was so patient with me every step of the way. We had a tight budget and she never made me feel uncomfortable but truly did her best to help us have the wedding of our dreams. Everything went amazingly the day of as well! We had a great experience working with Jody and Off the Vine for our wedding last month. Jody was very responsive throughout the process, working with us to adjust our proposal throughout the planning period and accommodating all of our asks. This is the 6th event that Jody and Off the Vine Catering have hosted for us. Yup - not a typo. 6th! Its because they are incredibly consistent in the preparation, never missing a detail, excellent food and wonderful staff. On time, on budget, they deliver exactly what they tell you they will including food, plates, silverware, linens, tables, tents, chairs - you name it! Food was delicious! Jody was extremely responsive and knowledgable. The entire team worked in a tent during a huge rain storm, but were able to make the food as if nothing was going wrong. They also were very responsive to my dietary restrictions and were able to work around them. Wish I could have my wedding dinner again!

I was very happy with my decision to hire Off the Vine Catering for my November 2022 wedding! They were one of eight pre-approved caterers for my venue (Charles River Museum). One of the main reasons I selected Off the Vine was because of how easy it was to work with Jody. She was extremely responsive from the beginning and had many great suggestions throughout the planning process given her experience at my venue. The food at the reception was excellent (which is of course very important when selecting a caterer!), and the Off the Vine team helped the reception run very smoothly. I'd definitely recommend Off the Vine to anyone planning a wedding in the Boston area!

We hired off the vine based solely on our tasting prepared by Chef Darren Maggio. We knew that a great tasting doesnt always translate to a great event, since preparing a meal for 4 is not the same as doing it for 120. In our case, though, every single dish, prepared for every guest, was PERFECT. We received rave reviews from guests on everything from apps to entrees to desserts. Holly James is a terrific manager who is friendly, well-organized, flexible, and highly responsive. As a result, the service was impeccable. We highly recommend Off the Vine!

It has been two months since our wedding and people are still complimenting us on the food provided by Off the Vine. We had the most amazing barbecue style food for our wedding- the mac and cheese was incredible! Off the Vine was great about meeting our specific style and working with some difficult allergies. My vegan friends said that this was the best vegan wedding food that they had ever had. I was totally satisfied with the food on the day of. Thank you to Walter and everyone at Off the Vine for helping our day be the best it could be!

We loved working with Off the Vine for our wedding and I cannot tell you how many people came up to me to share how amazing the food was during and after our wedding. We worked with Toby who is so incredibly sweet and organized. She guided us through the whole process and was incredibly responsive the whole time, especially considering we had to wait an extra year to have our wedding due to Covid. Toby made sure we were taken care of on the day of by having Barbara as the catering manager. Barbara was amazing. She was so attentive throughout the entire wedding to our needs and helped keep everyone on track. We were blown away by the quality of the food and service. We highly recommend working with Off the Vine, we are so so happy we did!

Off the Vine was simply the best for our September wedding! This was destination wedding for us since we live out west, so we weren't able to taste any of the food before our wedding. This made us pretty nervous but WOW did they impress us on the big day!! The food was absolutely amazing and so was the service! All of our guests were so complimentary of the food and service and we keep hearing about it after 2 months! Holly was very professional throughout the whole planning process too. We are so happy we hired Off the Vine Catering and you would be lucky to have them caterer your big event!

Holly and everyone at Off the Vine were INCREDIBLE to work with. They catered our 200 person backyard wedding in September and we could not have been more blown away with the results. My husband is from NY/NJ and has a big Italian family. His #1 priority for our wedding was making sure the food would be amazing and Off the Vine exceeded our expectations in every way. Our guests are STILL raving about the food two months later. Everything was perfectly cooked and served hot which really says a lot considering our wedding was hosted in our backyard and they were cooking in a catering tent. At the end of the night, they brought out the most delicious grilled cheese and fries for all of our guests as a late-night snack. It was such a hit. The service was amazing from beginning to end. Throughout the entire process, Holly was always responsive, organized, and fun to plan with. We could not be more grateful that we found Off the Vine and were able to work with them on our big day. HIGHLY recommend.

The food was amazing. The service was amazing. Everyone enjoyed their meals and I was able to have one of the best vegan options I’ve ever had at a wedding. I can not recommend Off the Vine enough if you want an amazing meal your guests will rave about.

Off the Vine was the perfect wedding caterer. Food for our wedding was our biggest expense and I am certain that we got our moneys worth. Toby worked very closely with myself and my now husband throughout the planning process. We had a lovely tasting event with them and from that moment, we were hooked. It has been a month since our wedding and people still rave about their amazing mashed potatoes and mini cheeseburger sliders. On top of their incredible food, Off the Vine took care of the serve-ware, the linens, and the waitstaff. While this doesn't come cheap, the peace of mind that we were offered on our big day made this absolutely worth it. We cannot thank Toby and her team enough for the help with the most perfect day ever!

Debbie and the whole Off the Vine catering staff were amazing! We felt in such good hands for our wedding with them. We can’t say enough good things about Debbie. She was organized and efficient through the whole process. She was on top of every detail and asked us questions throughout the process to make sure we were as well! She executed our day perfectly and made us both feel at ease through the whole evening and the planning leading up to the big day. The whole Off the Vine Catering staff was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and the service was some of the best we have seen at a wedding!

Off The Vine gets an A+ for their food and day of service delivery. I highly recommend them! The only "issues" we had were the communication through the planning process (it sometimes took weeks to get a response and 50% of the time the response didn't answer any of the questions we originally asked) and on our wedding day we specifically asked to have someone cater to my husband and I while we were doing photos during cocktail hour and that never happened (we asked multiple times for drinks or food and it was never brought to us... and we never moved locations). All in all, I still recommend them for the food quality which was fantastic, but just be prepared to be slightly frustrated in the planning process.

We hired Off the Vine Catering for our June 2018 wedding after a fabulous tasting with them in the summer of 2017, and we are so glad that we did. The food was absolutely amazing, and nearly every guest commented to us that it was a highlight of the night for them - some of the tastiest food that they have ever had. Everything from the passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, to the entrees, to the desserts and mini cheeseburgers for a late-night snack were absolutely perfect. Toby was a true pleasure to work with throughout the planning process, giving honest recommendations about our menu and numbers. On the night of the event, she made sure we stuck to our timeline, and her catering staff was incredibly kind and attentive to all guests. We highly recommend working with Off the Vine for your event, you will not regret it!

Off The Vine truly blew me away with their food, presentation, and service. Working with Toby was a pleasure, as she’s a total pro, and she was amazingly helpful through out the entire process. I’m in the restaurant industry myself, so I was a bit picky about plating and presentation etc. and it was a complete non-issue as OTV listened to every request I made, right down to fresh mint on the bar for mojitos (from Toby’s own garden!) and lemon wheels on the salmon. Regarding service, I can’t say enough great things. My 87 year old grandmother had a server basically waiting on her hand and foot, with a smile the entire time. And when she ate to many lamb lollipops and couldn’t eat her meal, the same server was kind enough to find a makeshift box for her to take her meal home! That’s service! Since our wedding everyone we know has been raving about the food and their experience. My husband and I can’t thank OTV and Toby enough, and we highly recommend them for anyone who wants a fantastic caterer to make their day just as special as ours was.

My husband and I hired Off the Vine for our September 2018 wedding. We had a unique venue that came with some logistical challenges for catering, cocktail hour for the bridal party, and general access for setting up pre wedding. Lucky for us, we had the best of the best! Walter with OTV was amazing. He was always quick to respond to any questions I had, was great at providing solutions to any issues that came up or bumps that came with a non traditional venue. He made me feel at ease and confident that everything would be just right for our special day. The day of, we had such wonderful staff working the event. I had guests tell me for days later how wonderful as attentive the wait staff and bar tenders were, and I know they were always close by for my husband and I that night to make sure we ate while the food was hot and got plenty of drinks as needed. I am so grateful to the entire team for making the day so special for us and I would highly recommend using them for any special event you have!

Off the Vine was fantastic!! We hired them to cater our wedding at Misselwood this summer. Toby was a pleasure and she provided us with so much help and many tips during the planning process from the tasting, to our planning meeting and finally our wedding day. They have an extensive menu and the food is delicious! Many guests commented on how much they loved the food. The passed appetizers were a big hit as well, we recommend the sliders and the pizza! We also added to our dessert selection and Off the Vine was happy to take our custom request. In addition, they made sure we actually ate on our wedding day! They brought appetizers to us and the bridal party/family as we were taking pictures during cocktail hour and they also made sure to remind us to sit down to eat dinner and we actually did sit and enjoy our first meal as a married couple. We highly recommend Off The Vine to all Boston area couples!!

My husband and I had experienced OTV at a wedding a few weeks before becoming engaged, and we’re absolutely floored by the food and service. Once we became engaged and booked a venue, we were THRILLED to find out we could use whatever caterer we wanted. We price shopped a bit, but we also weren’t willing to sacrifice quality in our selection. After our tasting it was clear that OTV was the perfect caterer for us. Toby and the team made it easy. I’ve been in the restaurant industry for 14 years and knew what I wanted, down to plating, and they were happy to honor my requests, as well as make great recommendations based on experience, and things we might have overlooked. Our guests have been raving about the service, food and selection. We also utilized OTV’s bartenders (open bar, through Kappy’s on Call) and it was a great decision. We couldn’t be happier with the way everything went on our wedding day, and we highly recommend them!

We picked Off the Vine for our September 7 Misselwood wedding and can say it was one of the best decisions we made! The food was amazing and our guests have not stopped talking about it - from the passed apps to the meal to the desserts, even the salad got praise! Toby at Off the Vine is incredibly easy to work with and is so knowledgeable. She accommodated every request, answered every question (and there were many), and offered recommendations that were so helpful. We wish we could eat all the food again and again! Toby was an absolute pleasure to work with! We chose Off The Vine to be our wedding caterer at Misselwood on May 27 2018. My husband and I are foodies. And coming from a large Italian family food is everything, it’s the heart and soul of brining people together. I knew right after we finished our tasting that OTV was it! Their food is incredible!! It’s truly fine dining. The presentation is out of this world. The passed appetizers, the Italian antipasto standing station, the main courses... EVERYTHING was good. Our guests are still raving about the food. Not one person had something they didn’t like. This is not “typical” wedding food. I would reccommend OTV a thousand times over, for any event but especially weddings! OH and shout out to the catering staff, they were phenomenal. (Everyone noticed)

Off the Vine provided delicious food for our wedding of 80people at the gardens at Elm Bank! People were raving about everything including our passed appetizers! It was great to have an on-site coordinator for the day of.

We cannot begin to say how amazing our experience was with Off the Vine. Toby was simply amazing to work with and held our hand throughout the entire planning process. Off the Vine catered our rehearsal dinner and wedding and all our guests commented on how outstanding the food and service was both evenings. We used Off the Vine Catering for our wedding this August and we could not be happier with our choice. Amanda was our go to person and she is absolutely amazing, a life saver basically. She was so easy to work with, and quickly answered every single question, call, email, and maybe ridiculously request from me (and my mother, who had her own personal wedding binder haha). From the very beginning I felt comfortable because she is knowledgable, professional, and made me feel less stressed about the process. Amanda made sure our day was perfect and made us feel at ease as she took care of everything. You know she is good at what she does because she ran the wedding and for the most part went unseen! Her team was also incredible, they were so friendly and accommodating that even our guests raved about the service. Food was incredible and everyone is still talking about the scallops wrapped in bacon, sliders, chicken and waffles, dinner, and dessert. I would highly recommend Off the Vine Catering, and Amanda in particular. My daughter's wedding was held at the Charles River Museum on March 25, 2017. One of our favorite parts of the planning process was the food tasting, where we were served full size portions of appetizers and entrees that we had already selected. Our cocktail hour had a beautiful stationary display and passed appetizers. We had a lot of compliments on the dinner, and the cake/coffee display was perfect for those who wanted dessert. if you are looking for great food and an organized team, Off the Vine Catering is a good choice.

Amanda Allard with Off the Vine is unbelievably amazing!!! She not only was our caterer, but since we were new to the wedding scene (first family wedding), and were doing a non-traditional wedding at our families home she truly was our wedding planner! She came to the rehearsal and helped us plan how we walked down the aisle, and kept my large bridal party (12 bridesmaids -- eek!) focused. My wedding day was perfect because of her, and I can't speak more highly of her/this catering company. People are still talking about the food at our wedding, and i've already recommended them to many of my newly engaged friends. My family has Celiac disease, and they made so many gluten free options for them, I was overjoyed with the quality of service and taste of the food at this company. This review doesn't even do it justice!

We had Off the Vine cater our August wedding for 125 people. They did an AWESOME job! The food was amazing and the service was exceptional. Also, Amanda coordinated the wedding an exceptional attention to detail and was thoughtful throughout. She even helped us with the rehearsal the night before. And, after getting several quotes from other vendors, I found OTV to be very reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

Off the Vine well exceeded our expectations!! From the get go Toby was a pleasure to work with - extremely professional and helpful in answering all our many questions. The tasting was wonderful and made us feel very confident in our decision to book with OTV. On our wedding day the food was beautifully presented and more importantly delicious!! Our only regret was that we didn't get to eat more of it!!! PS. We highly recommend the truffle mashed potatoes!

We used Off the Vine Catering for our wedding at Misselwood and could NOT HAVE BEEN HAPPIER! Toby deserves the highest praise and was so helpful in the wedding planning process (not just deciding on the food!). She took time to meet with us, explain things, and help us create the best wedding! We were blown away by the food at the tasting and the wedding and haven't stopped receiving compliments from our wedding guests. From the raw bar to the roast beef sandwiches at the end of the night, everything was presented beautifully and tasted delicious. Toby made sure we (and our families) were happy and satisfied throughout the wedding and the staff made sure my husband and I were trying the food we meticulously picked out! Having been to many weddings and events, I have tried my fair share of catered food. Off the Vine catering goes above and beyond, creating a fun and innovative menu and food that tastes like a five star restaurant. I highly recommend using Off the Vine ( I even want to plan another event just to have them cater it! ).

We cannot begin to say how amazing our experience with Off the Vine was. We used them as our caterer for our April 9th wedding. Amanda was our go to person and she went above and beyond. The food was amazing. Our guests were raving about the passed apps (arancinis, scallops wrapped in bacon, chicken and waffles, pizzettas, and mini grilled cheese with tomato soup cups), the 3 stations (sliders and fries, clam chowder, mini lobster rolls, and mini crab cakes, and pasta and Caesar salad) , and the dessert display (mini pastries and an assortment of cheeses). The staff were extremely professional and helpful. There was never a plate or glass left anywhere. We highly recommend them and know that the wedding would not have been as amazing as it was, if it wasn’t for Amanda and the staff at Off the Vine.

We used Off the Vine catering for our wedding about a month ago. The food was delicious, and we’re still hearing from the guests how goo it was. On top of that, the service was exactly what we needed. They acted as the day of coordinator for the wedding and became the point person for all of the vendors. We worked with Amanda- she was AMAZING. She is so easy to get in touch with and very responsive too all concerns and questions. She is very organized and everything at the wedding was the way we wanted it.

Off the Vine and the entire staff did everything, I mean really went the extra mile, to make our wedding reception perfect. We had a home wedding, so there were so many details and logistics to be worked out and they made it easy for us. The food was excellent and our 200 guests raved about it. The staff was attentive and great. Off the Vine Catering really worked with us the entire time and I am so glad we chose them! Even writing about the delicious food makes me think about it and smile!

We had Off the Vine cater both our rehearsal and wedding. The food was perfect! And Amanda, our catering manager, was awesome! You can't wrong with Off the Vine!

My road with Off the Vine was a long one. With a 2.5 year long engagement we signed on with them quite awhile before our actual wedding date to secure the great food and great event manager assigned to us. Fast forward to 50 days out from our wedding date and we were just assigned our 3rd event manager (frustrating but people are allowed to leave their job...lord knows how often I've done that myself!). So 50 days out were having our first conversation with Amanda Allard, who was fairly new to this company as well....cue the bridal stress, right? NOPE. Amanda was unreal. She picked up right where the last lovely event manager had left off, took more notes, asked more questions, responded to emails faster than the speed of light, and took all my calls and questions with a smile. I was so impressed at how quickly she stepped into the role and how well our OCD personalities clicked so much that I could fully trust her with every decor item/idea/minute by minute schedule I'd been planning for 2.5 years. The food, as we'd known all along through our 3 event managers, was fantastic! The bite size passed apps were displayed nicely and tasted even better. The chicken, ravioli, and filet mignon cooked for 100 was impressive. The late night grilled cheese snack was so hot and gooey. We loved it and people are still raving about it. A month ago I saw a friend from out of town for the first time since the wedding. Her first words to me were "2 things: your wedding...the music rocked and the food. wow. the food."

Food was so good and service was amazing! The catering staff kept mine and the groom's food warm and kept reminding us to eat. They were very friendly and helpful!

I cannot say enough good things about Off the Vine. To start, their staff is spectacular. Amanda, the wedding coordinator, reached out to me immediately to get the ball rolling. She worked with me to ensure the food was within my budget. We even met at the event space twice so that she knew how to set everyone up for the day of the event. She was great about listening to what I wanted and also at advising on different linen, decoration, and setup ideas when needed. We met again two days before the event to go through all of the final details. She also had all of the vendor information so that she could ensure everything was flowing smoothly from their end. She had everything organized and planned and is extremely knowledgeable about wedding coordinating. The day of the event, Amanda arrived first followed by the catering staff. I had sent Amanda a picture of the table arrangements. She brought decorations for the buffet to coordinate with the centerpieces as well as set up all of the tables. With knowing what I wanted, the staff just took charge, asking questions when needed to ensure that everything was set up how we wanted. They also set up all of the cupcakes for dessert. The display was gorgeous. Everything was absolutely beautiful. They did a great job taking the one picture I sent and making everything come to life. The food was also spectacular. In past experiences with other caterers, the food had sometimes been dry or under seasoned. Not with Off the Vine. The food was WONDERFUL! It was as if we had gone out to a nice restaurant. It was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. The guests kept telling us how much they loved it, too. Vicky was the event coordinator. She ensured that everything Amanda and I had discussed was enacted. She also kept us on time and let us know when to make speeches, etc. She got everyone seated and ensured that everyone was taken care of the entire night. The whole staff at Off the Vine just made our day stress free and absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Off the Vine catered our wedding in October, 2013. They did a great job. Everyone loved the food. And once the wedding started, we did not have to do anything...they were organized and got things done!!

The food was fantastic! The food was served hot and all guests enjoyed it. The staff were great to work with! Food allergies were easily accommodated. Great company and great staff!

I cannot say enough great things about Off the Vine Catering! Our wedding was held in a theater where food was not allowed to be cooked onsite and there were also limitations of the space available. Even with these restrictions we were able to get food we really liked. We had so many compliments on the food and service, and even though our main course was passed hors d'oeuvres everyone had plenty to eat and no one left hungry. Me and my bridesmaids were running a little late to the theater and when I got there we had boxes of centerpieces, favors, popcorn and cupcakes boxes, along with other stuff as well because we were not allowed to drop the stuff early to the venue. All I had to do was give a general idea of where I wanted things to be and Meg and her staff made the theater look amazing! I was so overwhelmed with all these details in my mind so it was great to have them just take everything from me and tell me they would take care of it. I really need to give extra praise to Meg the event coordinator, she was fantastic! Not only did Meg give us a menu that worked with our venue, but she made sure the whole wedding went smoothly and took care of every detail so that it was just what we envisioned. She was great at responding to all my emails with any questions I had and was so flexible to work with. Meg even helped my Maid of Honor with my difficult bustle! Anyone who chooses to work with Off the Vine Catering will not be disappointed.

OFF THE VINE was absolutely amazing and I cannot imagine having any other caterer! So many of our guests have commented on the food both the main course and the appetizers, so yummy! I was working with Meg at off the vine, she was basically my main woman when it came to answering my millions of questions. Meg is so personable and such kind genuine woman that she made me feel so at ease through the whole process. Meg also went ahead and booked my wedding tent that I needed for my outdoor dinner setting, it was so wonderful not to have to do that separately. Plus the tent was so perfect! We had never met our serving staff before that night but they were so great and worked above and beyond what I expect! There was always someone filling my glass, or making sure I got enough to eat. My venue staff wasn't as hands on and I truly can't thank OFF THE VINE enough for the amazing wedding they helped me pull off. RECOMMEND, RECOMMEND, RECOMMEND!!!!!

My daughter's wedding was two days ago and everything was perfect! This is in no small part due to Meg Maher, our caterer contact and "day of" coordinator from Off the Vine. She was nothing short of brilliant. My daughter, her finance (now husband), my husband and I met with her several times. She was totally focused on finding out what my daughter's vision for the day was and how to execute it. She never once said that something couldn't be done. She was always ready with suggestions where plans weren't fully formed. We did have to ask for incremental cost for added items as we wanted to be sure to understand what price we were paying and which items were worth it and which weren't. Given other services we priced out, Off the Vine costs were in line. I can't say enough about how much we loved Meg's work. She was there every step of the way. She answered every phone call and email. She was always easy to get ahold of and she always did so with smiles and cheerfulness. When she learned that the officiant was not a professional JP, but someone who had a single day license to soleminize the marriage, she said "No problem. I'll come to the rehearsal and run it." When the groom discovered that he had forgotten his shoes on the day of the wedding, she was prepared to start asking the waitstaff what size shoes they were wearing. (Another solution was found.) Wow. Just wow! The food on the buffet was delicious and pleniful. The bartenders were friendly. Meg made sure that the bridal party had water with lemon and appetizers during photos.

VERY professional, reasonably priced, and DELICIOUS! We had about a month to figure out our catering for the reception, and we "found" Off The Vine, by divine intervention. We had been dealing with another caterer, who made us feel like it was our privilege to have them cater our wedding. Off the Vine had exactly the opposite style -- in fact, Meg, our coordinator, said, "It is OUR privilege to help you celebrate this special occasion, and all of our staff will treat you with this in mind." From the beginning consultation to our entrance into the hall, to the service, and the EXCELLENT variety of food... the whole experience was TOP NOTCH. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND Off the Vine Catering, most enthusiastically!

We received so many compliments from our guests not just that it was the best wedding food they had ever had, but also on how attentive the staff was. We wanted something different from the start and they were able to come up with the idea that fit our style and execute it perfectly. Meg met with us prior to the wedding each time we asked and we had complete confidence in her and her staff. Use Domenic & Anthony if you want a wedding free from stress and headaches that will go off flawlessly!

To al brides out there....you need to call D&A! We were so impressed with their service at the initial meeting/tasting, we hired them on the spot. They went above and beyond to make the day perfect. The made everything exactly as we requested and it was delish!! I am still getting compliments from our June wedding! Meg is delightful and made the day so relaxing for us. She handled everything and I had no worries at all. We were also impressed with the value. The quality is worth every penny. I found them to be on par with other area caterers but the food is far better. No rubber chicken here!!! We had 6 apps, salad with pears and candied nuts, chicken and lobster ravioli. YUMMY!!!! They even wrapped a little treat for us at the hotel room in case we were hungry...so thoughtful... I would hire them again in a minute!

I would recommend Custom Catering by Domenic and Anthony to anyone getting married or hosting a large event. The food was fantastic and the service wonderful. The planners made everything very easy and were on top of all the details.
