Ailecia was fantastic! From the very beginning the whole process was super smooth and she was a delight to meet with, both as a professional and just as a friendly face to help out with the general undertaking of a wedding. She clicked with us immediately and had a great intuition on what kind of photos we would want when we were unsure and (I cannot overstate this enough) was absolutely critical to the wedding running smoothly, giving guidance and direction for taking photos on the town, herding people together for family photos, and giving structure to the event with first dance and cake-cutting photos. Her shining personality during the whole thing was just the icing on the cake. I'd also like to note that her assistants for engagement photos and the photo booth at our wedding were both fantastic. During the reception, the photo booth with props was a surprise hit and really elevated the atmosphere and gave everyone something to go home with; the pictures themselves or even just a fun memory. Her experience alone was worth every cent, and on top of that, the humongous pile of terrific photos left us completely amazed. In the end, after the whole event and our honeymoon leaving us exhausted, Ailecia also had a super easy and straightforward process for everyone to view the photos and for us to choose our favorites for edits. We actually followed up on this kind of late and she was still super accommodating, so I just want to compliment that. Overall, we could not be happier. I'd recommend Ailecia as highly as possible.

Hi, I’m a 49 year old award-winning photographer/hipster nerd from Lawrence, KS. I first got into photography in the mid-90s shooting DIY punk shows in living rooms in Alabama during high school. I got my photography education in the late 1990s at Pittsburgh Filmmakers where I learned to develop & print film from negatives. My hobbies include country drive, attending comedy shows, playing with experimental photo techniques & tabletop games. The 6-4 is my favorite domino to start a game with. I am radically committed to celebrating the differences between people & the uniqueness all of us hold. I love working with people from different faiths, genders, sexualities & races than my own. I have a master’s degree in American Studies, which is the study of the intersections of race, class, gender, sexuality, nationality, & religion. I work a lot in the Chabad Jewish community, the LGBTQIA+ community & with hardworking people of all persuasions. My radical papers were donated to the Spencer Research Library at KU for projects such as the North American Anarchist Gathering, Solidarity! Radical infoshop, FWORD (Feminist Women Organization Radical Discourse), Queer as F*ck Sober Dance Parties, Mother Earth Collective, Southern Girls Convention and other radical social movement gatherings, protests and conferences.

to go back to you. Someone on a friend’s facebook commented about how beautiful David and Stephany looked. In my reply I realized that the real reason why I wanted special photo opportunities for my family and friends is not only for them but also for my own failing memory that I want to have a place where I can look and know that these are the most important people in my life. Even without the brain injury sometimes in old age we loose our cognitive abilities and I feel like documentation in photos and videos are the best way to knowing what we want to remember when we no longer have that capability.

photos and our wedding plus the photobooth and she really went over the top on creativity for our engagement shoot listening to us and getting a feel for our style and aesthetic, the photos are stunning. I really loved how upfront she is about her availability and pricing on her website I was able to find the dates she'd already booked and her pricing and packages without having to go back and forth by email she was very upfront with expectations and deadlines and she met all of the deadlines and we got our photos in a very timely matter. Once we met her we knew she was going to be the photographer for us. We really loved that she posts full weddings on her site so we got to see what a full set looks like not just the *best* shots. Ailecia was very receptive to this and tailored a photography package to meet my needs. I received beautiful photographs and was able to select photos from her website to have customized and delivered to my home. I also received a USB drive from her shortly after with all of the photographs as well. Ailecia is a kind person and is very easy to work with. She was also very patient with the chaos that was happening in our disorganized wedding. lecia is fun-loving and super chill. Her team is the same. These are awesome attributes when nerves or emotions come up on the big day! Our photos are unique - no duplicates of everyone else's same old looks/locations. Ailecia has a wonderful eye for lighting, for color, for shadows. She is artistic. She worked well with the bridal party, calmly making requests and keeping things moving, but didn't stress anyone out. The photo booth was easy and fun. Folks loved that they could access the photos, post them, etc. from her web site. In terms of process, we met with her once for an initial meeting and once to figure out the day-of timeline and must-have shots. She's extremely organized (which my planner tendencies appreciated) and very responsive to emails / texts. She didn't over-complicate things and I felt confident deferring to her professional opinion. She touched base to make sure we'd checked everything off the list on our wedding day. She coordinated easily with our DJ. We just got our final edited photos. They are stunning. And we've gotten a lot of compliments about Ailecia, about the photos, and about her capturing our unique selves.

- they were friends. When it comes to awkward people and photos, it takes a photographer with a certain knack for finding the right shots among all the silliness. to LGBTQ rights, and vintage aesthetic. The only trouble was, our budget was on the tight side and we couldn't afford her wedding package. I emailed her anyway, and to our delight, she worked with us to put together a package that would work with our budget...then proceeded to go above and beyond in every way. For example, we scheduled engagement photos last minute for Valentine's Day, and not only was she willing to accommodate our belated request, but she drove to Kansas City and spent a couple hours out in the frigid weather taking photos. Then she sat down with me in her studio and edited hundreds of photos to get my preferred look exactly right, taking copious notes to remember our 'look' for our wedding day. On our wedding day, she got every photo we had requested done efficiently and painlessly. By the next day, she had a gorgeous sneak peek up. It's so nice to have that taste until you get all the edits back! ...Which, by the way, took less than two weeks, which is amazing compared to most of the other brides I'm acquainted with. And in doing the edits, she went above and beyond the terms of the package we had agreed on, just to be nice. Ultimately, Ailecia is a person who does her job because she LOVES her job. In every interaction, she was prompt, professional, fun, inventive, and just so easy to work with. Her props and assistants are adorable, too. I highly recommend hiring Ailecia for your wedding, or really any event. She's here to make you happy, and she does a bang-up job at it.

We bundled engagement pics, photobooth and day of photography together and the price was very affordable for the quality of photos. She was there every step of the way when we were making a timeline for the day of. After the first time we did the timeline, she was reviewing it again to make sure we didn't miss anything and she noticed that the day was going to be extremely hectic for us. She made sure to let me know her worries and offered some suggestions to help de-stress the day if we wanted. apturing so much of our personalities. Ailecia did both our engagement and wedding photos, and we have received so many compliments. Most importantly, we adore them and are so grateful she was part of helping us carry these memories into a long and happy marriage. She has impeccable organization and attention to detail. As we prepared for our wedding, she helped us outline the day to make sure it was full of meaningful moments. The day itself was perfect and her organization did so much to help me relax and just enjoy getting married. The photo booth at the reception was also a huge hit. Our friends and family loved the props, and having a photographer in the booth meant no blurry, mid-pose pictures. It's been awesome to see them use those photos as their profile pictures on social media. It also captured some of our favorite photos with our guests. It was all so perfect! Finally, we were tremendously impressed with her responsiveness and how quickly we were able to see our photos. The Wednesday after our wedding, all of our photos were available on her password-protected website, and an album with select photos were available on Facebook. t ease with the entire process. Helping us feel comfortable was no small task, since my husband and I are both camera-shy, but we knew we wanted to have photos to document the day. Ailecia was completely receptive to what we asked for and was also very clear about what her expectations were and what she would provide, something else that helped us feel relaxed and in good hands. In our initial emails to ask questions and learn more, Ailecia always responded promptly and thoughtfully. Later, when we met her in her (super adorable) studio, she immediately put us at ease and spent time learning more about us. On the day of our wedding, she was amazing. We arranged for Ailecia to come to our house before our small courthouse ceremony to take family photos. It ended up being freezing outside, and she was thoughtful about keeping things moving and taking breaks so no one would be too cold. Ailecia is creative and committed--at one point, she dove onto the ground to take an impromptu shot of everyone toasting from below! Throughout the whole afternoon, she has lots of great ideas and suggestions, and most importantly to us, she listened and helped us feel comfortable. We received our proofs very soon afterwards, and her online system for choosing favorites to be edited was very easy to use. She even delivered the flash drive with the final versions of our photos to our door in a cute gift bag, complete with tons of information for having things printed, including helpful recommendations. From beginning to end, I would recommend working with Ailecia to anyone—she’s wonderful, and so are her photos!

he let us customize our wedding photography package so we were getting exactly what we wanted! After our first meeting, Ailecia set up an additional meeting closer to the wedding, to go over, in detail, what photos I wanted taken at the wedding. I didn’t even think about all the different family and individual pictures that we needed to have taken. Thank god for that meeting, because when it came time to shoot all those photos, Ailecia had a list that she was going through and we were able to knock them out in a timely fashion. She keeps very true to her word when she’s going to get photos uploaded or edited; so I knew exactly when I’d see my photos. She was a blast to work with and I would definitely use her again! When I was searching for photographers for my wedding I kept running into the same problem, excessively expensive pricing for average work, then I came across Oh! Snap! Photography...

online. Not only was their package affordable but it came with so many more desirable features than any other photographer in the area. I chose the package that included 8 hours of photography 200 edited prints and a photobooth for the entire time of the reception and because we had already done engagement photos Ailecia was more than willing to change the price of the package for us accordingly. Most other places in the area charge upwards of 3-4k for this much coverage plus an additional 500 for a photobooth. Ailecia and her assistant were so much fun to have at the wedding and really helped us capture our special day from beginning to end, they really went the extra mile.

ere we didn't really know what to think about, she was helpful giving us ideas while also mindful of our requests. Leading up to the event, she was flexible in meeting with us at the venue (in Kansas City), walking through the evening with us. Finally, day of, her and her assistant were incredibly professional, patient, and helpful for capturing our entire event. The Photo Booth was an awesome touch to the reception, and even more fun for our family, friends, and guests. She captured far more than what we were hoping for and we can't wait to have a reason to work with her again!

and on this front Ailecia was awesome. She always got back to my questions quickly and with detailed answers - which was VERY helpful. The planning we did leading up to the actual wedding day made everything go so much more smoothly and as a result we have a ton of great images to remember the day. The guests absolutely loved the photobooth - everyone took a turn and it was great entertainment for our younger guests especially. I cannot emphasize enough how much I enjoyed working with Ailecia and appreciated her attention to detail, knowledge of the Lawrence area for great photo spots, recommendations for other vendors and advice for laying out the timeline for the actual wedding day. I highly recommend Oh! Snap! for your wedding day.

ine, the photos are edited SUPER quick, and you get a flash drive with all the pictures so you can actually see them and keep them. Added bonus, they are the cheapest in the area that I could find. If you are on the edge about photobooths, do it. Go with Oh Snap!

o at ease with Ailecia and her team. I think I may have talked to them longer than I talked with a few of my guests (by my choice, of course)! The photo package was exactly what we were looking for and it came in under the expected budget. We recently made our own photo book using Artisan State, as recommended by Ailecia. Before that we have made custom books for family members as presents. Being able to space it out and use the pictures as we wanted has been a bonus. I had been in the Oh Snap Photobooths at other events and always appreciate the set-up and ease of use. No need to cram into a small box when you can easily get several people into the perfectly framed photo. Oh Snap was kind enough to leave out the many photos of nieces and nephews continually photo-bombing. We got a good mix of everyone without feeling overwhelmed. I can't wait to work with Ailecia again and strongly recommend Oh Snap to anyone who will listen. Other vendors left us frustrated and upset due to extremely poor communication. We openly praised Ailecia for her clarity and follow-up. She reminded us that it really didn't have to be as difficult as others made it and we could relax and enjoy our special day.

Oh! Snap Photography's photo booth was amazing! My guests had a blast and were very impressed! The props are fun, there is a live person taking the pictures and making you laugh......

sed brick walls as the backdrop which made the pics so fun!! Our guests were in the photo booth all night and we had so many comments about how unique/fun it was. Having to wait to see the pictures for a couple days (while they were professionally edited) also added to the fun. ty photos right after the wedding weekend. The photobooth person was very friendly and kind enough to remind me with all the busyness of friends and family that I should step inside the photobooth! Ha My husband and I were laughing and saying, "awww" while we watched the slideshow afterwards - it was a great way to remember what all had gone on during the wedding. I'd recommend Oh Snap Photography for weddings and many more fun events.
