so laid back and fun. No stress, no deciding how many hours you need. They helped with planning which really built up our confidence and I think it shows in the photos. Value: A+ A lot of my friends had to add hours to their purchase last minute or pay travel fees because they went with bigger companies with fake "awards". What I love about Shawn is it's always him at your wedding not a subcontracted newbie. He doesn't make you decide how much time you need when you book and you don't pay for more hours anyway. I didn't have a timeline ready a year before the wedding so deciding that would have been hard. They worked with us to design a timeline just for great photos. Equipment Normally I wouldn't put this in a review and it's a little techie so forgive me but I was really impressed with the gear he brought to the wedding. When he was covering photo journalistic parts of the wedding he used gear that wasn't so big that it caused a distraction. For our portraits he was using high end medium format cameras most of the time (over 99%) those are outside of the budget for event photographers. I'd also say it's more quality than you need for most people but it's going to be handy in the future as displays get higher definition and printers print in higher quality. They are the same thing we use for high end commercial work. I really appreciate that he treated our images as something we want to keep in a high quality format.

re getting ready and stay till the photos are done! I never would have thought of to make the wedding photos even more than I could have imagined. There's no way to just get lucky and find a good photographer you also want someone who knows how to help you lay out the timeline, knows how to CREATE beautiful lighting setups quickly during a live event. So glad we used them.

tographer. He was there for us through our entire engagement. My now husband, Cody, took note of how highly I spoke of Shawn, and contacted him in advance to take photos of our proposal. These turned out absolutely beautiful and I can't say how much it means having those photos. Shawn also took our engagement photos and WOW! We were amazed and had a hard time picking only one to use for our save the date cards. Not to mention, the three of us had a good time taking the photos. We had some laughs sprinkled in between the photos, which made it easier for us to feel natural. Shawn is a creative and is good with attention to detail, which came through right away when he shared his bride guide with us, which is an excellent resource that his couples are able to use at no charge. Shawn and Kodi were there throughout the entire wedding day start to finish with smiling faces. They went above and beyond to capture every moment -- even through the very end of the night when we added on a Chinese lantern lighting last minute. They were both up for anything and I can't say how much it meant having so many amazing photos from our day. There was a perfect mix of organic shots capturing the raw emotions from the day, posed photos with our bridal party that turned out phenomenal, all of the important moments throughout the ceremony and reception, newly wed photos outside in between the ceremony and reception, and then they also captured a lot of dancing that happened throughout the reception. Shawn posted a preview blog the very next day after our wedding, which Cody and I were SO excited to see on day one of our honeymoon. And then in only a week and a half, he had ALL of the wedding photos to us. I can't say enough great things about working with Shawn. He is very kind, friendly and flexible-- everyone in my family loved having him around, and he also delivered photos beyond our highest expectations. I would recommend hiring Shawn to anyone!

one and everyone I know. We honestly could not be happier! Starting with engagement photos. Shawn and his assistant truly went above and beyond to capture the perfect shots without having huge distracting equipment. Formals weren't as important to us but they did a great job with them even with my quirky family they fit right in. We love how everything turned out, our photos are perfect! Our photographer sent us a bridal guide filled with tips that helped answer so many questions I would have never thought of to help us get the photos we love.
