the most stunning and unique wedding venue. The coordinator was professional and easy to work with. 10 out of 10. I wish I could have another wedding just to party here again!! We booked about 1.5 years out and there were only 3 dates left for 2024 when we booked in 2023, SO get on it!

The Statehouse is definitely not the easiest venue to get in and out of from a guest POV, but we had nothing but positive feedback from our guests and that is a big testament to the preparedness of the Statehouse team. It's definitely not your average wedding venue and that's what we loved about it so much. Besides the building being absolutely breathtaking, here are some other aspects about this wedding venue that are important to know and as a result made for an easy wedding planning experience: - Angela is amazing at what she does and I have heard her other coworker, Taylor, is just as professional. Those girls know how to run a wedding! - It is extremely fair priced. - They were very accommodating towards a rehearsal. In fact, Angela ran the whole thing and it was super quick and easy. -The architecture speaks for itself, so you do not have to go above and beyond with décor and flowers. - You can set up the day before (this was huge!) - You can stay at one venue to get all your pictures done. - Free parking in the garage underneath the venue (my out of town guests who don't know how the city works loved this) Con's to the venue which clearly aren't that much of a concern because I still booked with them so fast! - The parking garage only has a 6'6" clearance. I had a few guests with pretty average trucks unable to park in the garage and were late because they couldn't fit. - The biggest downfall, you cannot get ready (hair and makeup) at this venue. We had to do hair and makeup offsite and then we got dressed at the Statehouse. - We only had our ceremony here and were not allowed to bring any food or drinks inside the building since we didn't have a caterer. This sucked because I wish we all could have just had some Jimmy Johns before the ceremony. - No floral or food drop off the day before.

The historical charm of the building was the perfect touch to make our big day come to life as we were envisioning. We really loved that it did not need much decorating because all of the rooms are so beautiful on their own. We received so many compliments from our guests. Everyone we worked with at the statehouse leading up to our wedding day was amazing. HUGE shout out to our coordinator, Taylor Wegman. She was beyond helpful from day one - extremely organized, great communication, very knowledgable, and an overall joy to be around. She handled all of our vendor communication and coordination and the organization of our day-of set up and tear down (plus so much more behind the scenes). Our wedding day really would not have been possible without her. We are so thankful to have had her as our coordinator which allowed everything to run so smoothly!

You cannot beat the location in downtown Columbus as well. Very close to lots of hotels and restaurants and convenient for out-of-town guests! I 100% recommend!

It’s a special place for your special occasion. The parking is so easy for guests. I would highly recommend anyone consider having their wedding at the Statehouse, as you won’t be disappointed and there is plenty of opportunity to make it your own!

Haley made the whole planning process easy by frequently communicating with us regarding the logistics and details. I want to relive this day over and over again! Everything the day of the wedding went smooth having their staff take care of it all. All of my vendors such as catering, florist and DJ commented how much they enjoy working with the statehouse because of the diligent staff. Our guests consistently complimented how beautiful the venue was. Planning a wedding was enjoyable with such a beautiful wedding venue and great coordinators to work with.

Thanks to Angela we had a perfect wedding at the Ohio Statehouse, and the gorgeous venue left our guests in awe.

She responded promptly to all of my emails or phone calls and managed/coordinated our vendors in the weeks leading up to the wedding and the day of the event. We had multiple meetings with her in which she discussed details of the day that I never would have thought of, which was very much appreciated. On the day of our wedding, I never had a single person or vendor come to me with a question or concern, Angela handled everything so I could enjoy the day and it was perfection. At the end of the night Angela coordinated clean up, vendor exits etc. While the Statehouse may be a bit on the pricier end of venue, the beauty of the venue and the unparalleled experience of working with their staff was well worth it for us. We would recommend to anyone we know getting married in the Columbus, Ohio area.

We had our cocktail hour in the Rotunda and reception in the Atrium. Gives your guests two great room environments in one evening. I can't say one bad thing about our experience. The entire staff is amazing. Haley is their coordinator and she is nothing short of awesome. She made everything super easy. Every meeting was planned thoughtfully and always productive. She made sure she received everything from us a long the way so that we stayed on track. She connected with all of our vendors and made sure they knew everything they needed to know. On Friday we dropped everything off to her and by the time we arrived to the Statehouse on Saturday, she had delivered our vision. We had our ceremony a month earlier and wanted to show a highlight video. Haley and her team had a whole plan to have it play on 6 TVs around the room. It was perfect. We used Milos Catering for both the alcohol and food. The Statehouse and Milos work extremely well together so again, another seamless part of the planning. The rooms for the bridal parties to get ready in are very nice. There’s even a private restroom where the bride/bridesmaids get ready. A huge perk for those who have a big dress and don’t want to deal with the bathroom along with the invited guests. Our whole evening went perfect. We were able to enjoy ourselves with our guests the entire night. By the time we said good bye to the last guests, Haley and her team already had every item packed up on our carts to take down to our cars. After a very long day, the last thing you want to do is spend another hour or so packing stuff up. We didn’t have to do any of that. We got our cars to the loading dock, loaded, and left. It was so easy. I could go on about other great stuff, but I think I’ve made my point. You will be very thankful this is your venue when it’s all over with. I know we are! :)

She went above and beyond and exceeded all of our expectations with her excellent organization, communication, follow-up, and poise on our wedding day. She was a calming presence for us as the bride and groom, our families, wedding party, and all involved. Sophie, the Milo's catering staff, wedding vendors she recommended, and the Ohio Statehouse security officers were all amazing to help make our day run smoothly. The Ohio Statehouse is absolutely stunning and we are beyond happy we chose it as our wedding reception venue.

With all of the architecture, decorating really only needed to consist of lighting, flowers and table-scape to compliment how gorgeous the venue already is. Guests commented on its grandeur and enjoyed tours before cocktail hour. Sophie Chase was the best coordinator and took care of countless details on the day-of. She is a god-send.

are from Columbus, OH but currently live in Austin, TX. Needless to say, in the beginning of our planning process I was worried about planning an out of state wedding and concerned that my expectations would not be met. Sophie made all of my worries disappear and the Statehouse went above and FAR beyond my expectations for a venue. All of my guests kept saying how beautiful the Statehouse was and how perfect the amount of space was. We had cocktail hour in the breathtaking rotunda, dinner in the atrium with beautiful uplighting on the pillars, and cocktail tables set up on the back patio. With this venue, you really get everything (indoor and outdoor experience) and plenty of space! It was so elegant and classic yet very modern feel as well. I keep saying I wish I could relive that night...it was so magical and just a dream come true (Cliche, but so accurate). Sophie Chase is a rock star and I cannot thank her enough for everything she did for not only me but my family and friends as well! Beyond pleased with my experience. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

t the Statehouse) is incredible. We didn't need a wedding planner for our day because she was so helpful that we essentially would have hired someone to manager her, which did not make sense . She made sure everything was seamless, she was so responsive, and was able to help us with anything we needed leading up and on the big day. We were planning from afar, and she made it so easy to do so. The setting is beautiful. The stateroom where the girls and I got ready was so beautiful and rich in history - you have two littler personal bathrooms as well which really helps! My husband and the guys really loved the room they were in as well. We got so many compliments on how beautiful cocktail hour was in the Rotunda. Our wedding was black tie so the space was really conducive for that attire. The Atrium space for the reception was perfect as well. So much space and the ceilings are beautiful and let just the right amount of light in. Sophie helped us through so many different options for floor plan until we narrowed to the best one! We had a tuscan table going down the middle of the room with tables surrounding us and it felt like we were close to everyone which we loved. We also made use of the terrace outside the Atrium for a cigar roller. It was also a big hit with our guests! What's nice about the Statehouse is that it's centrally located. We had guests at the Renaissance and Sheraton - all less than a block walk from the reception. Our after part was a block away as well - it made transportation so easy (everyone just walked!). This venue is incredible and I could go on and on ... honestly - you will get five start treatment here!

other venues! It was also one of the most elegant venues I could find and there was so much space. I had a wedding of 250 and it did not feel crowded at all. The Statehouse comes with a wedding coordinator-- Sophie-- who is incredible! She handled everything from start to finish. I never had to worry about anything because Sophie was in constant contact with all my vendors making sure timing/pricing/and finalizations were all handled. She decorated the Statehouse the exact way I envisioned it would be-- it felt like a dream wedding! Also, she made sure everything flowed smoothly the entire night. By the end of the night, she had packed up all the decorations and centerpieces without me even noticing she was doing so because everyone else was busy dancing! I had so many people reach out to me the next day saying it was the most beautiful wedding they've been to. I would pick the Statehouse time and time again for my wedding venue.. highly recommend!!

So many of our guests have lived in Columbus their whole lives but had never been to the Statehouse, let alone to the Statehouse for a wedding! They offer tours to the guests which is a great way to keep them entertained between the ceremony and reception. The Statehouse wedding coordinator, Sophie, is truly an irreplaceable asset. She helped me every step of the way and was super accommodating with everything. Her warm and friendly personality, as well as reassuring and confident attitude, made me feel at ease that the day was going to go exactly as planned. She made sure that everything was organized before, during, and after the event and I could not imagine planning a wedding without her help. Having my wedding reception at the Ohio Statehouse made for a dream come true! It truly was all I could imagine and more!

She came to our meetings always prepared and eager to ensure that everything went according to the way it was supposed to flow. She was quick to respond back to emails (even when she was on vacation) and made awesome vendor recommendations. On the day, Sophie was like super woman. She ensured that we stuck to time and really helped us execute our traditional wedding so well, and was always there when I needed her. The best part was she always had a smile on her face and a positive spirit the whole night. It really helped ease any anxiety I may have had about the event. The statehouse was an absolutely gorgeous venue, and I would have my wedding there over and over again, especially Sophie is an integral part of the venue.
