Ohio University Inn

Everything involving the actual wedding was perfect! Everything was taken care of for me and I didn’t have to think about anything the day of! The ceremony was beautiful. Of course because of lovely Ohio weather, it did not go as planned, but it was better than I could have imagined! I’m secretly glad it rained, because the ceremony was so perfect inside! The wedding department is great here! My only complaint is that their seemed to be a lot of miscommunication between the front desk and the wedding department. They told my grandma the block was canceled a week before the wedding. I got three different answers as to why this had happened, before they said my grandma was confirming the wrong wedding. But my mom swears she called and got the same response too. I’m not entirely sure what happened there. Also, when I arrived to the hotel the day before my wedding, they couldn’t find me in the system for the bridal suite, despite looking under both my maiden name and my married name. After a few hours, someone in the wedding department informed me they weren’t able to find it because it was under Mr. and Mrs. Brenner. I wonder if maybe the person I talked to was just new? Either way, everything was resolved and turned out great in the end. If you decide to have your wedding here, just keep every document saved and have patience with every interaction. The people who work here are very polite and will work with you! Despite all the hiccups, I still feel this is a wonderful place to get married and the stressful parts were probably just a one time thing!

The OU inn was amazing!!! They worked to make sure every detail was just how we envisioned. Jillian was so helpful as we tried to plan the wedding from across the country. She answered all of our questions promptly which kept us worry free. Once we arrived to the inn they helped us to carry in all of the decorations and provided a spot to store everything. They set everything up and took everything down at the end of the night so that we could take time to enjoy the day and not worry. At the end of the night we even had Champagne and snacks waiting for us in our room. We could not have had a better experience!

The OU INN was more than accommodating for all of our needs during our stay with them. They even let us pass out guest gift bags during check in for our out of town guests. It was perfect! We even stayed for brunch on sunday and it was so good!
