My daughter held her wedding at Okemo Mountain Resort and it was spectacular! They were able to provide a whole wedding weekend for our guests that was seamless and timed perfectly despite many moving parts. We had a mountaintop ceremony followed by a cocktail hour also at the summit. Transportation was provided to and from Jackson Gore Inn where the reception was held and all our guests stayed. Having all our guests in one place made it extra special as both sides of the families got to spend lots of time together. Our coordinator, Kim Vezina, worked closely with all our vendors, ironed out the inevitable kinks that happen when planning a wedding, and helped bring our vision to life. The day was truly magical!
We got married at Okemo in late August 2024 at the summit and we were the first summit ceremony since 2019! The Okemo staff truly went above and beyond to make the experience memorable for us and our guests.
As a skier / outdoor enthusiast, a venue such as Okemo creates a truly remarkable experience from the summit ceremony overlooking the green mountain range to the Roundhouse Lodge that reminded everyone of the winter fun. The logistics around a summit ceremony can be quite complicated but the planning and effort put in by the Okemo staff was extremely thorough and professional. We also had the pleasure to work closely with Kim & Redmond who went out of their way to ensure every detail was executed smoothly.
The food was incredible, we first meet Chef Mark at our tasting, and he amazed us with the potential food pairings as well as his impressive culinary background. From cocktail hour until closure, the food & wait staff were extremely thorough from allergies/dietary restrictions to serving hot food in a timely manner - our guests were so impressed with the food quality and professionalism of the staff. We also had a chance to meet the bar manager William who helped us find the perfect wine to pair with our chosen food!
One great part of doing a wedding here is the ease with the on-site lodging, either at the Jackson Gore Inn or nearby Airbnbs, that all of our guest remarked as affordable & convenient. This made it super easy for us to host 150 guests.
During the planning process, we had a chance to learn about the town of Ludlow. From restaurants & bars to the town hall, we got to enjoy the charm and warmth of the beautiful town. Everyone was so kind and had so much pride being from a historic ski town.
Overall, we highly recommend future couples to have a summit ceremony here - not just for the pictures alone but for the overall experience!
Okemo is the perfect wedding destination. The team at Okemo worked with us to reschedule our 2020 wedding to 2021 with patience, flexibility, and kindness. The wedding day was glorious -- the weather perfect, the food divine, and the staff attentive. Many of our guests enjoyed the "Adventure Zone" before the wedding, and we heard from almost everyone just how perfect the venue was for a wedding weekend. We now feel like part of the Okemo family and will be visiting as often as we can.
Our overall experience with our wedding venue and coordinators at the Round Room was extremely positive. Our coordinators, Pamela and Lynn went above and beyond to ensure the reception was beautifully decorated and seamlessly executed. Pamela even made a special trip to decorate the center column with additional lights and brought in a beautiful bouquet for the front table. They were both very responsive to phone calls and email messages. They were also very accommodating, in that we were able to store all of the custom-made centerpieces in advance of the reception.
Our initial meeting with the chef was delightful. We had a great time working with him to customize our wedding day buffet menu, and all of the food we sampled during the tasting was delicious. We were confident that the reception food would be amazing, however we were very disappointed with the quality of the food on our wedding day. The food was a major part of the reception and also the most expensive aspect. The reception buffet quality was well below average, which was noted also by our family and friends in attendance. The meat was very “tough” and most of the vegetables were also undercooked. I cannot speak to the quality of the hors d’oeuvres as we were not present for the cocktail hour.
All of the staff present at the reception and at the Inn were very professional and helpful. Our accommodations were comfortable and enjoyable. Although I loved the location, I would be hard-pressed to hold another reception there considering the expense - and gamble that the food would somehow be better.
I couldn't be more pleased with my wedding at the Jackson Gore Inn at Okemo Mountain. Okemo is a special place for my entire family- I grew up skiing there and my fiance proposed right on the mountain! Working with Pam, Lynn, Chriis, and John was fantastic- I booked the venue 2 years in advance and got to know them quite well. They even honored the prices from when we booked 2 years earlier. We had one of the general managers (John) perform our ceremony- he was fantastic!!! He interviewed my husband and I so that our ceremony was personal-- people are still talking about how much they loved our ceremony.
I emailed Pam and Chriis almost weekly to check in on the details and they always responded promptly and with answers to my questions.
The chef was amazing. He met with us prior to our wedding for our tasting and helped us create a perfect menu that all of our guests enjoyed.
I am so glad that I choose Jackson Gore for my wedding.
My husband and I stayed at the Jackson Gore Inn, and this is where we offered hotel blocks for our guests as well.
Overall, the staff was easy to work with and available by phone or email when I had questions. The hotel itself is beautiful. We booked a 1 bedroom suite for several days before and after the wedding, and the extra living room came in handy when my groom and his groomsmen were getting ready for the wedding. There are many fun things to do on-site for guests.
The Jackson Gore Inn was very expensive for the area. I tried to get the majority of my guests to stay here, but most ended up booking elsewhere on their own to save money. This made organizing the shuttle a mess. The discount offered was minimal, and the okemo.com website actually offered a better rate than the wedding block discount. There was no discount offered for the bride and groom. The only offer was (I believe) 1 free room night for every 40 room nights booked by guests. Our wedding was small and we did not benefit from this offer.
Our wedding was off-site, but our rehearsal dinner was at the Coleman Brook Tavern on-site. The lobby bar has a wide selection but is also VERY expensive.
Okemo reserved a block of rooms for us and then allowed people to call and reserve them at a discounted rate (~$150/night). We loved that the guests could stay right at the reception site and there was no 2 night minimum stay! They also let family reserve rooms without paying up front which was great. It was easy to combine rooms to sleep large numbers of people and the penthouse was perfect for getting ready before the wedding.
A mountain setting was our vision for our wedding and Okemo mountain made our vision come true! We had our ceremony at the wedding garden, cocktail hour outside at the base of the mountain and the reception inside the Jackson Gore Inn. It was a perfect location and all of our guests were able to not only celebrate our wedding but were able to make it into a long weekend vacation too! Zip lining, hiking, swimming at the pool are only a few things that our guests were able to enjoy! The food was food delish and the employess treated us royally. If we could do it all over again we would just to capture the magic of that day over and over again :)
Having been to two other weddings at Jackson Gore, we knew this was where we wanted to get married. The location and accommodations are unmatched, while the service was subpar. We had a very difficult time getting in touch with the coordinators through out much of the process, and found that our questions often fell on deaf ears. While, we recognize that for people that conduct weddings as their job, this is a daily event, for the bride and the groom it is a once in a lifetime day and enthusiasm and attention to detail would have been appreciated.
If you are looking for an incredible Vermont resort set in the green mountains at a beautiful lodge this is the place for you, but keep in mind the service will not match the extraordinary view.
I had my wedding at Jackson Gore Inn. Pam and Lynn were amazing throughout the whole thing. They answered questions in a timely fashion. The Chef was great and created a menu for us that was amazing. We had to change the ceremony from the courtyard to under the archway last minute because of the weather and it was done seemlessly. An amazing day. Beautiful scenery and a wonderful day.
Our accomodations at Jackson Gore were amazing. The prices for our August wedding were very reasonable, and we were put up in a beaustiful 2 bedroom w/ loft suite! The staff was very accomodating, and they did a wonderful job at Willie Dunn's with our rehearsal dinner.
Our wedding ceremony and reception took place at Okemo Mountain's new Jackson Gore Resort. We wanted a place where we've made many fun memories with family and friends in years prior. In our Wedding Wish List, we desparately wanted: (1) an outdoor ceremony, (2) our processional coming down the mountain on a ski lift, and (3) beautiful autumn weather/scenes. Jackson Gore delivered on all three points. The ceremony, while in early October, was outside, on their lawn, at the bottom of the ski run, right outside our cocktail hour and reception locations, which made drunk driving a non-issue. Jackson Gore does numerous wedding processionals down the ski lift and, while it was super odd to our wedding guests, Jackson Gore has the ski lift down to a science and the whole thing resulted in zero casualties, even when high heels and grass are involved. Our main concern was good weather and views, which Jackson Gore was also able to produce. The mountain itself had the most colorful trees during peak autumn leaf times in the immediate area. Two days before the wedding, it was pouring rain, and 3 days after the wedding the area received a dusting of snow. However, on our wedding day, we had perfect weather and cloud-free skies. Thank you Jackson Gore!
excellent service and food. staff was very attentive and the food was excellent! no complaints from any guests, so that's a good wedding!
