I’m Justin Skalla, founder and lead cinematographer of Oklahoma Media. With over a decade of experience in high-end video production, I’ve dedicated my career to capturing stories that matter. Throughout the years, I’ve had the privilege of leading creative teams, managing large-scale productions, and collaborating with incredible clients across weddings, brands, and events.
For me, storytelling isn’t just a job. It’s a calling. I truly believe this business is something God has entrusted to me, and I strive to honor Him in every project I take on. Whether I’m filming a wedding, creating a promotional brand film, or documenting a once-in-a-lifetime event, my goal remains the same: to capture authentic moments that will stand the test of time and reflect the beauty and purpose found in every story.
Oklahoma Media came to life when my sister-in-law, Summer, who is a full-time photographer, prompted the idea to merge our talents and create a photo and video company. Over the years, Oklahoma Media’s videography side has grown and expanded in a big way. Both of our businesses have grown tremendously, each in its own direction. Today, Summer continues to run her photography business full-time, while I now run Oklahoma Media. From time to time, Summer and I still collaborate on projects, and I’m grateful for the role she played in helping me start this business.
Today, the business feels even more personal. I am happily married to my beautiful wife, Sydney. We got married in October of 2024, and she is now a vital part of Oklahoma Media. Sydney often joins me on projects, assisting with filming, organizing details, and making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Together, we approach every project with creativity, purpose, and a heart for serving others.
