Old Bethany Weddings and Events is a wedding venue based in Lorena, TX. This spacious barn combines elegance with rustic Southern charm. Peacefully situated on 100 acres of fields and oak groves, this light-filled barn is a beautiful space to celebrate love with those you care about. Just a few minutes from Interstate 35, Old Bethany Weddings and Events is right outside Waco, tucked between Lorena and Bruceville-Eddy. Owners Rachel and Luke Whyte dreamt for years of creating a beautiful wedding venue in Central Texas. Along with their friends Ben and Skylar Worley and Nate and Ali Sloan, they established the Old Bethany Weddings and Events in 2016. Rachel had previously worked as a wedding photographer, and professional attention to beauty is evident in this sophisticated space. The spacious 6,500-square-foot white barn nestles within a grove of oak trees. High ceilings and plentiful windows help flood the barn with natural light, and its elegant-yet-versatile interior allows you to personalize the space to meet your vision for your wedding day.
The venue accommodates both ceremonies and receptions. With a range of ceremony locations, you can choose to say "I do" in the barn, out in the picturesque fields, or among the trees. Your guests can relax on the covered porch or dance the evening away under fairy lights on the lush lawn. The 3,600-square-foot assembly room and the venue's 350 chairs and 35 tables ensure plenty of space for all of your loved ones. The barn has everything you need for a beautiful wedding day, from get-ready rooms for you and your partner to a fully equipped prep kitchen and all modern amenities. Venue hire includes all-day access to the barn, allowing you to enjoy the celebrations from morning until midnight. The venue coordinator ensures that everything runs smoothly, and a security guard can be present for your peace of mind. Old Bethany Weddings and Events provides accommodation close to the venue, with various residences to suit your needs.

Well for starters the place itself is fabulous , but the coordinator we had was awful .. we had to hunt for her every-time we had something that needed done … she assured us that s...
he would take care of things ( making sure food was placed in warming ovens and set up from restaurant was done correctly ) well needless to say it was a disaster …and we had cold food and a full blown table with aluminum pans full of refill food set up on a table as you started to go through the self serve line … cups for tea , the cheeses for pastas , all the silverware packs along with towelette and after dinner mints she shoved under a table and we did not even know they were there till well after the wedding was over … the coordinator was so bad the bar tender had to do runs to get ice and other things herself … …. that the coordinator said she would make sure were done … we paid extra for her and she was not worth a single penny … she was late to rehearsal too … and was no help at all ….. when you pay extra for a person to make sure that things go accordingly then you should get the service …. We will tell everyone out experience and most of the guest saw and gasped at the food set up …. So they saw first hand what Old Bethany’s Coordinators do as far as what they promised they would … we should have gotten our money back for what it cost her to even be there …. The doors were never opened as we were told they would be … we had to call and txt her to open the place for us on the rehersal day …. Same for wedding day … had to beg her to finish supplying table cloths for all of our tables ( and we ordered the right amount … she failed to supply the right size for all the tables … so we had to make shift ) had to have grooms men and brides maids put the table clothes on outside tables … after the coordinator went and put them folded on a few but did not open them up and place them like they should have been …. I could list all day but it isn’t worth it …. The building is beautiful so if you need a place to host a weddi g or something special by all means reserve and overpay …. But DO NOT COUNT ON THE SMALL OLIVE COMPLECTION CORDINATOR TO DO ANY OF YHE THI GS THAT YOU WILL PAY FOR ….. because she will not do them
…. She never even followed up with our vendors like she was suppose too … thank goodness we were on top of all that ….
Before you book and pay make sure to ask vendors that have worked events there …what the coordinator does or is supose to do to help make things go smoothly chances are you will find that the coordinator is a total
Waste of money … oh they will sale a good speech to you but beware … if it’s too good to be true remember that it is !!!!

We were able to have our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in this space, which was so ideal! It's a very versatile venue in a beautiful space. Would 100% recommend Old Bethany to anyone getting married in the Waco area!! You won't find a better venue!!

ding day, they communicated with us often and made sure to be prepared for the day of. On the wedding day, things were not set up and the floors hadn’t been cleaned due to the service that they use not being ready, but they went ABOVE & BEYOND making sure everything was ready for us and worked hard to get it ready while we were decorating and everything. I am so grateful for them and their hard work. This is the most beautiful wedding venue ever! I can’t wait to share photos from it!!! (Also, having a shower for the guys in their getting ready room is 100% a win!!)

rs, bar, DJ, cake, dance floor etc. The bride and groom quarters are very spacious and set up well. From the first day we visited the staff has been helpful, giving advice and answering all of our questions. They helped to offer us the best prices like paying all up front and saved 10%. I would recommend using their wedding coordinator services to help the day of. We didn't and it made it hard to keep up with everything. We are very happy with our experience at Old Bethany and would highly recommend to anyone.

f, and you have three options for where to have a ceremony. The staff at OB made everything so seamless, and easy and my fiance/ I could not have had such a great day without them. The Day of Coordinator was so helpful, in addition to on top of her game and kept the ceremony/ reception running like a well-oiled machine. I cannot say enough positives about Old Bethany, and will recommend this to anyone who asks!!

the barn and grounds were! The patio was perfect for guests to take pictures, snack, and play yard games while we flipped the inside of the barn from the ceremony set-up to be reception ready. The staff were quick communicators and helpful in accommodating our different vendors, and making our dream wedding a reality. The location was perfect for us- not far from Austin (where we live), a little outside of Waco (where we went to school) and close to airports for guests coming from out of town. If we had to do it again, we would 100% get married at Old Bethany again!
