We had our wedding at the Old Courthouse Museum on August 7th, 2021. The event coordinator Stacie is amazing to work with! She always answered all of my questions quickly and didn'...
t mind the million emails I sent to her. The venue itself is wonderful and was so beautiful the day of our wedding! the staff was very accommodating and easy to work with. I would highly recommend this venue if you are looking for a vintage and beautiful place to host your guests!!
Beautiful venue! I loved the option to find our own caterer and bartender. We were able to bring in our own snacks for the tables and all of our own beer and wine. Perfect spot for...
a small to mid-size wedding.
Extremely friendly, knowledgeable staff. Staci, the wedding events coordinator, is phenominal. Beautiful venue for a smaller wedding (up to 200). Wedding photos in the courtyard an...
d inside (many staircases that look great) turn out beautifully. If you ever have any questions or concerns, they always respond quickly.
Couldn't recommend it more. PLUS it was one of the cheaper places. Very accommodating and helpful with all wedding questions ranging from caterer recommends, bar ideas, etc. Literally ask Staci anything wedding related and she will either know or quickly find out for you.
We absolutely loved our wedding at the Old Courthouse Museum! We had the ceremony in the outdoor plaza. It was beautiful and the perfect size for our 130 guests. It was also so rea...
ssuring to know that we had several back-up plans if it rained. We had our reception at the museum as well, and I thought it was such a cool touch that guests were allowed to walk through the exhibits all night. Yes, there are a lot of restrictions (the no real candles rule in particular is kind of a bummer), but I completely understand wanting to preserve the building. Staci is easy to work with and always answered our questions in a timely manner. I especially appreciated her willingness to work with us extra closely in the few weeks leading up to the wedding. The Old Courthouse Museum is a gorgeous space with tons of character, and I would highly recommend it for any couple looking for something a little different!
Beautiful place! Easy to work with! Gave our reception the perfect atmosphere!!
The Old Courthouse Museum is a beautiful place to have your wedding/ reception. I had my reception here and the staff was Wonderful! They set up all the tables before hand and help...
ed us move them before the dance. I thought it was pretty neat that they keep the exhibits open for your guests for the night as well. Only things I was disappointed by was- No Candles, no hanging things from the walls/lights, no fog machines, no balloons, and bad acoustics. Granted they do have very good reason for all of these things, but just a pain in the butt since that is a good chunk of wedding decor. Other than that it was great! Also a note- they were one of the cheaper places in Sioux Falls!
We absolutely loved the Old Courthouse Museum for our 150-guest wedding. It was very affordable and the coordinator (Tracy) was super helpful. There's a large room that seats 160 p...
eople, and another room across the hall if you have more. It's such a beautiful historic building with lots of big windows and natural lighting, so it's a great place to take wedding photos too! And with it's large clock tower and downtown location, it's easy for everyone to find. Our guests loved it!
The Old Courthouse Museum was absolutely beautiful. The people there were very helpful to work with. The courtroom is great. There is no need to decorate because of the painted wal...

We absolutely loved holding our wedding reception here. The entire way from looking and booking to the day of, Tracy was awesome. She was so friendly and excited for us and very ...
very helpful. Whenever we had questions, she responded right away. The room itself is gorgeous. Hardly needs any decorating, because it's beautiful by itself. We took pictures outside in the courtyard and all around the building - which made for lovely photos. Also, you can take pictures from the balcony upstairs. I am so glad we chose the Old Courthouse Museum for our wedding!
I loved working with Tracy and her staff at the Old Courthouse Museum. They were helpful, knowledgeable, and the price was excellent. My guests all commented on how grand the pla...

I recently attended a wedding at the Old Courthouse Museum and was struck by the beauty of the room (and venue) itself. The couple hardly needed to decorate!
Very unique...did not need a lot of decorations because it is already pretty.
