We cannot thank Jen, Julie and the entire team at Old Hickory enough for making our wedding day absolutely perfect! We couldn’t be happier that we got married at Old Hickory and can’t recommend enough for a venue!

set up and where we wanted decor, timing, etc. On my wedding day, I had very little stress, as I knew everything had been handled. We got married outside in the trees, not far from the clubhouse. It was such a gorgeous ceremony location, our guests are still talking about how beautiful it was (and half of them live in California!). Even the cocktail hour was gorgeous since it was on the veranda, and it gave guests a beautiful view of the sunset and lake. It was the best day of our lives, and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out.

everything would go smoothly the day of. Julie and her team set up all the decorations that I had provided and I was able to view the reception room beforehand. I had some feedback and they fixed what I wanted immediately. The food there was wonderful for dinner! We chose the ceremony site under the trees which was a beautiful spot for June. Definitely recommend getting married at Old Hickory!

meal for our reception and it was amazing! Everyone I spoke to RAVED about the food and how great it was - especially the steak and how it wasn't overcooked. The staff was quick with delivering plates to everyone and always kept the water glasses filled. Once the guests were finished, the staff was there to take their plates and not leave them on the tables. The staff was also great with cleanup! They helped differentiate my decor, other vendors, and Old Hickory's items and boxed them up neatly for me. I could not recommend Old Hickory, Jen, and the staff more for any wedding, reception, or party needs!

d take 5+ days to get a response from her. We knew we had to hit a food & beverage minimum for our wedding and we thought we hit it because we paid $6k over the min., but in our final detailed phone call Jen informed us that we had not hit our min by $4k. When I asked when that was due she said, “In a week, so you have time”. Because this was right before the wedding we upgraded our bar package to premium and added 3 appetizers. If Jen would of told us in advance that we weren’t projected to hit our min I would have invited more guests instead. She knew from the beginning that we were anticipating 125 guest and we ended up having 130. Also, she forgot to charge us for the napkin upgrades so when I thought everything was paid she told me I needed to bring a check for $75. We were disappointed when we were supposed to have our rehearsal dinner in the wine cellar room & when we went down to that room it was setup for another persons event. So we had our rehearsal dinner in the same type of room that we were having our reception. We wanted a different scenery for the days. We also got the wrong salads for the dinner which isn’t a huge deal but still frustrating My husband and I also thought we were going to have our own dressing rooms, but the day of I was informed us girls would be in the locker room and the boys later got kicked out of the boardroom to the locker room because of another wedding party. That same wedding party ended up walking through our private entrance all night taking our premium alcohol, and eating our appetizers. One of our guests told them that they can’t do that and it started an argument. Our actual ceremony started around 4:50 instead of 4:30 so we ended up being restricted with time taking pictures. I’m not sure if it was taking Julie longer to line everyone up or what the situation was, but the entire processional party was there. Overall our wedding was great, but there were some things that could have been handled better. The food was great, our outside ceremony was beautiful, and the wait staff was kind

iful. Our room also connected to a covered porch, so guests were able to utilize the indoor and outdoor space. The food was incredible, and all of our guests enjoyed their meals. The staff was extremely attentive and did a great job keeping the reception running smoothly. I would highly recommend Old Hickory to anyone looking for a wedding reception or other event venue!

She was timely and well organized. She was so patient with everything, including my mom asking a thousand questions at every meeting or every biweekly email:). As most brides know, there is a big chance that something will go wrong on the big day, whether it's the weather, a spilt drink, etc., but nothing and I mean NOTHING went wrong on our big day. I could chalk that up to luck, but I truly believe it was because of Jen and her crew. They made sure everyone was where they were suppose to be and at the right time. I truly did not have to lift a finger or worry about ANYTHING. Not only did they have a true sense of organization and professionalism, but Jen and her crew were so fun and easy to work with. They have to be the friendliest venue in St. Charles County. Also, if you are worried about food, you need to pick this venue. We decided to do stations instead of a traditional buffet style dinner and it did not disappoint! We had everything from a nacho/taco bar to spicy chicken sliders and french fries! More so, my husband, my mom and I are both picky about our drinks, and they made sure to have our specific kind of alcohol behind the bar. It really doesn't get much better than that! If you are looking for a venue where you truly enjoy your whole wedding day, the food is spectacular, you have an incredible wedding planner with the friendliest staff, and a guaranteed amazing time, then Old Hickory is a must.

ove and beyond duty helping us load and unload items from vehicles, answering questions, directing guests etc. The ceremony was outside at the grove in November, so you can imagine a little stress due to the weather, but Jen had the contingency plan, in case of bad weather, all laid out. Jen and her staff coordinated deliveries with all out outside vendors, cake, cookies, florist etc. We were able to take all the items we needed the day of the wedding to the venue a couple days in advance. So, the guest books, attendance favors etc. for the reception we gave to Jen and they set everything up. We were also able to take items to the bridal party rooms that may be needed, i.e. steamers, go bags etc. Having the bridal party rooms at the venue where the girls could get hair and makeup done , get dressed and just all be together was especially nice. The guys had their own area also, could play pool etc. I can't say enough about how great Jen and her entire staff was, from the guys at the golf pro shop getting a cart to get the coolers into the bridal rooms, to staff driving corsages from where corsages were delivered down to the ceremony, they helped with all the little details that can be quite overwhelming the day of the wedding. The wait staff, the bartenders and everyone at Old Hickory were extremely professional and helpful. The food was excellent and everyone had a great time. I would highly recommend Old Hickory to everyone looking to plan a large event.

ey could do, but everything was perfect. Staff was incredibly attentive and professional. The food was AMAZING. To top it all off, a groomsman split the seam in his tuxedo pants at the start of the reception, and a bartender overheard my dilemma, and after finding he was similar in size to the groomsman in question, offered to loan his pants to our groomsman and changed into something else to continue bartending. This SAVED the night, and was so far above and beyond what was expected, let's just say that Old Hickory has a customer for life. There is honestly nothing that they could have done differently or better. Top notch class act all the way. Highly, highly recommend. We have heard so many comments from our guests that this was one of the best receptions that they have ever attended. I am so happy that we chose Old Hickory. We have nothing but perfect memories of this night.

We had so many odd questions that came up during our 1.5 year engagement, and she was always so positive and communicative that it made the planning process as much of a breeze as it could be. We have a ton of married friends who told us leading up to the wedding that we would feel somewhat sad that it was over the following day, but that is not the case with us. We had the perfect wedding and we are so so so incredibly thankful to Old Hickory for making it possible. The food, bar service, and staff coupled with the beautiful event space and golf course made for the most incredible day. Can't wait for the next event that we get to attend at Old Hickory. extremely helpful! Old Hickory has decorations you can use and it helped SO much! The ceremony and reception were beautiful! I can’t recommend getting married there enough. I’m so excited to get our pictures. It’s a beautiful venue!
