Old Lyme Inn

We originally met with the Old Lyme Inn last fall and absolutely fell in love with the outdoor space. Even though it was the first place we looked at in person, we knew it was the one for us. Within a month of us booking, we were refused a contract until "we were closer to our wedding date", were not given a straight answer on anything, waited weeks for a response, was denied planning any sort of menu until month before our actual wedding (we were less than a year out) and when we tried to schedule a phone meeting, we were placed on hold for over 45 mins by their event coordinator only to be told that they thought we were coming in for a tasting and were mad that they were holding a table for us and we weren't coming (we live almost 2 hours away!) needless to say, we eventually fired them as our venue and found a place even more perfect. Please dont fall into the same trap we did, this was the worst experience of our entire wedding planning (more than covid).
