If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!! I was recommended (as a planner) to Old North by another planner friend for a W Citycenter wedding on 9.23.23. My experience from the beginning to the end was fantastic- and I am definitely putting Old North at the top of my referral list, and I haven't even seen footage yet! John (lead shooter) and Nico were so attentive, creative, and fluid with a jam-packed day, wardrobe changes, special requested shoots- and they did it all with grace and enthusiasm! I immediately trusted they got the "vibe" of the couple's vision and was impressed with the drone usage too. Can't wait to see the final product!

I would highly recommend hiring Old North Film Company for your wedding! We were blown away by the cinematic video they put together for us. It was absolutely AMAZING. It was everything I hoped for in our wedding video and MORE. The day was captured so beautifully. They got many different camera shots (including drone footage), the music is wonderful, and they did a fantastic job adding speech voiceovers to the video. The cinematography of the video is entirely beautiful. It has been so special to watch and share with friends and family. Many got emotional watching it, including me and I don’t get emotional easily! One of the aspects I liked about the video is that it wasn’t cheesy. Sometimes you watch cinematic wedding videos that aren’t well done. Old North Film Company did an incredible job putting together a truly breathtaking video. Ahead of the wedding day we filled out a questionnaire and spoke with our lead videographer, Caleb. Through the questionnaire and speaking with Caleb we were able to share our vision for what we wanted captured and what we hoped the cinematic video would be like. There was an example video on their website that we really liked so we said we would like a video that had a similar style. Old North hit our vision out of the ballpark and even exceeded expectations. Throughout the whole process, Old North was great to work with. The day of the wedding we had our lead videographer and also an assistant. They both did an excellent job. For our end product we received a 9 minute cinematic video, the full ceremony, all of the speeches, and all of the dances (father/daughter, mother/groom, and the first dance.) Old North Film Company will allow us to relive our wedding day for the rest of our lives and we are so grateful for the job they did capturing one of the best days of our lives. You will not be disappointed hiring them for your wedding!

James and his partner from Old North Film Co were absolutely wonderful to work with! We were so happy with choosing Old North Film Co to capture our day and had a great experience. They were organized, efficient, and stayed on time (even came early) given all time restrictions while managing to capture every person and moment we hoped to get! They were professional and worked well with our Catholic church and were respectful of the rules of the church which can be difficult at times. They made us feel so comfortable and got authentic moments of us as well as quality “posed” moments. I loved when Jason got a "good shot" he was excited for us and showed us some cool clips he got in the moment which made me feel so confident they got great footage. They both blended in well with the crowd while dancing and didn’t take us away from enjoying our experience with friends and family. They were very communicative and we cannot wait to see the end product!Their pricing is fair to the professional standard and reflects what we received in terms of pictures and overall experience. I will be recommending Old North Film Co to all my friends and family!

They made an amazing film and you didn't even notice their presence. They got great shots while not being a distraction at the wedding and being in the way. Our main shooter was great! We also had a second shooter who was not always the most "professional," as they sat in the grooms suite on the couch on his phone while the guys were in there. Other than that everything was great! They quickly turned over the film faster than anticipated. Great video!

Old North absolutely killed it on our wedding video! Both, my husband and I started tearing up watching it. They have captured our hearts and you will not regret their professionalism, and they were SO fast to get us our teaser & then our footage. PS; get the drone, it was so fun to do those shots!!! When I think about where to begin, I struggle with the right words to adequately express my gratitude and appreciation for this amazing company. Deciding to hire a video production service/ videographer to capture our wedding was a really important decision for us. As the bride, I researched what felt like hundreds of companies to view their work, and find what I was looking for. As soon as I watched a few examples of Old North’s work, I knew I had found the company I wanted to work with. During our consultation meeting, I spoke with Alex, who immediately eased my fears, and took detailed notes about things we knew we wanted. We were happy to find all the packages were completely customizable, so there is likely something for everyone’s budget. Come wedding day, we had the pleasure of working with with both Jesse and John. Jesse was with me(the bridal party) and John stayed with the men. It was amazing seeing them work together, and alongside our photographer. They really are experts at their craft and ensuring they aren’t getting each other's way, and really just were an enjoyable part of the day. My photographer also mentioned that they were extremely professional and were some of the best she has seen in her 15 years of wedding photography. The only, very minimal, but very understandable disappointment was the wait time to receive your wedding video footage. It was right on time with the projected wait time they told us(2-3 months) but it did feel like an eternity when you just want to see it all right away. However, it was beyond worth the wait. Every part of our package is perfect. Our cinematic video made me laugh, and cry. Our families and friends have been in awe of it. We love all of our extra footage, and small moments that were captured too. The video editing team brought my dreams to life. We also worked with David after we received the video package. He was so kind and patient as he ensured we had everything we had hoped for. All in all, I cannot recommend them enough. Each person we worked with is an expert in their area of expertise for the company. Their work speaks for themselves and I encourage all future brides and grooms to consider them.

Old North did an amazing job capturing such beautiful, candid, fun, emotionally-filled moments and packaged it all together into a beautiful film that I can easily say displays our favorite memories from the night. We interviewed with a few different companies, but Old North was an easy pick! We had a few calls discussing things that were important to us to be captured throughout the day, and it was obvious they listened because everything we discussed was beautifully put together in the video. They worked so well with our photographers as well which made the day so much easier in the hustle of getting photos done. We loved our video so much (originally got the 5 minute video) that I asked for them to make the longer feature-which they did and the turn around time was so quick. No question to go with Old North- communication is quick, concise, and the work they did was amazing- best decision from the big day- and get the longest video-you will not regret it!

Old North is the real deal, our day in the great care of our fearless leader Caleb and his team Daniel and Blake. We were blown away by both the end product and experience on the day-of; they were professional, conscientious, laid-back, and fun to spend time with; we didn’t have a wedding party, but after a few hours of filming, we had bonded in a way that didn’t even remotely feel like “cameras-in-our faces.” In between actual storm sessions raging outside (!), Caleb even went out of his way to capture drone footage of gorgeous Lake Michigan across from our wedding venue! Given that my husband’s family is overseas and wasn’t able to attend, we wanted a superior-quality production team capturing the day so that we could share our day with his family in as joyful and present a way as possible. What at first felt like might just be a pipe dream/indulgent splurge for our wedding budget truly turned out to be a deep, significant necessity for larger reasons than just for our own enjoyment: it’s the closest we could get to having his family be present for our big day, and a way for both families to cherish these memories for a lifetime. So many moments on a wedding day begin and end on that day, but film is forever. This turned out to be the most important part of our budget, and we cannot recommend working with Old North enough!

My husband Charlie and I booked Old North Film Company for our wedding in downtown Chicago in late April of 2022. They were a pleasure to work with and we are blown away by our wedding video!! Caleb was the lead videographer on our big day - he was super friendly, laid back and had a good sense of humor. He made us both feel comfortable right away. Even when we spoke to him on the phone a few weeks beforehand, we could tell we were in good hands with someone who has creative vision. Also, at our reception we were running behind and our band got started a half hour late - Caleb even stayed later to make sure he captured some of the dancing. What amazing customer service! We can't thank him enough. We also communicated with Alex and David on some of the logistics stuff - they were easy to work with and made the process as simple as possible. Finally, the video itself is everything we could have dreamed of and more! My husband and I are TV broadcasters so we were really picky about our videographer as we both have training in production/film. The shots were beautiful, well composed, captured the moment, and the editing tied it all together, seamlessly weaving in speeches and the music. You need to book Old North Film Company now - you won't be disappointed!

Old North Film Company was recommended to me by my floral and wedding designer. I trusted their opinion, and boy did we hit the jackpot! We were looking for high quality at a reasonable price, and we found that and SO much more with them. They are responsive, they are personable, they take the time to understand what's important to you, they were punctual, very professional, and very kind and light-hearted. They captured EVERY important moment. The finished product is better than anything we could've DREAMED of, and I'm not always the easiest audience! It is so creative, so thoughtful, so special. We still tear up every time we watch our video! I would recommend them to anyone and would use them again and again.

Absolutely in awwwe with the highlight video we received from them for our wedding video! It is everything I imagined it would be and more! The quality is amazing which is something I searched long and hard for; quality, a drone, and a company that created highlight videos. Alex from Old North Film Company was very easy to work with. I initially planned a wedding at a venue and had to unexpectedly change my location to my house. Alex was very flexible, approachable, courteous and did a wonderful job. She promptly finished the video editing and the short film within a few days and made it available for me. They had the option of a live ceremony feed which my family and friends appreciated and viewed who could not attend. They were very affordable to use as well. We appreciate them making lasting memories for us and making the experience memorable. I highly recommend them!

We just got our wedding feature, and I am BLOWN AWAY. My fiance was on the fence about hiring a videographer, but I persuaded him that we should. Caleb and his team were perfectly lovely on the day, but I just now saw what they put together, and it is exceptional. So artistic. So beautiful. They captured the day perfectly. We decided at the last minute to add a videographer for our wedding and thank goodness Old North was available. From the moment we started working with them- they were friendly, easy to work with, and just as excited as we were. Caleb was our videographer and we loved working with him the day of! He helped us feel natural in front of the camera yet also did not interrupt our day from actually happening. We never felt like we had an overwhelming amount of paparazzi all day :) When he sent the video, we had no idea what to expect but it blew our expectations out of the water! Not a dry eye in the house. It is our favorite thing to remind us of how the day really FELT rather than just how it looked in pictures. I could not recommend them more!

Beyond Expected! Randomly found them on the knot. Watched a couple of their videos and was hooked. When it came to choosing a videographer we were so out of our element. We wanted someone to capture the day exactly how we remembered it. My husband and I are so awkward in front of the camera so we were especially nervous on how our video was going to turn out. FORGET THAT. Lara was amazing. Legit never asked us to do anything awkward or uncomfortable. The video was exactly what we remembered our day to be and more. We are so lucky to have found Old North Film Company. They worked with us and our very large (26 person) wedding party during 4th of July weekend in Chicago. We had crazy requests and they were all accomplished. (They were so kind to make edits on parts of the feature that I felt I did not look my best) They made us feel extremely comfortable and really felt like we could tell them exactly what we wanted. Our family is obsessed and friends are now wanting to use the same company. I would recommend using them, we did "the feature" package and it was 100% worth it.
