Old North was an amazing company to work with for our wedding. Our main videographer Carlos was extremely helpful, kind, and easygoing. During our ceremony and reception, we didn’t even realize we were being filmed most of the time! We recently received our finished films (wayyyy ahead of their estimated finishing time) and we were blown away. We are so happy we chose Old North to capture these memories which we can now cherish forever. Thank you!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!! I was recommended (as a planner) to Old North by another planner friend for a W Citycenter wedding on 9.23.23. My experience from the beginning to the end was fantastic- and I am definitely putting Old North at the top of my referral list, and I haven't even seen footage yet! John (lead shooter) and Nico were so attentive, creative, and fluid with a jam-packed day, wardrobe changes, special requested shoots- and they did it all with grace and enthusiasm! I immediately trusted they got the "vibe" of the couple's vision and was impressed with the drone usage too. Can't wait to see the final product!

I would highly recommend hiring Old North Film Company for your wedding! We were blown away by the cinematic video they put together for us. It was absolutely AMAZING. It was everything I hoped for in our wedding video and MORE. The day was captured so beautifully. They got many different camera shots (including drone footage), the music is wonderful, and they did a fantastic job adding speech voiceovers to the video. The cinematography of the video is entirely beautiful. It has been so special to watch and share with friends and family. Many got emotional watching it, including me and I don’t get emotional easily! One of the aspects I liked about the video is that it wasn’t cheesy. Sometimes you watch cinematic wedding videos that aren’t well done. Old North Film Company did an incredible job putting together a truly breathtaking video. Ahead of the wedding day we filled out a questionnaire and spoke with our lead videographer, Caleb. Through the questionnaire and speaking with Caleb we were able to share our vision for what we wanted captured and what we hoped the cinematic video would be like. There was an example video on their website that we really liked so we said we would like a video that had a similar style. Old North hit our vision out of the ballpark and even exceeded expectations. Throughout the whole process, Old North was great to work with. The day of the wedding we had our lead videographer and also an assistant. They both did an excellent job. For our end product we received a 9 minute cinematic video, the full ceremony, all of the speeches, and all of the dances (father/daughter, mother/groom, and the first dance.) Old North Film Company will allow us to relive our wedding day for the rest of our lives and we are so grateful for the job they did capturing one of the best days of our lives. You will not be disappointed hiring them for your wedding!

James and his partner from Old North Film Co were absolutely wonderful to work with! We were so happy with choosing Old North Film Co to capture our day and had a great experience. They were organized, efficient, and stayed on time (even came early) given all time restrictions while managing to capture every person and moment we hoped to get! They were professional and worked well with our Catholic church and were respectful of the rules of the church which can be difficult at times. They made us feel so comfortable and got authentic moments of us as well as quality “posed” moments. I loved when Jason got a "good shot" he was excited for us and showed us some cool clips he got in the moment which made me feel so confident they got great footage. My husband and I hired Old North Film Company for our wedding day last year and it turned out to be one of our best decisions! The videographer and his assistant were so flexible with starting at the time that best suited us to make sure to capture the perfect parts of our day and get the most out of our package. They made an amazing film and you didn't even notice their presence. They got great shots while not being a distraction at the wedding and being in the way. Our main shooter was great! We also had a second shooter who was not always the most "professional," as they sat in the grooms suite on the couch on his phone while the guys were in there. Other than that everything was great! They quickly turned over the film faster than anticipated. Great video!

Old North absolutely killed it on our wedding video! Both, my husband and I started tearing up watching it. They captured our special day perfectly and gave us something we can cherish and re-watch for years to come. They have captured our hearts and you will not regret their professionalism, and they were SO fast to get us our teaser & then our footage. PS; get the drone, it was so fun to do those shots!!! When I think about where to begin, I struggle with the right words to adequately express my gratitude and appreciation for this amazing company. Deciding to hire a video production service/ videographer to capture our wedding was a really important decision for us. As the bride, I researched what felt like hundreds of companies to view their work, and find what I was looking for. As soon as I watched a few examples of Old North’s work, I knew I had found the company I wanted to work with. During our consultation meeting, I spoke with Alex, who immediately eased my fears, and took detailed notes about things we knew we wanted. We were happy to find all the packages were completely customizable, so there is likely something for everyone’s budget. Come wedding day, we had the pleasure of working with with both Jesse and John. Jesse was with me(the bridal party) and John stayed with the men. It was amazing seeing them work together, and alongside our photographer. They really are experts at their craft and ensuring they aren’t getting each other's way, and really just were an enjoyable part of the day. My photographer also mentioned that they were extremely professional and were some of the best she has seen in her 15 years of wedding photography. The only, very minimal, but very understandable disappointment was the wait time to receive your wedding video footage. It was right on time with the projected wait time they told us(2-3 months) but it did feel like an eternity when you just want to see it all right away. However, it was beyond worth the wait. Every part of our package is perfect. Our cinematic video made me laugh, and cry. Our families and friends have been in awe of it. We love all of our extra footage, and small moments that were captured too. The video editing team brought my dreams to life. We also worked with David after we received the video package. He was so kind and patient as he ensured we had everything we had hoped for. All in all, I cannot recommend them enough. Each person we worked with is an expert in their area of expertise for the company. Their work speaks for themselves and I encourage all future brides and grooms to consider them.

Old North did an amazing job capturing such beautiful, candid, fun, emotionally-filled moments and packaged it all together into a beautiful film that I can easily say displays our favorite memories from the night. We interviewed with a few different companies, but Old North was an easy pick! We had a few calls discussing things that were important to us to be captured throughout the day, and it was obvious they listened because everything we discussed was beautifully put together in the video. They worked so well with our photographers as well which made the day so much easier in the hustle of getting photos done. We loved our video so much (originally got the 5 minute video) that I asked for them to make the longer feature-which they did and the turn around time was so quick. No question to go with Old North- communication is quick, concise, and the work they did was amazing- best decision from the big day- and get the longest video-you will not regret it!

Old North is the real deal, our day in the great care of our fearless leader Caleb and his team Daniel and Blake. We were blown away by both the end product and experience on the day-of; they were professional, conscientious, laid-back, and fun to spend time with; we didn’t have a wedding party, but after a few hours of filming, we had bonded in a way that didn’t even remotely feel like “cameras-in-our faces.” In between actual storm sessions raging outside (!), Caleb even went out of his way to capture drone footage of gorgeous Lake Michigan across from our wedding venue! Given that my husband’s family is overseas and wasn’t able to attend, we wanted a superior-quality production team capturing the day so that we could share our day with his family in as joyful and present a way as possible. What at first felt like might just be a pipe dream/indulgent splurge for our wedding budget truly turned out to be a deep, significant necessity for larger reasons than just for our own enjoyment: it’s the closest we could get to having his family be present for our big day, and a way for both families to cherish these memories for a lifetime. So many moments on a wedding day begin and end on that day, but film is forever. This turned out to be the most important part of our budget, and we cannot recommend working with Old North enough!

My husband Charlie and I booked Old North Film Company for our wedding in downtown Chicago in late April of 2022. They were a pleasure to work with and we are blown away by our wedding video!! Caleb was the lead videographer on our big day - he was super friendly, laid back and had a good sense of humor. He made us both feel comfortable right away. Even when we spoke to him on the phone a few weeks beforehand, we could tell we were in good hands with someone who has creative vision. Also, at our reception we were running behind and our band got started a half hour late - Caleb even stayed later to make sure he captured some of the dancing. What amazing customer service! We can't thank him enough. We also communicated with Alex and David on some of the logistics stuff - they were easy to work with and made the process as simple as possible. Finally, the video itself is everything we could have dreamed of and more! My husband and I are TV broadcasters so we were really picky about our videographer as we both have training in production/film. The shots were beautiful, well composed, captured the moment, and the editing tied it all together, seamlessly weaving in speeches and the music. You need to book Old North Film Company now - you won't be disappointed!

Old North Film Company was recommended to me by my floral and wedding designer. I trusted their opinion, and boy did we hit the jackpot! We were looking for high quality at a reasonable price, and we found that and SO much more with them. They are responsive, they are personable, they take the time to understand what's important to you, they were punctual, very professional, and very kind and light-hearted. They captured EVERY important moment. The finished product is better than anything we could've DREAMED of, and I'm not always the easiest audience! It is so creative, so thoughtful, so special. The quality is amazing which is something I searched long and hard for; quality, a drone, and a company that created highlight videos. Alex from Old North Film Company was very easy to work with. I initially planned a wedding at a venue and had to unexpectedly change my location to my house. Alex was very flexible, approachable, courteous and did a wonderful job. She promptly finished the video editing and the short film within a few days and made it available for me. They had the option of a live ceremony feed which my family and friends appreciated and viewed who could not attend. They were very affordable to use as well. We appreciate them making lasting memories for us and making the experience memorable. I highly recommend them!

We just got our wedding feature, and I am BLOWN AWAY. My fiance was on the fence about hiring a videographer, but I persuaded him that we should. Caleb and his team were perfectly lovely on the day, but I just now saw what they put together, and it is exceptional. So artistic. So beautiful. They captured the day perfectly. We decided at the last minute to add a videographer for our wedding and thank goodness Old North was available. From the moment we started working with them- they were friendly, easy to work with, and just as excited as we were. Caleb was our videographer and we loved working with him the day of! He helped us feel natural in front of the camera yet also did not interrupt our day from actually happening. We never felt like we had an overwhelming amount of paparazzi all day :) When he sent the video, we had no idea what to expect but it blew our expectations out of the water! Not a dry eye in the house. It is our favorite thing to remind us of how the day really FELT rather than just how it looked in pictures. I could not recommend them more!

Beyond Expected! Randomly found them on the knot. Watched a couple of their videos and was hooked. When it came to choosing a videographer we were so out of our element. We wanted someone to capture the day exactly how we remembered it. My husband and I are so awkward in front of the camera so we were especially nervous on how our video was going to turn out. FORGET THAT. Lara was amazing. Legit never asked us to do anything awkward or uncomfortable. The video was exactly what we remembered our day to be and more. We are so lucky to have found Old North Film Company. They worked with us and our very large (26 person) wedding party during 4th of July weekend in Chicago. We had crazy requests and they were all accomplished. (They were so kind to make edits on parts of the feature that I felt I did not look my best) They made us feel extremely comfortable and really felt like we could tell them exactly what we wanted. Our family is obsessed and friends are now wanting to use the same company. I would recommend using them, we did "the feature" package and it was 100% worth it. My husband Kevin and I knew that one of the most important decisions we would make is choosing a videographer to film our big day. I discovered Old North Film Co online. After watching a few of their videos, I knew their team was the right choice for us! The owner Tyler set up a call with me months prior to determine what we were looking for and make sure he understood us as a couple, which I really appreciated. Kevin, our lead videographer, then reached out two or so months before our wedding day. He was thorough, detailed, and very deliberate in running through our day of timeline with us via email and phone call. He and his associate videographer were so easy to work with day of, and so friendly! Our preview and feature films turned out AMAZING and we could not be more grateful to this team, and to Kevin for dedicating his day to capturing ours. I can’t say enough good things about working with Old North Film Company. Our video was better than anything I could have ever imagined. I knew from the beginning that Caleb was going to give 100% and not settle for anything but a perfect end product. It all began in our kick-off meeting when his passion for being creative and creating unique videos clearly shined through. His appreciation for cool venues and the creativity new places allowed for him was very evident. His excitement talking about our project was contagious and I knew then he was going to create something that was uniquely ours and wonderful. He didn’t disappoint! The day of our wedding Caleb and his coworker showed up to our suite early. He seamlessly fit into the hustle and bustle and fun in the suite full of bridesmaids, moms, aunts, makeup artists and hair stylists. He was friendly and sociable, but also made himself undetected at times to get truly candid shots. We never felt forced to do certain things and it showed in our video that our day was fun and we lived in the moment during all of it. The last thing I wanted was for someone to instruct us to jump in the air at the same time or do things that we would never do naturally. The same goes for the groom’s suite too. During our photo tour of Chicago, ceremony and reception, I didn’t notice Caleb and his assistant at all. They were surely working, but their presence was never noticed. They were able to capture all the great moments without being intrusive or making us and our guests feel like we were being filmed. Our video shows so many sincere and close moments, but I never once felt like I was under a microscope or had a camera in my face. It felt natural that day and shows through in our video too. Our video shows such an out pouring of love; the rawness Old North was able to capture is unbelievable. Their editing was perfect too. They were able to splice together meaningful footage with fun party scenes and make it all flow together beautifully. The voice overs they chose to incorporate make it truly a masterpiece. I couldn’t have written a better script for the video if I tried. It provides a wonderful definition of what love and the marriage is according to us and our closest friends and family. It’s both heartfelt and funny. I couldn’t be happier with the final product. We’ve received so many exceptional compliments and comments on our video – even from people not in attendance at our wedding. So many people say it looks like a professional movie and they can’t believe the beauty of it all. The video really shows ALL the details I took months putting together and all the love and joy of the day. Caleb also proved to be a superhero. After I received back my professional photos, I learned the photographer neglected to get any shot of my very long and detailed veil – a favorite part of my outfit. I was heartbroken and quickly reached out to Caleb to see if he had any good shots and if he could incorporate them into the video. He quickly checked the footage and was able to include great shots of my veil in the video. I am forever grateful for this! Old North Film is an amazing company to work with and I highly recommend Caleb. This was definitely one of the best allocations of our budget. Our video will always be close to our hearts and something we will proudly share with others for years to come.

You would never guess they have a bazillion other brides & grooms, because that's how personal the experience felt. We had Caleb and he was seriously such a blessing on our wedding day. He is SO responsive, pays so much attention to detail, has an amazing personality, and is SO kind. He listened to every note that I had, answered every question, made sure to address/fulfill everything we asked for, and genuinely made me feel like I was the only person he was working with. On top of that, our video is PERFECT. I am so beyond grateful we went with Old North and Caleb for our special day. <3 From start to finish with our experience with them, it was the best decision we could've made.

The video footage of our wedding was one of the things that I was most looking forward to. We hit the jackpot with Old North working with Kevin. They had such an amazing vision as they shot the footage. They were never in the way but still somehow managed to get an upfront and unobstructed shot of every main event. They made us so at ease and were able to shift seamlessly with the flow of the day. The finished product was SUCH high quality and really represented us, the vibe of the day and is something we will watch again and again! We cannot recommend this team enough

We hired Old North Film Company for our November 2019 Chicago wedding at the Harold Washington Library. We worked with Tyler and Caleb in the planning process and they were excellent. They asked questions in advance to be fully prepared to make the day perfect. Caleb and Fred were on site with us and captured everything from getting ready, portrait photography, ceremony, dancing, etc. We will receive our final product soon and I know it is going to be amazing. They were a joy to work with and very comfortable to be around (and fun!) even in our private, intimate moments. We highly recommend Old North Film Company!

All the employees we spoke to/ worked with were very knowledgeable and always kind. And the video!!! The video is amazing! The quality of the video is outstanding and the edits are perfect. I want to give a huge shoutout to Alex Oechsel and her partner who came and did videography for our big fat Indian wedding a couple months ago! We approached Old North after looking for video companies that had shot Indian Weddings well, and fell upon a video on their website that encapsulated how we wanted out wedding to be portrayed and shot; we lucked out as Old North teamed us up with the individual who had done that video; Alex! Alex was great to work with, and extremely patient given the chaos of our wedding. Know that your wedding video is in good hands with Old North and their team!!

I cannot rave enough about these videographers enough and HIGHLY recommend them for everyone! Alex and her team are unbelievable and captured our day in a way that is so genuinely us. We can feel the entire day and all of the emotions when we watch it back. They really hear your vision and create something you will cherish forever. Paige and Fred were exactly what we were looking for in a videographer. Prior to our wedding, Paige called several times to make sure that she had all the information necessary to capture everything that my husband and I wanted in our video. They are extremely easy to work with! During our wedding, Paige and Fred stayed way longer than they were supposed to to make sure they captured all of the funny traditions my family has for weddings. She is extremely kind-hearted and very, very talented at what she does. I would recommend her to anyone that is looking for a videographer for their weddings. She was worth every penny and was one of our easiest vendors to work with.

We chose Old North Film Company to do the videography for our wedding in September of 2018. This was probably one of the best decisions we made. We worked with Alex and Tyler throughout the whole planning process. I cannot give both of these associates enough praise. They were very easy to contact and communicate with. Most times we got an email response in under 24 hours - which was very much appreciated when planning a wedding! Alex and her assistant showed up on our wedding day to the specified location right on time. They were extremely professional and worked hand in hand with our photographer (separate company) to capture all of our big moments. Alex was great to work with and made sure to capture all of the specific shots we wanted. They even stayed an extra half hour at our reception to ensure this was accomplished. Post wedding, we had to wait about 5 months to get the final product. Old North did not disappoint! It was everything we expected it to be and more! Alex did an excellent job! Old North Film Company was by far one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning experience! They were so amazing to work and produced a stunning feature film. Old North was easily our favorite wedding vendor to work with. Not only this, but Old North created our most treasured wedding keepsake. My husband was initially slightly reluctant to contract a videographer; however, he now says that it was “worth every penny and more.” My mother, who is proud to be unsentimental, got teary-eyed while watching it for the first time- trust me, if you knew her, this alone would sell you on booking Old North. Company was great for my wedding on July 29, 2018. They were very responsive during the initial booking process and arrived prompt on our special day. It took a little longer than I had anticipated to receive our preview video but the end result was amazing. Chris was a very friendly videographer. We had two videographers for 10 hours and they captured everything from us getting ready to us celebrating at our banquet hall. I had priced shopped about 10 videographers and for the price and the quality, its well worth it!

I am absolutely in love with our wedding video! These guys were amazing. The audio is on point and the angles, which we did not make easy on them, were perfect. The truly captured not only the look of our wedding but the feel as well! Hands down I would hire them again and again. Very professional in all aspects of working with them before and day of for our wedding! I just wish I had a good excuse to have another big event they could capture.
