Olexa's cakes are AMAZING. Diane takes care of her brides and will make sure everything looks perfect. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted out of my cakes (wedding cake and grooms cake), so Diane took the reigns and executed flawlessly. I could not be happier with how everything turned out!
Olexa's cakes are DELICIOUS!!! Everyone was raving about how tasty and moist this cake was. She also does a beautiful job of decorating them.
However, you are asked to give them your cake topper and they will put it on for you. I paid $40 for my cake topper and they forgot to put it on and took it home with them. I was unable to reach them before the reception. This was super disappointing to me, but it was still very beautiful. Diane immediately contacted me about this mishap and ended up refunding me for the top of the cake and the money I paid for the topper. She handled everything very justly and kindly, but it was still a bummer that my cake wasn't what I had wanted on my big day. Fantastic cake though!
They did a great job at creating a unique and personal cake for me and my husband.
My entire family loves Olexa's and considers their cakes to be the best in Birmingham. When I had my first slice at our tasting, I couldn't help but agree. The cake tasting amazing, but they were also able to make something beautiful as well. I had a drawing of what I wanted my wedding cake to look like, and Diane and her team matched it to a "T". I couldn't have been happier with the end result!
Olexa's Catering has a very professional staff, the cake was beautiful, just as I originally discussed with Ms. Olexa, and it tastes great too!

I absolutely cannot put into words how much I LOVED my wedding cake! It was BEAUTIFUL and it was the best tasting cake I have ever had in my life. Everyone at my wedding could not stop talking about how much they loved my cake. Olexa's is absolutely phenomenal!
These cakes are pricey, but they are absolutely gorgeous. Not only are the cakes beautiful, they taste absolutely amazing. My sister got her wedding cake from here, and it was a hit. I decided to also get my wedding cake here, and all my guests loved it.
The staff at Olexa's did an amazing job on our wedding cakes! Everyone at the wedding raved about BOTH cakes for a change!
However, there were several hiccups at the Bridal Luncheon the day before the wedding. This was planned several weeks in advance (the food, the decorations, etc.) when I arrived 30 minutes before the guest, the table was not set and they had not placed the order for the appetizers.
During the actual luncheon we enjoyed the delicious food, however pre-ordered food that was made incorrectly did occur.
Overall, it was a great experience and the cakes were delicious, just make sure your server is on top of things if you host a luncheon here!
The cakes were absolutely gorgeous, and so very delicious. My only complaint is that she recommended we order so much that we were left with over a hundres extra servings.
I didn't do a traditional their cake. I did single different size vanilla buttercream cakes on cylinder pedestals. The cakes were not only beautiful but soooo moist and delicious. I have several people give compliments and ask where the cake came from. I will always get my cakes from Olexa's from now on. You can't beat them!!
I was so excited about using O'Lexa's because you always hear about how beautiful and tasty the cakes are. My only issue with them was they called the reception venue and asked if they could drop off the cakes the morning of my wedding and let the Club set up my cakes even though I PAID a delivery and setup fee. That just rubbed me the wrong way, especially since I booked my cake with them 10 months before my wedding!
My wedding cake was exactly what I wanted. I brought in a design and they were happy to make it. The cake turned out so moist, delicious, and beautiful. Communications with Olexa's during the planning process was also quick and easy.
Olexas bakery is so amazing!!!! Our cakes were unbelievable both in taste and design!! Loved them!
The wedding cake tasted incredible! They were also able to take my design I brought in and create it and were so easy to work with! They delivered on time and it was SOOO pretty.
I LOVE Olexa's cake so they were my first choice for a wedding cake. However, I had only ever had cake in the cafe, which does not have as much icing as their wedding cake. I would have preferred less icing, but that's my only negative comment! The cake itself was beautiful and tasted great!
Some of the best cake I have ever had! Both the groom's and bride's cake was done by Olexa's. The guests raved about it!

Hands down the best cake I've ever had! Diane is such a sweetheart. She is reliable and so creative. Our cake not only tasted amazing, but it was so beautiful. I was one of those indecisive brides and changed the design of my cake two weeks before the wedding...without any questions, Diane designed my cake exactly how I had pictured it. Simply amazing!
Olexa was wonderful, i took a picture of my dress when I went for my consultation she look at the dress and design my cake to match the dress. She came up with idea to make the chocolate, vanilla and Strawberry when you cut the cake you where able to get all three flavors at once. I tasted their cake at a wedding show and had to have it. It is the best cake I have ever tasted. No other cake would do once I tasted Olexa's. It was delicious. I wish I had a piece now. Oh, and it was beautiful. And, My husband wanted a UFC octagon cake and they made it. And it was awesome.
