We had a fast, 5 month engagement, so when we heard about Olio from our florist, we felt like it serendipitously matched what we were looking for: a modern/industrial space with a blank slate agreement for full creative freedom. If you're excit...ed about the idea of being able to style your wedding exactly how you've always dreamed of, keep reading.
Sarah, the venue owner, is a rock star. She was super good at communicating, checking in on us and making sure we were good. It was fun to dream about what our wedding would look like on our first visit, since Sarah also has a cool creative mind.
The space has really nice perks you won't find anything else, like some parking in the back, included tables and chairs, and awesome natural light through humongous windows. And you really can do whatever your heart desires. No more finding-a-decent-venue-except-the-weird-carpet, or obliging to a hotel's outdated designs. Just a big space to fill with your big-day imagination. We also wanted to have both our ceremony and reception in the same big space, and just quickly flipped the room during cocktail hour.
We've only gotten positive remarks from all our guests, who loved how unique the space was, how beautiful the concrete walls were, and just the vibes. We joke that we're gonna do our 10 year party at Olio again, but also we hope it's not a joke.
Seriously, call Sarah, get a sense of how passionate she is, and schedule a visit! We really can't do Olio justice until you see the space yourself.
Happy planning!
