Founder Michaela Bussey grew up surrounded by the magic of weddings, watching her parents bring unforgettable celebrations to life. That early spark lit a fire in her and in 2015, she planned her very first wedding (spoiler: it was a total hit).
Over the years, Michaela built a career in corporate planning, but something was always missing. Doing two or three weddings a year for friends or colleagues just wasn’t enough. In 2023, with a little nudge from her amazing support system, she made it official and Olive+Oak was born. She hasn’t looked back since.
At O+O, we believe no two love stories are the same, so why should your wedding be? We offer a range of customizable packages, from full-service planning to partial planning and day-of coordination. ly going to need some help from a professional and i am so happy I went with Michaela and her team. She knows the wedding business/process in and out and is an excellent communicator with a fantastic demeanor and personality.
She kept me to a planning timeline without being overbearing, when it came time to make the actual day of minute by minute timeline she worked with all my vendors to get that together so I didn't even have to think about it. The weeks leading up to the wedding and the day of the wedding, Michaela and team were by my side offering a calming, reassuring presence and by some magical force always seemed to be one step ahead of me. I actually woke up in a cold sweat the morning after the wedding thinking I might have misplaced something of value during the reception and texted Michaela about it, sure enough she had already found it and packed it away for me. You won't regret going with Olive + Oak!
