Lauren is so wise and experienced beyond her years, so organized, and has a great eye to keep costs down. First her wisdom and experience. A wedding is 1,000 different micro-decisions that work together, which can be very overwhelming. As we faced countless options, Lauren coached and discussed until we found the perfect way forward. While we were guessing, she shared her experiences from past weddings. THIS IS WORTH ITS WEIGHT IN GOLD because it lets you focus on the big things. Second, her organization is second to none. I’m an organized person. Valedictorian turned full scholar turned VUMC computer scientist, and Lauren STILL out-organized me haha. When COVID-19 changed so much of our plans, Lauren was able to basically re-do all our contracts in a matter of days. When we decided last minute to hire a sound engineer because our previous one fell through, she got it done in a few days. When we decided 10 MINUTES BEFORE THE WEDDING to do a procession, she got it done. I have countless of these stories, but I think you get the picture. Lauren’s masterful management of all the vendors, contracts, details etc etc makes her one of the best. Third, her focus on costs. There’s no denying that weddings can be expensive, but ALL EVENTS can be expensive if no one is mindful of costs. When we put our orders with vendors together, Lauren went over them with a fine-tooth comb, helping us consider savings and different options. If plans changed after we got initial contracts, she would make sure obsolete items were removed from invoices. In addition, she would offer her own solutions in the place of vendors. Overall, Lauren Wallstedt’s wisdom, organization, and eye for expenses make her the best wedding planner in Nashville. Do yourself a favor and bring this rock star on to your team!

Lauren handled all of the communication with the vendors and various contracts to make this change as easy on us as possible. She was also knowledgeable and comforting, keeping us up-to-date as local regulations changed. Our second curve ball was when our venue cancelled on us two weeks before our wedding date. Lauren spent 8 hours on the phone with venues around Nashville to find one that would host us. Two days later, our band dropped out. Before Lauren even told us the news, she had 3 new bands ready to play our date. Every time a problem arose, Lauren came with a solution. As a stressed out bride, that meant so much! Our Plan B wedding ended up being more beautiful than we could have imagined. The venue (Allenbrooke Farms) was FABULOUS, the band was incredible, and everything ran perfectly smooth thanks to Lauren. No one had to think about a thing - we could relax and enjoy! Another thing I really appreciated about Lauren was how she helped us save on costs. When Lauren realized that Allenbrooke included a lot of rental items (chairs, tables, etc.), she leveraged our rental budget to pay for draping and lighting. We had already paid our caterer for a 200 person wedding that ended up being much smaller, so Lauren had the caterers act as bartenders and do extra cocktail hors d'oevres and desserts. Without Lauren as our wedding planner, I think we would have given up and gone to the court house. Thank you Lauren!!!

Knowing she was at the venue the entire day of the event from set up through clean up gave me a sense of security knowing that every single detail would be handled just the way I wanted it. This confidence of knowing that everything would be perfect gave me the freedom to enjoy this special night with our family and the other events of the busy wedding weekend without worrying about the details of rehearsal dinner.
