Olive or Twist Bartending is the project of married couple Gabi and Raymond Valenzuela and their friend Ajay. Gabi is a dreamer who is the big picture thinker, while Raymond likes to put all the pieces of the business together. Ajay is an experienced bartender who makes the cocktail magic happen. Together, they strive to create a unique and personal bar experience.
Olive or Twist Bartending's two main goals are to make your wedding planning process easy and be the best vendor you work with. Once you book with them, they will reach out to your venue and take care of all the details so you don't have to lift a finger. She has an amazing ability to envision the fine details within the big picture. While Raymond thrives in piecing it all together. With his business background and persistence, he brings her ideas to life.
During the process of planning their own wedding they worked alongside Ajay, a friend who had a great deal of bartending know-how. Together, the three were able to integrate the bartending experience in a unique and personal way!

eeks before the wedding once we told them what we wanted to serve, which made it easy to order everything from the store.
We rented a table through them to serve as the bar. They were responsible for set up, which could've been neater. The table cloth wasn't straight and the boxes of alcohol were clearly visible. It wasn't a huge deal for me, but if you care about it, make sure you prepare a bar for them.
The bartenders themselves were kind and friendly. Overall worth the money.

After getting quotes from several bartending companies, Olive or Twist came in at the best rate. They offered many bartending services that came at an incredible price - everything...
from alcohol pick-up, ice pick-up, assistance in ordering - you name it. It was such a huge benefit going with them because we were able to supply our own alcohol. That means we were able to purchase exactly what we wanted and how much we wanted (pro tip, if you purchase from Specs, you can return any unopened alcohol and get your money back).
Olive or Twist were extremely professional and communicative during the entire process. There was a hiccup with the alcohol order, and they were fast to communicate the problem so we could quickly find a solution.
Their bartenders were top-notch (shoutout Ajay and Christina!!!). They were extremely attentive, quick to serve drinks, and very flexible. I have a few day-off requests for them, and they executed perfectly.
Overall I am very pleased with my experience with Olive or Twist. I would recommend them to anyone having an event or wedding in the Austin Area. Raymond and Gabi are the best!!

plan a wedding, it is hard to spend as much time on each vendor. People spend so much time on the food, the florals, the dress, the venue, the photographer, all really important stuff, but sometimes the vendor that is most important to the guest go without much thought.
Olive or Twist was such a delight to work with and made the most important process of the night go smoothly. Guest were greeted with smiling faces, quick service, and fabulous drinks. The stock list was such a huge help in making sure we had enough of everything and even remembering the little things!! We choose to add ice and cup rental with our package, and we were so grateful to have them offer this service to take one less thing off our backs. They also had all of the certifications and insurances that made using them that much easier.
I highly recommend using their services and your guest will be delighted too!!!

Both my now husband and I love cocktail making at home, and had exact recipes we wanted the team to do, and they were happy to do it (down the ounces and everything!). All our guests know how into cocktails we are and people really appreciated that the recipes were our own!
The only minor detail that got missed is that during our preplanning session, we had agreed that one of our drinks, The Gold Rush, would be freshly shaken, but on the night of the reception, for some reason, that drink got prebatched. Not a huge deal, but we just would've preferred freshly shaken. Overall, especially given how affordable this team is, we would definitely hire them again.

and handed our COVID re-scheduling perfectly. They did not charge us a re-scheduling fee which was awesome and made reworking our big day less stressful. We were lucky to have Ajay and Carly as our bartenders the night of and they were phenomenal. Drinks were made timely (and deliciously!) and their professionalism can’t be beat. They even went so far as to make a drink for my wife and deliver it to her dressing room! With all the last minute details we forgot to buy the bitters for our Old Fashioned and Ajay handled it perfectly. He went out and bought some, no questions asked. If you’re looking for someone reliable and communicative with outstanding customer service, we highly recommend using Olive or Twist as your bartenders!

We ultimately decided to postpone our big celebration due to COVID, but Olive or Twist was so professional, helpful, and understanding in helping us to develop our plan B. Our wedding day (1.11.2020) went off without a hitch! I am so blessed to have had vendors that kept our 250 guests happy and the libations flowing! Olive or Twist were able to serve a variety of options provided by us including mixed drinks, a signature cocktail, craft beer, and domestic beer.
