more! It was elegant, beautifully decorated, and so easy to work with! Jana and EVERYONE from bartenders to cooks were simply fantastic. Everyone was raving about the location the next day...even the older crowd who typically likes a more traditional wedding reception absolutely loved it! We were still able to do the standard reception things but without the banquet feel of a stuffy reception. I would recommend Olive or Twist over and over again to anyone looking for a reception venue!

The place looks gorgeous with no decoration! The staff at the bar was so kind! I was kinda stressed in the beginning when I sat down with my husband at the bar to catch a breather, and they offered me a glass of wine and water to calm my nerves! Some of our younger guests got too reckless, and the staff handled it perfectly (by not stressing me out and bringing it to my attention, but rather handling it themselves which I greatly appreciated!). The food was such a hit! So many of our guests loved the food. Lastly, it is slightly hard to get ahold of Jana sometimes, but she is wonderful at her job and made my reception absolutely perfect. I cannot thank her and her staff enough for what they did for my husband and I.

Exactly what we were looking for! The food was great too. We needed some vegan options and the chef was able to accommodate with some off-the-menu items. I spent a lot of time leading up to the wedding communicating with their onsite event coordinator, and she was a rockstar. She thought of things I didn't even consider and made our day go as smoothly as possible. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for something different!

Brandon was very understanding of what we wanted our budget to be and advised us in various ways what we could add or take away to make the wedding we wanted. The food was FANTASTIC, people raved about the cute drinks and cocktails, and we saved money on a DJ by using the sound system/mic and a Spotify playlist. The venue was cozy and allowed for people to mingle freely, and the dance floor was still large enough that most people danced a good bit of the night. If you're looking for a low stress, affordable wedding, Olive or Twist is the perfect place!!

General Manager, Brandon Thompson, is an absolute pleasure to work with. He assisted us in planning a delicious menu, checked in with us throughout the event and is a great person. The food was delicious and our guests raved about the drinks. The bartenders could not have been more friendly or accommodating. My grandmother has trouble walking so we used the elevator - each employee that assisted with the elevator was so kind and helpful. A truly A+ experience at one of Pittsburgh's best bar-restaurants!

ervice and ambiance. Several described it as the "most hip" wedding reception venue they had attended. We reserved the entire second floor for our event, and the space was perfect. There was enough seating that no one seemed to be without an option, and the setup was cozy and intimate. Our families were able to sit in medium to large groups together, with smaller high tops for two available as well. The VIP area was used for food setup. We did not need to provide decorations - the atmosphere is already perfect and the tables really do not allow for much additional adornment. There was enough space to allow for dancing, and ample space for coats. The back bar was used for our dessert/cookies and they added a table at the entrance for our gifts, cards and guest book. We chose a variety of cold/hot appetizers and penne pasta, sliders, and truffle fries as our main dishes. Everything was served on small plates. The food was incredible, and the wait staff were attentive and abundant. There was a great selection of draft and bottled beer, and numerous martini options within our price range. We selected the S'mores Martini as our signature drink (we love to camp) and it was very well-received. The General Manager, Brandon, was so responsive and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. We were able to plan the entire event via email which was super convenient. When I selected certain menu items that he did not feel would be the best options, he pointed me in the direction of others (without inflating our bill). The portioning was right on and there were no surprises at the end of the evening. If you are looking to host a non-traditional wedding reception (we did not have a DJ - we brought our own iPod) and are ok with unassigned seating and a more relaxed cocktail party feel, this is a perfect choice - especially for smaller receptions. Most other options in the city came with food and beverage minimums that would not have been achievable with our small number of guests. We are so happy we decided on Olive or Twist. We would do so again in a heartbeat.

Brandon was also quick to respond to all of my emails and was incredibly knowledgeable & dead-on with his estimations as far as cost and the right amount of food for our guests. ce is so gorgeous that we didn't even have to decorate at all! Everyone raved about the food (traditional Pittsburgh fare) all night. I loved that guests could sit at the bar, lounge on the couches, or stand at the hightop tables. They even let us have a conga-line (requested by our flower girls). The Bartenders were simply FABULOUS and took such good care of us all night and Brandon was on top of everything. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an awesome space and great food!

it all come to fruition. Brandon, the event coordinator, did such an incredible job organizing and managing our event. There were few details we had to concern ourselves with during the party and anything we were asked about was simply to make sure we had the option of whatever it was. The room is so pretty that I didn't have to splatter it with flowers. I kept it very simple and classic. We did use a bit of uplighting and it really tied it all together. Beautiful room, perfect event. I didn't get to eat but my guests raved about the food. They said it was some of the best wedding food they'd had. I would get married there a hundred more times.
