Cali with Olive Tree Entertainment was amazing! We gave him a small list of songs and he created an entire playlist that perfectly summed us up. The best part however was his live acoustic renditions of our favorite songs that we got to walk down the isle to. I cannot recommend Cali and the guys at Olive Tree enough!

I was so excited when I found Cali to be our entertainment! We had a pretty tricky venue for our wedding- multiple locations for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and I am really picky about my music. But from the conversations with Cali leading up to the big day I was confident that he had everything under control. I am also pretty picky about my music and Cali did a great job working with my desired playlist while also reading the room and including dance floor bangers. He also sang and played guitar during the cocktail hour, which added the perfect touch to our day. Cali went above and beyond, from setup, to learning a song just for us, to excellent communication, and I was so happy with how everything turned out. 10000000/10 highly recommend!

Cali was the absolute best!! So easy to work and professional. His wonderful voice made our sweet day ever sweeter. He sang serval different songs and played the guitar while our wedding party, and bride/groom walked down the aisle. When it came time to switch to DJ, Cali played our playlist during dinner and had the dance floor packed with a mix of songs we picked along with awesome tracks from his own collection. The dance floor lighting was great and he even handed out glow sticks which were super fun! Highly recommend hiring Cali for your wedding!!

We were fortunate enough to have Cali bring an exceptional musical experience to our wedding in Santa Fe, where he effortlessly juggled the roles of guitarist and DJ. Cali learned a special song for our ceremony and even sent us a few variations of the song to choose from before the wedding! What set Cali apart, however, was his transition from guitarist to DJ as the night progressed. The way he effortlessly transitioned from playing live to curating the perfect playlist showcased his versatility and understanding of the ebb and flow of a wedding celebration. Cali kept the energy high on the dance floor with a well-thought-out selection of songs that appealed to guests of all ages. So happy we found Cali and Olive Tree Entertainment!

Cali is an excellent musician, wonderful DJ, and a great person to work with. From our first phone call we really liked him- he helped us realize our vision for our ceremony and reception, and his questionnaire about the wedding day was thorough so we knew he was organized and would customize things for us. We didn't want a DJ who would yell into the mic at the dance party, you know? We conveyed that to him and he didn't give us a hard time about it. He was like "whatever you guys want!" He played guitar upon our guest's arrival, played a LED ZEPPELIN song on guitar for us to walk down the aisle to ("Thank You"- he learned it just for us and it sounded awesome), and was right on que for some additional moments during the ceremony. He was able to move his equipment to a different location for the cocktail hour where he did a mix of performing live and DJ-ing. The guests loved it! Cali also had a larger DJ setup in a different location for the dance party (so he played/DJ'd in 3 locations on the property!!!!). The first DJ company we talked to actually grumbled about that idea when we presented it and told us they could only do 2 locations and that there would be a 20 minute gap in music while they moved around. Cali was open to the idea, made sure he had the right gear to be easily portable, and made it work on the day of. He took care of all the audio/AV stuff for our ceremony and toasts and we didn't have to think about any of it! Cali is flexible AND a problem solver, which made things easy on the day of our wedding when things were a liiiiittle disorganized. I don't think anyone could regret hiring Olive Tree Entertainment. Cali is such an awesome person to work with. He made our wedding really special and something that we’ll never forget. He sang and played guitar before and after our ceremony, and he sounds amazing. He matched our vision for the ceremony so well, and brought that into the cocktail/dinner hour and then our reception. The playlist was awesome, the lighting and engagement by him was great, and he kept the party going! He did a great job of accepting requests that flowed will with the vibe of the night, and we all had such a fun time. Absolute BEST DJ. Thank goodness we found Cali at Olive Tree Entertainment. Our wedding was a major success and a big part of that was the perfect music throughout the event. Cali was extremely friendly, kind, and he listened to us carefully when explaining our vision. Then he executed it perfectly. He played guitar live as our guests arrived, played music during our ceremony, and then had everyone dancing their hearts out during the reception. HIGHLY recommend Olive Tree. You will not find better.

Cali DJed our wedding and played a live set during dinner. WOW were we happy with our choice. SO many of our guests commented on what a wonderful choice he was. Highly highly recommend!!! Not only was he able to set EVERYTHING up, he also sang with guitar for the ceremony and did all the AV and DJ’d! He even helped to mix a special song for us!!! And he saved us in a time crunch!!

We hired Cali Shaw and his band this summer for our wedding. I cannot say enough positive things about him. His voice and music is so unique and beautiful. Cali was outstanding with communication as well. He was able to do this incredible remix of a song we wanted to walk down the aisle to also. He is absolutely the best in Albuquerque. Book him as early as possible. He is the very best hidden secret that will be discovered soon.

Cali Shaw completely exceed our expectations with his performance at our wedding. My wife and I decided to get married at a small venue in a fairly remote part of southern Colorado. Cali was enthusiastic about traveling to our site and made the logistics of setting up his sound system and live music equipment an absolute breeze. We had a pretty diverse set of guests at our wedding and all of our guests absolutely loved his live music set. Once dinner was finished, Cali helped orchestrate our speeches which was a huge help. Once his DJ set started the whole party erupted and the rest was history. Cali not only provided a diverse set of live music and DJ music, he helped with the organization and flow of the event. His experience with weddings really showed as he was always able to give us the proper advice when we had questions. We really can’t imagine a better experience with a wedding musician!
