planner I believe your responsibility is to ensure both the bride and the groom are both happy. That was not our experience with Olivia Grace Events.

ca’s erratic behavior on a day that should have been the brides happiest day, but Erica made it about her and was extremely rude and confrontational. Erica was so disrespectful to the point of her insulting majority of the guest and also the brides family members who flew from out of town to celebrate with the bride. It was so shocking to see how a planner who supposedly should be the one making sure the bride never has to worry about anything on her wedding day to now being the overzilous and out of touch planner. She saw the bride for the first time on her wedding day and couldn’t complement how beautiful she looked in her gown. She made everything about her and her attitude is nothing to brag about because she truly ain’t built for this job at all. She have no patience, she never listens to what the bride wanted from her, she imposes her choices on the bride just because she’s lazy at her supposed job and she knows she can’t deliver what they paid her for. Erica has the most aggravating personality and an unajustable attitude. Please guys!!!!!, save yourselves the drama and hire a real planner who won’t verbally abuse your friends and family. For someone to be a planner of some sort, you have to love what you do and also enjoy working with people. She hates people and you can tell from the way she talks and acts. My only regret is that I wished my cousin had read her previous reviews to really see what a bad news she was, maybe her wedding would have had a better chance and a better start to her marriage. Again, beware of Erica the not so graceful planner.

y eyes. Not only was my decor a disaster. She also arrived at my venue late on wedding day and she looked like she jumped out of bed and didn't take a shower. Hair was a mess and wore tennis shoes with a dress. Thank God for a loving patient husband who has been helping me get through my depression post wedding.

mplete disaster. I dreamed about my wedding for years and for me to have my wedding ruined by my own planner was something I never could have imagined. Erica was so unavailable throughout my whole process. Sometimes I would call her and she would sound like she's half asleep and half listening to me. I would text message her on accessions and she would leave me on 'read'. She harassed me with calls and text messages about finalizing my payments but after my final payments it went downhill from there. I paid Erica $13,000 for a basic wedding decorations that she promised me would look beautiful and when I saw my venue I wanted to cry. She couldn't even tell me I'm sorry on the day of and she was late to my wedding day as we were calling and looking for me. Brides, please don't make the same mistake I did in hiring Ms. Erica. She will turn your special day into a nightmare like she did with mine.

edding is lacking attention. Erica was yelling at me? Telling me she’s done talking about my wedding, I’m stressing her out etc. I actually cried that day because at this point, I was done paying her all her money. Erica didn’t even know when I had bridal shower let alone to be there because Erica has a full time job at a pharmaceutical company working M-F (9-5pm). So she doesn’t have time to help plan a wedding. She provides you with the easiest and basic way possible for her own selfish reasons. Fast forward to my wedding day, I had to send 4 additional people (my aunties) to help Erica with decor on that day for free. Erica did not see me or call me until 3pm, and when she saw me, she confronted me rudely about my guest been there since 2pm. One of my bridesmaids was amazed with Erica’s attitude and said, you’re just seeing her for the first time today and you can’t give her a compliment??? Earlier that day, I sent my friend to get my bouquet from Erica because I was taking all my pictures before the ceremony starts, however Erica told my friend my bouquet Won’t be ready until 4pm, knowing fully well I WAs Scheduled to take pictures that morning. So I had to take pictures without a bouquet. Erica was bitter and salty throughout my entire event. Some of my guest couldn’t stand her attitude during dinner so they had to go buy fast food, ate in the car and came back inside to celebrate With me. Bare in mind that 90% of my quest are young professionals from out of town especially Texas and California. I have never felt this embarrassed my whole life. All through my business with her, she kept talking about how she HATES weddings, especially African weddings. Mind you she is African too. My question is, why would you collect my hard earn money if you HATE weddings? Smh.. I really should’ve known better!! I just now realize she has 1-2 star reviews from other brides too!! The only people giving her 5 star are people she did birthday dinner for. You can not compare birthday dinner celebrations to a wedding OKAY!!!! I have prove of everything!! Usually i don’t write reviews, but if a planner cursed you, your family and majority of your guests on your wedding day, then you would find time to write a review. My wedding was few weeks ago and I hired Erica as a partial planner, event cordinator and for the decoration. I totally blame myself for not doing my research before hiring her. At the beginning, she was very sweet and nice not knowing she was a bomb waiting to explode. The most painful part is this, Erica cursed my entire guest out during my reception. My guest and family Kept complaining about how rude my planner was. I calmed everyone down telling them maybe she’s stressed. After my event, at 12.15am I went and told Erica to stop cursing everyone out because they are complaining. Erica went off and started clapping her hands and cursed me out too in front of my guests. It was so embarrassing, I had to walk away. 10 mins later, my little cousin confronted her about insulting me on my wedding day. Erica went off, then her and her Olivia grace entire staff were trying to jump me and my cousin on my wedding day. Smh!!! It all started with me signing that vague contract. I paid her over the top- 5 figures, she is not cheap at all. After signing the contract, I wasn’t comfortable so I contacted a friend who Erica planned and did her wedding 2 years ago and she was seriously afraid for me because she had nothing good to say about Erica. Infact she wanted to throw up just hearing that name Erica’ or Olivia Grace events. At this point it was too late because I blinding signed the contract already, paid her and no returns guaranteed. Her contract was very VAGUE, contract terminology is very unclear because she does not want no responsibility Incase things goes left. After signing the contract, I noticed she was providing me with basic decor. I was not happy. So I decided to upgrade my contract which led to doubling my budget smh!! Even at that, I still wasn’t happy with the decor she was giving me, everything I Suggested to her was an extra cost. Example, she did not include napkin rings with my decor, she made me buy the napkin rings by myself and she insisted she would charge extra $150 for labor to put the napkin rings. She also said she would charge extra cost for labor to put the silverware and water glasses on the table. I was so confused because I thought this were all part of decor. One day, I walked into a decor rental store and I noticed everything Erica charged me for was double the price. Erica charged me $200 each per candelabras but at the store, it was $75 each to rent. Smh!! I didn’t bring this to Erica attention because I was literally scared of how Erica would react. Well, after so much talk, tears and sadness, she was able to give me the decor I wanted ( with double my budget). Her flowers were nice but her personality is very UGLY!!!

ckyard. She went above and beyond. The event was very beautiful and very upscale. You could not even tell we was in the back yard. Her communication was excellent and she answered every question I had. She was organized and the party was every thing i could imagine. I would recommend her to anybody I know.

eard about her. Despite us being in a different city, she was very responsive and extremely patient. She did not hesitate to provide the best experience any bride could ask for. She made it effortless for me as the bride. From the flowers to the STUNNING decor, I mean it was absolutely breaktaking! You explain your vision and how she executed it is seriously something I’ve never seen before. I got married in June of this year and my guests are STILL talking about the decor and how amazing it was! . Honestly— I wish I could post pictures because it really made my entire day. Even the venue manager wants to use the pictures from Erica’s decoration for their website. surprise. Indeed, I was totally surprised - jaw opened upon entering the event auditorium, just as Erica promised. Erica made the planning phase a stress-free one; she was accessible, helpful, and brought out the creativity of my vision. Erica's attitude, professionalism and the smile she carried on her face while she was coordinating the event gave me an assurance that I made the right choice. I will recommend Erica of Olivia Grace Events to everyone. She and her team will make your event a great one!

idiculous. Her mouth is foul! There is no way that this wedding should have ended with police cars. It was a fairytale wedding gin sour at the end. Spend your money with someone else. Do not support this business!

doesn’t have adequate staff, and She has POOR customer service. Imagine paying for Bentley and being given a Chrysler 300... although the wedding was nice she didn’t get what she paid for and has yet to be given any reasoning why. I give this vendor a 0 out of 10.

5 figured budget. We gave her 7 distinct details that we wanted with free artistic expression and she only provided 3 of those items. The communication with this vendor is poor and when it actually occurs is aggressive. It occurred with myself, my venue and my planner. Throughout my experience, she refused to communicate with the venue outside of our initial meeting and did not work well with my planner. She has a tendency to make disparaging remarks towards other vendors yet fails to take accountability or offer an apology when things go wrong. Should you choose to work with her, ensure that your contract terms are concrete and that she provides you with your mock up as well as status reports. After signing my contract and putting down the initial deposit, she tried to enforce a payment structure that was never discussed or agreed upon. This was the only communication that was consistent and when it occurred, she would demand for payment way before scheduled payment time. Despite having a conversation about this and my dissatisfaction with her current performance, nothing changed. As a matter of fact, when the final payment was remitted, she had me to call and go into the bank to have them clear a check that had cleared on my end because she did not want to wait for the time that her bank stated it would clear. I was denied a mockup which resulted in my having small lucite tables versus mirrored glass estate tables, a cloudy miniature calligraphy mirrored seating chart that my guests could not read or even see instead of two large mirrored calligraphy seating charts, gold chivarri chairs instead of ghost and crystal chivarri chairs paid for and a backdrop made of paper held up by linen and a table versus the custom vinyl backdrop requested and confirmed, and an non communicated change in seating arrangement altogether. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. We won't even go into how the venue had to provide my white monogrammed dance floor and my having to pay an extra $500. Also request the number of staff she will have on hand for your special day. This is imperative as her lack of staff resulted in an hour and a half delay on our wedding day which had an adverse domino effect on our ceremony start time, mother-son dance, cultural display and essential picture shots. How can you have two people to set up for a wedding seating 400 people? Thank God for my planner and the venue who pitched in to help set up. Otherwise, I might have missed my whole wedding. I had to pay for an additional hour for the dj just to ensure my people had a good time. Perhaps our wedding was too large for her as we were a 400 guest wedding. Nonetheless, we thought that her 11 years experience in the industry would have equipped her with the necessary expertise to execute our special day. I wanted to make sure we shared our experience that often left me in tears riddled with anxiety and frustration so that no one has to go through this on their special day especially when spending copious amounts of money. It is a regret that does not have to shared by you. To be warned is to be forearmed and I just wanted to share my experience with you especially if you are spending more than the average.
