This review is way overdue (like, 2020 overdue). Brian and Kaitlyn Eldredge are absolutely fantastic - we cannot recommend them enough. Their photography is stunning. They were wonderful to work with and went out of their way to make things work out when COVID-19 affected our planned 2020 wedding, allowing us to increase our shoot length and split the package over 2 years due to the unique circumstances so they could shoot both our 2020 elopement and our 2021 wedding celebration. Brian gamely agreed to hike a mountain with us after our elopement and shoot photos from the peak, carrying his heavy equipment through pouring rain and making the photos look epic all-the-while. They were super responsive, totally up for whatever we suggested but also came with their own ideas for great set photos. We loved working with them two years in a row and would work with them again in a heartbeat.

I’m Brian, the photographer behind OMA Weddings here in Charleston, South Carolina. I’ve been photographing weddings for 11 years, and I still get excited about the incredible places and people I get to photograph. My style is all about beautiful natural light, warm golden tones, genuine emotion, movement, and mostly unposed moments with direction when needed. I want your photographs to feel timeless and cinematic while still feeling like you. Just as importantly, I want you to actually enjoy having me around. I keep the energy light, help people feel comfortable in front of the camera, and know when to step in with direction and when to simply get out of the way. Before making Charleston home, I built an established wedding photography business in New York’s Adirondack region. I also have a degree in Film and spent several years working in film and television, including time on productions in Florida and Los Angeles. That background definitely influences the cinematic way I see a wedding day. OMA Weddings is intentionally a small, relationship-driven studio. When you book with me, you work directly with me from our first conversation through your wedding day and the delivery of your photographs. I photograph weddings throughout Charleston and the Lowcountry, including Mount Pleasant, James Island, Johns Island, Kiawah Island, Isle of Palms, Sullivan’s Island, and surrounding coastal areas. I also welcome destination weddings throughout South Carolina and beyond. I’d love to hear more about your plans and what you’re looking for in your wedding photography!

I’m Brian, the photographer behind OMA Weddings. I’ve been photographing weddings for 11 years, and before making Charleston home, I built an established wedding photography business in New York’s Adirondack region. I’ve always been drawn to the way a wedding actually feels: the anticipation, the happy chaos, the quiet moments, the people you love, and all the little things you didn’t plan for. My approach is cinematic and documentary-driven, with beautiful natural light, genuine emotion, and just enough direction when you need it. I want your photographs to feel timeless and true to you, without spending your entire wedding day feeling like you’re on a photo shoot. I’m based in Charleston, South Carolina, and photograph weddings throughout the Lowcountry, along the coast, and wherever your story takes you. I have a degree in Film and spent several years working in film and television before photography became my full-time career. That background definitely influences the way I see a wedding, but at the end of the day, I’m just there to make beautiful photographs and make sure you actually enjoy being in them. And after 11 years of weddings, I’ve learned that the best photographs usually happen when people forget I’m there. OMA stands for Ocean Mountain Ascension. It’s a reminder of the places, experiences, and people that shape us, and the stories worth holding onto.

y for me. Photographs of such an important day will last forever, and is how most people look back on and reminisce about their wedding day. I spent weeks looking at portfolios, Instagram pages, and reading reviews like this one. After finding Eldredge Photo and Video I never contacted another vendor, I just loved everything they had to offer. As an out of state bride, I asked a lot of questions, and our email thread is long enough to prove it! But never once did they make me feel like I was asking too much or being a bother. Each time I reached out with a question I got a quick and helpful response! And when the pandemic started and we had to move our wedding, they were the most helpful vendors we spoke to! We booked a new date with them before we did anything else, that’s how important they were to us! Last summer we first met Brian and Katelyn for our engagement photos, and we were both nervous and don’t feel like particularly photogenic people, but within 5 minutes of meeting them it felt like talking with old friends. That photo shoot went by so fast, and not at one time did I stop to think about if I looked right. Whenever they set up a photo Brian and Katelyn would demonstrate what they meant, or would come make subtle adjustments to our poses and that little help and direction really makes a difference! Our wedding day was no different, I’m so glad we took their advice and went with a first look! It calmed all of our nerves, and gave us so much more time to take photos together and with our wedding party! Even when we were doing family photos and things got a little out of hand with requests from our family Katelyn calmed me down and made sure requests were accommodated, but that we also stayed on time! When it came time for golden hour photos, we were thinking that because of the overcast day we had we may not get much for golden hour, and after a quick trek to a wildflower field and corn field it seemed like their creative minds just exploded! I think we heard ‘Just trust us, this looks great’ more time than we could count, and we replied each time, ‘we trust you!’ and we 100% did! We left that shoot with mud all over our shoes and some good stains on our clothes, but the photos we have seen from that hour are some of our favorite photos of the day! We truly are blessed to have had the opportunity to work with such a great couple, and will 100% be going back to them for any photography opportunity we have in the future!

We really liked working with them, they helped us feel calm on the stressful wedding day, we could be ourselves and have fun with the photo shoot. We love how they used their own talent to guide us on what would be good photo ideas instead of asking us what we would like all of the time, this is a sign of true talent! We absolutely love our photos, the quality and lighting is amazing. They were on time with getting the photos back to us and took a ton of photos. with a camera and someone who can capture moments and the Eldredge's definitely have both the skill and the artistic eye to capture your special day. My husband and I feel so incredibly blessed to have had them video our wedding. They were there from start to finish, and the outcome was simply amazing! coldest week of the entire year and proposed! He had Brian there to capture every second of that life changing moment. Brian hid behind a wall of bushes until the right moment and then he swiftly popped up out of no where and shot quietly and non invasively from every angle imaginable! His hands had to have been burning from how long he stood in the cold for us! The final product is unreal, every picture captures so many emotions and everything I felt in that time comes rushing back. Its truly breathtaking, I couldn't be happier! And if that wasn't enough, later that week Brian agreed to some last minute engagement photos for us. He hiked in the snow with us, carrying his camera, until we arrived at a beautiful (and frozen) waterfall! He took the most incredible photos and captured the scenery behind us while still keeping us the main focus. They're so easy to work with, always telling us where to put our hands, where to look, how to stand, etc. They truly put us at ease and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera! Their talent is truly like none other, Brian noticed us trying to take a selfie on my phone and offered to take the photo for us, and even the silly iPhone picture looked like it came from a professional camera! We can't wait to return to Speculator in a different season (hopefully warmer) to take more pictures of our family in the near future! e proposal! Most importantly, we felt so comfortable with them. It truly felt like we had been friends for years. Our pictures came out amazing, and we love all of them so much that we actually can't decide which one we want to use for our Save the Dates! Something that I found really awesome was that they gave us the option as to whether or not we wanted "more" fall foliage to be edited into our photos. I was really glad that they gave us this option and asked us what we wanted instead of just making a decision. They also send a few teaser photos the night of the session! Seeing the amazing teasers was the perfect way to end a magical day. I'd recommend them to anyone for any occasion that needs photographing!
