After trying to choreograph our first dance on our own we soon figured out we didnt have the patience, idea or clue of what whe were doing.... thank goodness help was closer than w...
e thought as we found Mike Rodriguez. He patiently spoke with us and tried to get to know us first before he started choreographing and when we came in the first class we were amazed on how much the moves he taught us matched our personalities. He not only gave us basic steps for our waltz but he gave us movements that reflected our personality thus making it easier for us to let go and break loose from our shells :). On our big day he contacted us to answer any of our questions and straightened our jitterbugs and when it came to the big moment our guests were swept away.... little did they know that this was our first time ever doing the waltz... little did WE know we could do it!!!! Would highly recommend to all future brides!!!
I would highly recommend this dance studio for a wedding choreography. I only had 2 weeks before my wedding and my husband and I decided that doing a real first dance at our weddin...
g would be very memorable and fun...instead of doing the typical "prom dance" sway seen at typical weddings. Despite the name of the studio, the instructors also know different ballroom dances! Our instructor was Mike Rodriguez, and he did a great job at teaching me and my husband the waltz basics and a waltz choreography within only 4 lessons, which was all we had time for 2 weeks before the wedding. Each lesson was about an hour to an hour and a half long. After we selected our first-dance song, our instructor came up with a simple, yet eye-catching choreography. It was simple enough for two people who have never danced waltz before to learn in a short amount of time, yet eye-catching enough for us and our guests to enjoy! Mike's choreography went very well with the "feel" of the music. He taught us several basic moves step-by-step, and also taught us how to make the most basic moves look elegant and dramatic! We received so many compliments on our first dance from our family and friends after the wedding! We really surprised them all!
