d the quote was more than acceptable! Of course, due to COVID, our original plans to get married in April 2020 at City Park quickly fell through and we had to scramble to reschedule to August. Donovan was extremely cooperative and got back to me very quickly on securing the new date. Then July comes around and we had to make the decision to downsize from 200 people at City Park to 60 people at an Airbnb. Donovan again was extremely helpful and accommodating and assured me that he could make this work, and he did! The day of the wedding, he set up everything himself, from the DJ booth in the living room, photobooth in the sitting room and uplighting in the backyard and it was perfect! We even asked for him to stay for an extra 3 hours and he agreed. The music was great because we had the typical wedding songs at the beginning and then the more exciting stuff toward the end. We honestly had the best time and we're so thankful for Donovan and his services. Could not recommend this DJ more!

Since we are from out of town just cancelling and rescheduling was not an option for us and plus we really wanted to get married. Donovan rallied and came to do our wedding a day earlier and really did an amazing job. Our new venue was much smaller than our other venue but he made it all work with the perfect music that we picked out. He was professional and did a great job keeping us on the dance floor the whole night long :)

omething that took me a while to come to terms with. That said, Donovan was great to work with. He answered my long questionnaire without complaint and was always a phone call/text/e-mail away. I was planning my wedding from New York, so knowing that he was responsive put me at ease. His website for music selection was impressive and fun to use and he stuck to our selections. We opted for the package that included a photobooth. We were very happy with the booth, photo quality and staff. We also opted for a slideshow to continuously play during our reception, and Donovan made that happen. All we had to do was provide the photos. Set up, sound quality, performance and friendliness lived up to our expectations. We would definitely recommend Donovan and staff!

Fire Entertainment totally delivered. Once the party music started, our guests didn't leave the dance floor, and it was still full when the last song of the night played. Donovan was great leading up to the event, answering any questions I had via email or text and being flexible when we wanted to add uplighting only a few weeks before the big day. We went with the premium package plus uplighting. He also provided microphones for our officiant and ceremony musicians. The prices were great and I loved that we could put all of our must play songs and reception timeline in his online system. Donovan also served as the MC by announcing all of the big ticket items in the reception such as cake cutting, group pictures, and even announcing the bar on Bourbon street where our after party would be. We heard from so many guests that it was one of the most fun weddings they had been to, and I know this wouldn't have been possible without Donovan! Look no further for a DJ!

, whether it be via email, Facebook messenger, etc. I am an extremely detail oriented person. So I created a list of all of the songs I wanted him to play (by the hour lol) and he played all of them. But what I loved is that he actually mixed the songs, not just played them back to back. The lighting set up was such a great addition too. It really helped with setting the vibes for the reception. Everyone had such a fun time dancing and my guest danced the majority of the time. Another bonus is that I got the photo booth with my wedding package. I LOVE photo booths at weddings. They help break the ice in the beginning when people are just standing around wondering what to do. I also received a USB of all the photos in the photo booth. So, a few weeks after my wedding, I went through all of the pictures of my guest and was dying laughing looking through all of them. Another thing to note... I am a lover of rap music. And not just the generic, mainstream rap music, I am talking ALL rap music. So at the tail end of the reception, when all of the champagne that was being handed to me started to effect me, I'm pretty sure I was requesting songs with some heinously offensive lyrics in them lol. Not sure if he ran out of time or if he was trying to save me from drunken self but I don't recall them being played. Either way, I'm glad they weren't played because I'm pretty sure some of the older guest may have been offended! Overall, Donovan is the bomb dot com... definitely happy that we hired him as our DJ and you should do the same :) #GeauxDJDonovan

I needed to have him there. Even through the week of the wedding, he was always responding fast, even with it being in the middle of his busy wedding season. He has always been professional, can play any type of music, is easy to contact and is just an overall amazing person. There is no one else that deserves the title of "Best DJ in New Orleans." Also, his photobooths are awesome, the lights are beautiful (he has plenty of different colors and beautiful displays. If you are looking for a DJ, look no further. Donovan has you covered.
