We hired Sir Duke for our wedding and it was the BEST decision!!! They were incredible and people are still talking about our wedding band months later. On The Beat played my wedding in October 2023 and they far exceeded my wife and my expectations. Everything from the contract negotiation to the pre-wedding planning to the actual event was extremely seamless and efficient. On the wedding night, the band absolutely "tore the house down." We had multiple guests tell us it was the best wedding band they had ever heard. I can't recommend using On The Beat enough! Marlon is a superstar performer. Would give 6 Stars if I could.

On The Beat Music Agency helped us find the most incredible band for our wedding! Rob and Megan were so wonderful from the get-go. They were extremely responsive and helpful in getting us connected with Sir Duke Band. We LOVED them! Completely made the night. On The Beat was incredible! We had high expectations and they exceeded them. Everyone in the band was so talented and brought amazing energy. It really set the tone for the wedding. The dance floor was packed the entire time. We made a list of our favorite songs and "do not play" songs and they really stuck to it. They asked us if we wanted them to wear all black or not. We told them to dress however they'd like and that was the right choice. They looked awesome. All of our guests told us how awesome they were. The MC was great as well. He was able to make everything run smoothly through intros, first dance, and everything. We couldn't recommend them enough!

Holy smokes this is literally the best band! I have so much to say about them - all positive. The band themselves absolutely crushed it and kept the party going! The musicians were top notch and so much fun! Also, the management of the band was exceptional. The week of our wedding we heard some surprising limitations from our venue and I sent an email to the band manager immediately. Within an hour, we were on a call brainstorming our options. The timeliness and their ability to pivot on such short notice was so impressive and we are so thankful for them.

Everyone left our wedding raving about our band. They not only nailed the vocals of every song, but they got the party going, were out dancing and singing in the middle of the dance floor with all the guests, and kept the party going. Rob and Megan were a pleasure to work with, and I can't say enough good things about the band. Truly the BEST!

Where do we even begin?? We found On The Beat through online recommendations. We were initially very impressed with their website and the very high reviews we read from previous clients. Coming from a musical background and family, the one aspect of our wedding we needed to NAIL was the entertainment. We also had guests coming from all around the world to visit Southern California for the very first time, so we wanted to make their travel worth every penny. Our goal was to keep as many elderly friends and family (who would have otherwise gone home after dinner) on the dance floor until the band closed out the venue. During the search, we went back and forth with different bands and DJs for over three months, but for some reason in the back of our minds we just had a feeling that On The Beat would guarantee us the true quality we were looking for with the price we were willing to pay. A few weeks later after our initial virtual interview with Robert and Megan, we decided to make the decision to hire On The Beat. Suffice it to say, they met and absolutely exceeded expectations in all areas. The band was praised all night and talked about even 3 months later! Robert and Megan made the planning process so easy for us. They laid out the contract for us early on to help us manage expectations for the big day. They also were SO flexible with our wishes. We had hoped to have a close family member play keyboard for the bridal processional. Robert and Megan made that happen without us having to worry about anything. The keyboard and sound was prepared and ready to go with an ample amount of time for my brother in-law to sound check and practice prior to the ceremony. They constantly made themselves available to us to answer any questions that we had throughout the planning process using their seamless client “one stop shop” website. They were also able to accommodate an additional trumpet player within a month of the wedding. One of the aspects that also made On The Beat stand out from its competitors was that they gave us a blank Spotify playlist to let us fill in whatever songs we liked. At the wedding, they performed at least 90% of the songs that we had requested. It was an absolute blast. To those of you reading this review, look no further for your entertainment needs. Robert and Megan will take great care of you. If you want your wedding to be the greatest party you have ever hosted, HIRE THIS COMPANY! We are trying to find every excuse to hire On the Beat again, so its highly possible that we might hire them again for our future child’s 1 year old birthday party! HAHA Robert and Megan, thank you for making our wedding a day we will never forget for the rest of our lives. We appreciate the hard work that your team put on and we will never forget you all!

The best!!!! I highly recommend them. Very professional from signing the contract to my daughter and son in law's wedding at the Beverly Hills Hotel. We had around 350 people and everyone was on the dance floor and telling us that they are the best band. Some of the band members even joined the group on the dance floor for a few songs which was so much fun!

Rob and his team were absolutely phenomenal! We had The Mixtape band play at our wedding in Temecula, CA and they could not have been any better! Raw talent runs through that group, from the singers, to the instrumentalists, to the sound people/crew. I'm not lying when I say that literally ALL of our guests told us "that was the best wedding band we've ever seen!" The three vocalists were jaw-droppingly talented. All of the instrumentalists were incredibly talented as well AND they could sing! I'm pretty sure everyone in the band had at least one solo on the mic. The guitarist also played acoustic guitar during our ceremony and he was top-notch. He easily created his own cover to our song request for the bride's entrance and it was beautiful. They handled all sound and lighting for the entire day, and it all went off without a hitch. Rob himself managed and MC'd the evening and was professional through and through. Overall, On The Beat and The Mixtape band exceeded expectations. They read the crowd's vibe all night and adjusted perfectly to what we responded to. They interacted with the guests so well and with much frequency that it felt like they were part of the family. If you end up booking On The Beat for you wedding, you will not regret it (and also invite us to your wedding so we can experience it again HA!)

On the Beat is bada**! We chose Soul Station and could not have been happier!! They had everyone on the dance floor all night long. Everyone was so talented and professional! They definitely exceeded our expectations of having a live band at our wedding reception. Our guests are still raving!!

We hired OTB Music Agency this past weekend for our wedding. Our band was named Sir Duke and I honestly could write for days about how incredible this band truly is! I knew since I was a little girl that I would want live music at my wedding one day and boy did I get it! I made sure to reserve a good chunk of my wedding fund just for the band itself because it was high on my list! My only regret is that, they didn’t get to play for as long as I’d hoped but that was all a timeline issue on our end and had nothing to do with them. When they did start, they were even more amazing than their videos on IG or YouTube. I should have got their names, but the lead singers were absolute perfection, they could all belt like you wouldn’t believe! They played all the hits you want to hear at weddings and even offered to sing my father of the bride dance song live for me and my dad which absolutely made his night! I was on the dancefloor for almost their entire set because I didn’t ant to miss it! It was also like 100 degrees where we got married and they were completely professional and just sang/danced through it like it didn’t affect them In the slightest. A couple of things I might change were minor but my husband and I nonetheless noticed them as a few of our guests did as well. After we said I do and kissed, they accidentally started playing one of our processional songs for a couple of seconds instead of our “just married” recessional song. No big deal but it did throw us off a tad. Another thing was more of an issue for me and to be honest it could have been on my wedding panner but I feel like better communication could have been had between her and the band once the MC was to announce our grand entrance. The MC announced us almost 30 seconds before we reached the grand entrance starting point so our guests were a bit thrown off and confused as to where we were lol as were my new husband and I. We were walking as fast as we could to get there so the guests wouldn’t be looking around for too long, so it was a bit of a letdown of a grand entrance that I was really looking forward too. All-in-all, I would hire them in a heartbeat again because the entertainment was absolutely incredible and they were worth it! Thank you OTB or making our reception a party to remember, hope to be able to hire again in the future!

We had The Mix Tape at our wedding, and they were outstanding. They really got the crowd going, lots of energy, interactive, and really made the wedding fun for all guests. Rob was super helpful and made sure that the night was timed perfectly.

There are not enough words to express our gratitude and how we (and our guests) were so impressed by our live duo! They made our ceremony so special and they kicked off the festivities with cocktail hour which everyone enjoyed! They are such talented musicians and our guests said they were so kind! We waited 2 years for this moment and even through 2 postponements, on the beat always had great communication with us! They definitely exceeded all our expectations!

If I could give 15 stars, I would. The band was FABULOUS, but their music wasn't the best part. Weeks before the wedding, the agency contacted my daughter and her fiance to ask about their music tastes. After the call, Meredith called -- excited about the conversation. She felt heard and was confident that the music would be great. It was even better than that.

On the Beat was incredible on our wedding day - they were exactly what we were hoping for! The communication leading up the wedding day was a bit spotty and made me nervous, but the musicians were amazing and did exactly what we asked for. I was so impressed!

An incredible evening. OTB were a HUGE hit, the playlist was executed to perfection. Robert and his team were fantastic to work with. No one left the dance floor for hours straight. Such a memorable and energetic band, everyone loved them. Book this band for your wedding, you will not regret it.

We highy recommend "On The Beat." Here's a list of just a few things they did: - They created a custom version of our first dance song (it was an atypical song which needed to be slowed down and altered to work) and sent it ahead of time so that we could choreograph a dance to it. - They learned several songs at our request and performed one in an encore performance that brought the house down - They were so good that our friends, getting married next year, cancelled their band to hire "On The Beat" instead.

I could not rave more about Sir Duke and On The Beat!!! Rob and Megan were so incredibly wonderfully leading up to the wedding day. We collaborated as a team to make sure our wedding was the most epic dance party possible and they EXCEEDED all expectations. The band played a mix of oldies and current songs so every generation was on the dance floor. Our guests started on the dance floor during the 'dinner music' as salads were being served and never left. The dance floor was beyond packed the entire evening and Sir Duke really engaged with the crowd. We got married over a month ago and every guest is still talking about our band!! If I could hire them for every event, I would!

I don’t even know where to begin with this review to show my appreciation. My husband and I booked The Mixtape from On the Beats to perform at our wedding in July and magical is an understatement to how the night turned out. Considering that we did not hire a wedding coordinator prior to the wedding, and our venue was non-inclusive of anything, you can imagine how determined I was to get every detail right for our special day. That meant that there were an endless amount of questions and revisions along the way but the owner, Robert Perkins, patiently attended to all of my concerns and walked through this journey with us wholeheartedly. Up until the wedding, I was extremely on edge about the outcome of the overall ambiance. However, once the day came, the musicians spoke for themselves. From the intimate string trio for the ceremony/cocktail hour to the 6-piece band we hired for the reception/dance, it was all so seamlessly put together, creating the perfect ambiance. We specifically requested Fina and Hudson to lead the band, and the power in their voice was able to both shake and silence the entire room with one note. We requested that they perform lounge music, some Leon Bridges, and jazz during dinner while we selected a few dance songs for the end of the night. All of our guests watched in awe as they performed every single song that we requested and they effortlessly flowed with the energy of the crowd. It felt as though we were watching a celebrity band perform and even the Korean elderly parents/grandparents were jamming and dancing along to the music. Everyone was completely mesmerized and enveloped in their talented voices and classy performance and I truly believe that our night would not have been as perfect as it was had we not hired On the Beats. The owner, Rob, stuck by the entire night and was the emcee for us and although there was a slight language barrier with my Korean guests, he was so personable to everyone and put a smile on all of our faces. He even substituted as a drummer for the duration of one song, which meant a lot considering he was once the drummer for Michael Buble!! If you’re ever on the fence about hiring a band, trust me and hire one. I, as well as all of our guests, have been to our many fair shares of weddings but everyone said that nothing compared to their experience with ours. The band created an environment where there is authentic energy and transparent love. Rob and his team are incredible to work with as we navigated the adversity caused by COVID during our wedding planning. We ultimately had to move our wedding location which resulted in us not being able to have the band we had contracted for play our event, but Rob did everything he could to provide the highest quality service to help us navigate the 'change of plans' process. We would highly recommend Rob & team and hope to plan a follow-up event in the near future where we can work together again!

The Sir Duke Band was the life of the party! Our dance floor was packed all night long, and at the end of the night our guest still wanted them to keep singing. Talking to family and friends after our wedding they have all said that their favorite part of the night was the band and I would have to agree. I have never heard them perform live and was so blown away at the talent they provided us throughout our entire day. We had them performing at our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception which was the best decision we made. Rob was fantastic to work with and truly listened to our wants and needs as well as understanding our music style to make sure we had the best experience, which we did! The band was absolutely amazing. They had high energy, a huge list of songs and definitely had everyone out on the dance floor for hours! They were able to read the crowd and never played a song that wasn’t a hit. People still bring up how awesome the band was months later. Rob and the band were the perfect emcees. They kept the flow going at just the right pace, mixing in speeches or cake cutting during the band’s breaks. They worked with us on our tight timeline and the venue’s restrictions. They were no issues at the wedding, and we couldn’t be happier with them, both as the emcees and band. Rob worked with us leading up to our wedding to make sure that everything was in line with our expectations. We had multiple calls to go over all the details and it all ended up perfectly. He accommodated all of our requests for special songs and made sure we had what we needed. Rob communicated constantly with us. He informed us of a change that needed to be made because of availability but worked with us to find a better replacement at no additional cost. We couldn’t recommend them more. If they are available for your wedding book them. Simple as that.

Rob and the entire On The Beat team complete blew us away for our wedding day. Let me break it down just how awesome they were. THE SERVICE: Rob was in constant contact with us to help strategize musicians for our entire wedding day (we used them for ceremony music, dinner music, and then the reception band). He orchestrated with his sound engineers to make sure everything was in order. It can be nerve wracking not knowing exactly the quality you are going to get once the day arrives but TRUST US, you can rest assured when hiring Rob. THE BAND: the band KILLED IT. Not only did they perfectly incorporate our “must have” song list, they aced every other artist in their arsenal. THE PRICE: there were band quotes we got back for double the price of On The Beat. I cannot tell you enough what a great deal and exceptional talent you are receiving. Our guests are still talking about the band at our wedding. So, so lucky to have had them.

On the Beat is a must-hire! We hired On the Beat for our wedding in August 22. It was the best decision we made for the wedding—I can’t say enough good things about the band. On The Beat’s manager Rob is incredibly professional, respectful, thoughtful, and detail-oriented. We spoke with him several times before the wedding, and we were so impressed by his professionalism, courtesy, and general kindness. You can tell he is genuinely a really great person and he is great at his job. The band was AMAZING!! It was the best band I have ever heard at a private event. The entire wedding was on the dance floor. I just couldn’t believe music this good was at my wedding. All of our guests raved about the band-it was the absolute hit of the night. There are not enough accolades I can say about On the Beat. Their music is incredible — they have YouTube videos/samples that you can hear for yourself, and all I can say is that if you like what you hear, it’s even better in person. But you’re getting more than just a polished band — you’re getting a professional operation. They don’t just play a list of songs that you provide them (which we did before our wedding) — they were gauging the mood on the dance floor, and they adjusted the music (in particular, the tempo) to fit the moment. And while we had only expected them to play music after dinner service, a couple band members performed beautiful solos during dinner (the keyboardist, in particular, absolutely crushed a rendition of U2’s “All I Want is You” — we stopped eating our food so we could soak in the moment). As a bonus, Rob and his team also made sure that all of our sound needs for the wedding ceremony were taken care of, including mics, amplifiers, etc. On the Beat is worth hiring for their music alone, but when you consider their attention to detail and genuine desire to do everything possible to make your wedding special, you simply can’t go wrong. Everyone wants their wedding to be perfect, and if that’s the case, On the Beat is for you.

"On The Beat" put together the band for my dad's wedding. Everything about it was absolutely amazing. I'm a professional musician myself, and (naturally) have very high standards for live music. The band was so funky and had everyone dancing the whole night, and everything about the experience was beyond professional. Honestly, I couldn't recommend On The Beat more.

I'm going to be honest... as the bride, I am a bit jealous that our guests have (and continued to) compliment how fantastic Sir Duke/On The Beat was MORE than they've complimented how I looked on my wedding day :) I am not exaggerating when I write that our guests cannot stop talking about how the band was a game changer and really brought energy and liveliness to our wedding party. We had been to several friends weddings with live bands and knew that just about any band or DJ would not suffice for our crowd as we needed entertainers that would be able to cater to a wide range of friends and family. OTB/Sir Duke was exactly what we were searching for and more! They performed feel good, dance music that our generation and our grand/parents' generation danced to all night- seamlessly mixing covers of Bruno Mars, Prince, Frank Sinatra, Beyonce, and Mariah Carey- who does that?! We could not have chosen a better band for one of the most important days of our lives. I was a very thorough bride, making spreadsheets upon spreadsheets comparing vendors from florists to entertainment, and when I first spoke on the phone with Rob, the band manager, I knew he would be able to deliver our exact wedding vision- AND he did! Most importantly, Rob worked with us to make sure we stayed within our budget. Not only were we able to book the band to perform during our wedding reception, but OTB also supplied the sound system for our ceremony, managed the recessional and processional music coordination with our planner, helped us book the band guitarist to play songs during cocktail hour after the ceremony, AND MC'd the entire night. Rob even met with us in person 2-3 weeks before our big day to review the day of timeline, special dance songs, required song lists, and give us a sneak peek of the set list he already had in mind. In addition to the 6 piece band (including 1 male and 1 female lead vocalists), Rob and a sound engineer were also on site the day of our wedding to make sure the performance was perfect. Unbeknownst to me, he even worked with my husband to coordinate a surprise performance with his groomsmen and the band. I cannot recommend OTB music agency enough for your special day.

It’s not easy when choosing the band to perform on the most important day of your life. We knew we wanted great voices, musicians, and song variety, but we were honestly blown away by this group. They surpassed all of our expectations with their incredible voices (even better live than the videos) and musical talent. They don’t just play, they pllaaaay and they can’t just sing, they can saaanng! The best part of all of it was how helpful and specific they were to us and making our day special. Our first meeting was with Rob the director and we knew right away that this was the right group. Rob is a kind and thoughtful leader and he put us at ease when he told us the level of responsibility he takes for making everything perfect. He even helped me create a special moment for my bride when he facilitated a special performance where I got to sing with the band. I sang Fly me to the Moon and the band helped me nail it. All in all, this group helped make our night perfect. We danced, we sang, we celebrated. Since then we’ve heard from every guest at our wedding that the band was phenomenal. So if you too want to create a perfect night with memories that will last a lifetime, you’ve come to the right group.

When my wife and I sat down to plan our wedding we had a vision of an unforgettable night surrounded by the people we love enjoying the best of everything that we could possibly supply/provide. On June 30th 2019, at a sweet Malibu venue, our vision came to life and to say the night was perfect would be bold - but perhaps not overstated. It's hard to capture in words (even for a humble verbal painter), the ambiance, the energy, the pure joy that the Sir Duke band emanated from the stage. It's on those rare occasions when we our decision exceeds expectations that life seems to vibrate in harmony and sound and color are never quite as vibrant as in those moments. As I looked out from the bobbing sea of crisp tuxedos and fresh evening gowns, moving in time with the sounds of Sir Duke I knew this one of those occasions. To say the band exceeded expectations is a vast understatement and perhaps the only way to comprehend their virtuosity is simply to make that decision and book them. Quite simply put, Sir Duke exceeds expectations.

Rob Perkins was great to work with! The band, Soul Station, was fantastic and had very high energy during the entire reception. The ceremony music (a guitarist and a bassist) was absolutely beautiful and really set the tone. We got a lot of compliments from our guests on how great the music was. The energy was very high the whole evening, and the dance floor was full (something I was really hoping for!). Plus the horah was everything we had dreamed of plus more. Most of our guests had never danced to a horah before but the band got the dance floor full and get everyone moving and having a great time.

Where do I begin!? From the moment I saw these guys perform at the meet and great till the actual night of the wedding, nothing was short of spectacular. They were incredibly easy to work with and very reachable whenever there were unexpected issues that came up with the wedding planning. Robert Perkins is not only an amazing manager but made the entire process seem as if I had 2 wedding coordinators. I highly recommend booking a band instead of a Dj for any wedding or event. On The Beat Music Agency was great to work with! Rob sent us plenty of ideas for bands and helped us land on the perfect band (Too Marvelous Trio) for our wedding. Rob clarified all the details ahead of time and worked with the venue to make sure everything was squared away in advance of our wedding. The band was on time, professional, and fantastic! They did everything as we planned out and so many of our guests complimented how good they sounded and how fun the music was. The band was versatile and moved quickly from one part of the venue to the other, and was overall a big hit! Cannot recommend enough!

Easily the best part of our wedding, both the ceremony and reception. Had endless compliments about how much of an impact the band made. They sound amazing! Rob is incredibly organized and professional, and made the process incredibly easy and fun at the same time. I wouldn't recommend anyone else. If there's anything you're going to spend a bit extra on for your wedding, these guys take it to a new level.

Route 66 played at our wedding, and they were absolutely perfect! Very punctual and such an amazing classic sound, they really made our wedding magical! The company overall is great. Very responsive, communicative, and easy to work with. So happy that I went with On The Beat, and Route 66!

Robert helped us coordinate a full service wedding DJ, as well as a piano and bass player for our cocktail hour. Everyone was punctual, performed beautifully, and even came dressed according to our chosen wedding theme. It’s also worth mentioning that our wedding was a 5 hour round trip commute for all the performers, and no one complained. On top of all this, Robert was incredibly easy to work with, very well organized, and prompt in his communications. I don’t plan on getting married again, but if I did, Robert would be my first call.

We're so very glad we met Rob and were able to have Sir Duke as our wedding band! Rob was a pleasure to work with and is very professional being extremely entrenched in the music industry. The band did an awesome job...all musicians were exceptionally talented. We loved the variety in vocals and instruments, enjoying throughout the evening several special instrumental and vocal showcases. We definitely recommend Sir Duke to anyone who's looking for a high quality band and will keep your Guests entertained and dancing the entire evening! I have very high expectations and they were exceeded. Love them. LOVE. They saved us when our pianist dropped out last minute. SO THRILLED with the incredible talent and professionalism! The communication was amazing and the quality of the talent was fabulous. They're now our go-to anytime we need a musician or band.

On the Beat sent us the *best* band for our wedding and were such a delight to work with. Disclaimer: I'm a professional musician. No, really - not like your cousin who DJs on Tuesday nights - it's what I do for a living. As such, I'm deathly allergic to bad live music - I feel embarrassed for them, I'm all on-edge, and I can't concentrate on anything else... it's just a mess. In any case, I COULD NOT HAVE BEEN HAPPIER with the band OTB sent my wife and I for our special day. They were lovely guys who were very accommodating, played wonderfully, and were really a great presence. There isn't enough said about how important the personal factor is when dealing with wedding vendors, but these people are going to be spending your wedding with you, so it's important that they're the kind of folks you'd want to hang out with on your wedding day! OTB took care of all of that and really just took all the worry out of booking a musical act for our day. Thanks so much to On the Beat for their wonderful support and professionalism - we'll definitely be calling them for events in the future.

The quick: You will love this band! You won’t regret hiring them. The background: I searched and listened to a few bands and also debated about just going for a DJ. I am totally glad we went with not just any band, but THIS (Soul Station) band. The specifics: They sounded amazing! That goes without saying. Robert was great with his communication and spoke directly with the on site coordinator for all the logistics. We just spoke over the phone and email about song preferences and the next thing I know they were playing awesome music when all the guests walked into the reception area. I believe they learned a song for us since it wasn’t in their normal playlist (which is super long and eclectic). They listened closely to what was going on during the speeches and even chimed in during the perfect moment when a tambourine was mentioned by the maid of honor. The lead singer came out into the crowd and had them all dancing and singing. They are professionals and you can tell they have done a few weddings ;) Robert has great ideas and knows exactly what will work for your wedding. I cannot recommend them enough. Recommendation: we went with a 7 piece band and then added a last minute vocalist (as surprise to my wife). Get at least one female singer. Robert sent a playlist to us and we highlighted the songs we liked and they requested some more. From there he got a taste of what we were looking for and handled the rest!
