On The Town Photo

On The Town Photo did a fantastic job at my wedding. My wedding itinerary was constantly fluctuating and Fally just rolled with the punches. She gave great guidance on how I should angle and arrange my body for the most flattering look. She captured lots of great candid moments. She also used a different lens (fish eye?) for some shots that produced a beautiful effect. Very happy overall.

When planning our wedding, my fiancé and I knew right away that wedding photography wasn't something either of us were willing to spend a great deal of money on. We're not glamorous people, we don't care about looking back fondly on old photo-memories we've created, we're just a couple of kids in love, who, for one day only, would be wearing formal wear and needed that moment documented on film. So I began the difficult task of finding a decent photographer who could take some quick pics of us and hopefully photoshop some beauty into them. We ended up choosing Fally Afani, not only because her pricing was VERY reasonable, but because we're familiar with her photography from the local music scene and we genuinely liked her laid-back personality. Neither my fiancé nor I are particularly photogenic people, and I mentioned this to Fally at our first meeting. I also said, "I don't care about poses and getting pictures with bridesmaids and groomsmen doing obviously forced, stupid things--I just want our photos to feel natural. We're just chill people and we want to be portrayed that way. No shenanigans." I gave no further direction, no list of poses I wanted her to get, no locations to travel to for background scenery--I simply said "the wedding is here, photos will be from 4:00 - 5:00, then we'll get married." Fally delivered. Big time. The day of the wedding, I was obviously a little distracted with everything going on, but Fally was a pro. She herded our families and directed them expertly to their positions. She knew just how to get everyone to look natural and smile genuinely so no one looked like they were being tortured into smiling for the camera. She moved us from scene to scene, taking as many shots as needed until she was sure she had "the one". After the wedding, I assumed it would be a few weeks of editing the photos before we could see them. TWO DAYS LATER, she contacted me to tell me she had all the photographs edited and ready to go. I nervously opened the files, dreading the weird smile or lazy eye I always seemed to put on in photos. Upon seeing the first photo, my jaw dropped. I LOOKED LIKE A DAMN QUEEN. I was gorgeous! My husband was GORGEOUS! Our wedding looked like something out of a movie! I was absolutely astonished. I never expected for me and my family to look so good! Fally Afani, you wonderful magician, you've created MAGIC here today! Even my mother, who is rarely 100% satisfied, raved about the photos! It must also be said that Fally isn't strict about the photo printing rights, which I loved. I was free to share my photos with whomever and print as many copies as I'd like. Words cannot express my gratitude to Fally Afani for perfectly capturing my wedding day. Truly, she captured on film the way I felt inside--beautiful and loved. Never again will I underestimate the power of a skilled photographer. And I will not hesitate to recommend Fally to anyone and everyone looking for a patient, affordable, and above all, talented photographer for their special moments.
