My family has been buying cakes from Once in a Blue Moon Bakery for big events – first communion, milestone birthdays, graduation – since the early 2000s. So it was no question that I would ask them to provide dessert for our wedding! We had delicious cupcakes and a cutting cake, as well as several brownie/bar trays. They were accommodating with vegan and gluten free options, too. We love Blue Moon forever.

My husband and I were budgeting a lot and cake was a place we planned to save money. I had a strict budget, and Once in a Blue Moon Bakery worked with me to get a budget friendly cake option that was beautiful and more importantly delicious. I had reached out two a few bakeries, but Once in a Blue Moon Bakery was the most helpful, most responsive, and friendliest.
Our guests have raved about our cake. My dad has repeatedly stated that our cake is the best wedding cake he had ever had. My husband and I have already recommended them to anyone who will listen! They have several options to select between. We picked strawberry and lemon for our mousse and it was amazing. Plus, they provide an anniversary cake as well! I cannot wait to get more next year! I communicated to them what I imagined for the cake and sent a few pictures and they did the rest! The cake arrived on our wedding day on time and was even more beautiful than I imagined! They did an incredible job and it was delicious too! We had plenty of cake and so a lot of people got seconds and said how much they liked it. It was a wonderful part of our wedding day!

the back that made the wedding cake even better! Our guests loved it and the groomscake looked so good- in buttercream! I can't believe the skill and how smooth it was. I thought they had delivered fondant at first because it was so perfect.
The flavors were all perfect since you can do one each tier and our guests ate so much that they had to go cut more from the back (twice!). The red velvet groomscake was divine. We did a tier of yellow cake and strawberry, a tier of chocolate and raspberry, and one of white and lemon. The whole cake was almond buttercream and it was so light.
I love that they give you a free little cake on your 1 year so you don't have to freeze a tier. Thank goodness they do since our guests ate a lot of cake!

The tasting was great and the price SUPER reasonable. I opted for two 8" cakes and one 10" cake for display and then 2 sheet cakes in the back (so total 5), each in a different flavor (carrot, lemon, vanilla/vanilla, vanilla/chocolate, and chocolate/vanilla) with differing, but simple, decoration... all 3 layers (we saved a small amount of money by having 3 instead of 4 layers, because... who cares!) and all were fresh and exceedingly delicious. The cake table looked great and we had many compliments on how good the cake was.

I gave Blue Moon an inspiration picture of my cake and they couldn’t have made it more like the picture I gave them! Added bonus-they will make you a small 6” cake for your year anniversary so that you don’t need to eat old frozen cake to celebrate. I will definitely be ordering from them when I need cakes in the future.

out of all 5 of the bakeries we had cake tastings! Everyone at the wedding raved about how gorgeous and yummy the cake was. They are totally flexible in their designs, and tell you about all the different costs right up front so there are no hidden fee's. Very professional and great value. I'd recommend them to anyone!
