Jon was absolutely amazing. He was kind and very knowledgeable. He will do anything you need for the music and he records videos of the night, it’s amazing how he got everything that night. He really made the night and did such an amazing job, I did not want a dj at first (because I was being cheap) but after seeing how amazing he did it was well worth every penny spent. Would highly recommend.

y wildest dreams and it was more than I could have ever asked for. Jon from Once Upon a Wedding was a huge part of why everything was so perfect. From my first call with Jon I could tell he loved his job and saw us as family rather than clients. He is a warm kind and caring person and then came through even on the phone. When we set up our first meeting at our venue he took notes and asked us thoughtful questions about our vision for our wedding. Throughout the planning phase Jon and I had several calls every few weeks to go over all the details. I was blown away by how easy he made my planning. He had email questionnaires for myself and my fiancée to complete and asked us detailed questions about each other which added amazing personality to our wedding. Jon was so kind and easy to work with, any idea I came up with he was extremely enthusiastic about making it happen. I looked forward to every call with him during the planning stages. When people asked me if planning was stressful I said no, I have Jon and he’s amazing, and he truly is. November 1st 2025 our special day came and I couldn’t believe how perfectly it came together. Jon arrived at 10 am and started decorating the reception, organizing the ceremony and coordinating with my venue and their team to get everything in place. His attention to detail was incredible. Our ceremony was filled with so many special moments we had planned and it was amazing seeing it come together. Jon officiated our wedding in addition to being our coordinator and DJ. He made the ceremony so special. So many of our guests came up and told us how amazing they thought it was. When I walked into my reception it was everything I could have imagined and more, beautifully decorated with fun music and lighting surrounding everyone we love. Jon made sure to check in with us personally and kept us on schedule for a great day. I can’t thank him enough for a special surprise he provided us, our whole wedding, beautiful captured on video for us to always remember and enjoy. There are no words for how much this gift means to us. I hope that Jon knows how special he made our day, how much we enjoyed working with him and how he truly has a special gift for what he does. We are forever grateful for Jon and Once Upon a Wedding for our wonderful day.

On top of that, he captured special videos and little mementos throughout the night that we’ll cherish forever. kept all the details in check. Jon met with us several times before the wedding to confirm our needs and wants. He drove up to attend our rehearsal and arrived at our site early the next day to set up in three different locations at the venue for all the events. His pricing is incredibly reasonable for all that he offers. He provided videos from the entire day and sent those to us within one day of the wedding. He kept the night moving and the dance floor was never empty and there was no lull in the night at all. Jon and Anlexys were amazing to work with. Jon and Once Upon a Wedding is the full package. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

The day of the wedding him and his wife were there from 9:00 a.m. till 12:00 a.m. they were the last group of people besides me and my husband to leave the venue. He made sure that everything was left in order. I must say he was my lifesaver in some situations lol. I would definitely recommend Jon for your next event.

We chose to make our own playlist for the night of and Jon was amazing at working all our needs in so that everything flowed beautifully. 2. When I spoke to Jon and we went over music, timing, and what we wanted I told him I wanted to introduce my parents for a dance for them, and also told him not to cut my dances short when he asked if thats something I wanted to do.
To start, I found out after my wedding that Jon had been repremanding my guests about having their cell phones out before I even walked down the aisle. That was not his place and he necer asked anyone about what we wanted; in fact I was hoping people would take candid pictures. Many guest assumed he was there with the photographer and that is why he was making them put their phones away.
Then during our special dances, he cut every one of them short. Even our father/daughter dance! The song I chose specifically talked about the daughter getting ready for her wedding in the third verse, which no one got to hear as he decided to chop it short.
When it came time to surprise my parents by having their own special dance, he outright told me he was going to introduce it. I told him twice that I had planned on surprising them myself, and he told me no; he would do it. I did not want to cause a scene at my own wedding so I decided to let him.
Jon had asked us to send him any songs we might want to hear during the night. We sent him about 10ish songs, with links to them to make sure there was no confusion on what versions. We also told him, AND wrote on ALL of his forms we filled out, that it was 90's country theme and to not deviate from that as mush as possible. We ended up hearing maybe 4 of the songs we sent him, and had a "lovely" mix of 70's and 80's "pop" and other genres of music, which is just not us. When our guests started to leave, my husband asked him to play one of the songs we sent him a link to as it was an inside joke between us and wanted our friends to hear it before they left. What we heard, rather than the regular version we sent, was a weird rendition that almost sounded like a reworked karaoke version with no lyrics except the chorus.
To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. The only reason it took me so long to post a review is because my parents paid for his services and all in all our guests had a good time. I would NOT hire Jon again.
