One Girl Cookies

We’ve been eating at One Girl Cookies for years, so we knew they were the cake to beat! No other bakery came close in terms of flavor and texture. Jennifer and the team were wonderful – they agreed to make an old favorite of ours that was no longer on the menu, and it was beyond delicious. We ordered brownies for the guest gift bags, which were such a hit that one guest wants me to send her more via mail, and we were able to design a custom sticker for the cellophane bags. We were also able to customize the design for our sugar cookie plaques that we used as favors, which looked stunning, tasted great, and were a big hit. With their wonderful combination of professionalism, beauty, and absolutely scrumptious products, you can’t go wrong if you pick One Girl Cookies!

We were overall very happy with our experience for our wedding cake. The tasting process was a lot of fun, where we went to the store and got to try different combinations of cakes, frostings, and fillings. We fell in love with the chocolate cake and raspberry curd filling. For the wedding, we decided to do a smaller display cake with sheet cakes for our guests. The cake looked beautiful, and our guests said it was delicious. Our only concern was that when my husband and I did the cake cutting, we didn’t really taste the raspberry. However, when we brought the rest of the cake home and ate it over the next week, we realized that it didn’t quite go all the way to the edges, so the flavor was stronger in the center of the cake. I would have liked the filling flavor to come through a little more, but the cake was still delicious.

One Girl Cookies delivers delightful cakes and makes the process incredibly easy. Highly recommend them!

Working with One Girl Cookies was wonderful. It was easy to scheduled a tasting and the tasting was fun and stress free. Ordering my cake was also stress free and I was helped along the way. The delivery and set up went very smoothly. The cake was absolutely delicious and I am so sad I have to wait a year to eat what is waiting for me in my freezer!

This small, Brooklyn bakery which makes the most delicious cookies and cakes, made a big hit with our guests! Not only did they love the cookies, but the presentation—little white boxes with silver band and ribbon, with an attached “thank you” note to our guests— was a lovely and festive addition to the tables. It was a pleasure to work with Jennifer Hughes, Event Coordinator for One Girl. She was very helpful in placing the order, insuring its accuracy, and delivering them to our wedding venue. Jennifer also took the time to email me after the wedding to congratulate us. The entire process was easy and seamless, and it was delightful to see the boxes on the tables at the reception. Highly recommend One Girl Cookies! After being unable to get the cake that we wanted (from a vendor outside of NYC at the Jersey shore that closed for the season before our wedding), One Girl Cookies offered to make their version of our dream cake. It was fantastic! They were so accommodating and helpful with the planning, as I changed my mind about having one cake or a cake bar or a dessert bar a few times. The cake was a big hit, and we can't wait to eat it on our anniversary!

We wanted for a dessert bar in lieu of a traditional cake and One Girl Cookies was wonderful in bringing that idea to life. The tasting was really fun and filling. With the dessert bar option, we were able to choose eight desserts and the glass and paper products used in the table decoration. They also provided favor bags so that guests can take some goodies home (which our guests fully took advantage of!). Everything tasted delicious and looked beautiful. The only negative thing I can think of was longer than usual delays in response to emails, but we planned far enough in advance that this didn't really effect anything.

Our wedding cake from One Girl Cookie is still being talked about by our guests, almost 2 months later! OGC executed our cake beautifully, and were easy to work with. Most of all, and I say this as an intense lover of all baked goods, it tasted AMAZING. We had a four-tier vanilla cake with vanilla frosting on the outside, and raspberry jam and cream cheese frosting (!!) on the inside. They are competitively priced, and were down the street from our wedding venue, Deity. We highly recommend One Girl Cookie and plan on ordering cakes for special occas in the future!

My favourite part was attending the tasting. It was a fun experience seeing the shop, walking through their kitchen, and of course tasting various flavours. In the end we chose a raspberry and lemon flavoured cake.

DELICIOUS!!! And beautiful!! We ordered a small 3 tier cutting cake, a mix of mini and full size cupcakes, and our favors from One Girl Cookies for our wedding and we were definitely not disappointed. Out cake was stunning – it was red velvet with cream cheese buttercream frosting – but the red velvet cake was ombre – going from red to light pink. Just so pretty and special! We had a mix of both full size and mini cupcakes with either flowers or glitter sprinkles decorating them. We also did mixed flavors of cupcakes – red velvet, lemon, chocolate, and vanilla. We are still getting compliments on the cupcakes! Our favors were mini pink and white cookies to match the color scheme of our wedding which were also delicious and were packaged in cellophane with a printed ribbon. Rebecca was so easy to work with and so helpful. I highly recommend One Girl Cookies – so yummy and pretty!!!

Rebecca at One Girl Cookies was great to work with. We did not want a typical tall, multi-tiered cake covered in fondant. We wanted a simply styled cake that actually tasted good and that's exactly what they delivered. We decided to have one small, multi-tiered cake that we cut and 4 other single tiered cakes that were all different flavors so guests had a variety of options. We didn't get to have much cake the night of the wedding but had our catering package some for us to take home and enjoyed it for breakfast the next day!

We loved their cupcakes and wanted to use them, but the manager wouldn't give us a tasting! We thought that was very unusual. We have only tried 2 of their flavors and wanted at least 4 flavors for the cupcakes and maybe a slicing cake. NO WAY we would place an order without a tasting.

We didn't do much in the way of a traditional wedding, no religious ceremony, no bridal party and almost no cake. However we were at One Girl Cookies one fine early summer afternoon and decided to try a piece of their chocolate-dulce-de-leche cake. So tasty we decided that was going to be our wedding cake. So no white traditional cake but who cares when it tastes this good. Rave revues from everyone at the wedding too. And Dawn and her crew at One Girl worked with us too so we did have one tiered, 3 layered, traditional cake but then were able to purchase two regular 1 layered cakes to cut down on cost. Delicious, I wish I had more...

We ordered my American wedding cake from One Girl Cookies. We worked with a few different members of the One Girl Team and everyone was pleasant and easy to work with. We went with a vanilla cake with mocha espresso fillings and vanilla swiss meringue buttercream with a simple color band and floral design. It was absolutely delicious! We had a little misunderstanding about the design but One Girl was more than willing to work things out with me. Wonderful bakery!

Everything! The owner of the bakery and her pastry chef were absolutely wonderful to work with. They had excellent flavors to choose from gave me the best tasting by far that I had anywhere the designs that they did were simple (what I wanted) but SO cute and clever. The price was OUTSTANDING and they were always accessible and accommodating. Best of all it was the most delicious cake that my husband or I have ever had (and everyone at our reception said it was the best wedding cake they'd ever had by far)!;They don't work with fondant but if you're not set on this (pretty flavorless) option they're wonderful!
