I’m DJ Brian Harwell, a Chicago native who has called the Bay Area home since 2011. I began DJing in the early 2000s under the guidance of my mentor, Chicago DJ Kevin McWoodson. What started with college parties—including crowds of more than 500 people—grew into a lasting passion for using music to create memorable celebrations. Over the years, I’ve played weddings, reunions, birthday parties, school dances, and corporate events. What I love most is the connection music creates: hearing guests sing along to a favorite chorus, watching different generations share the dance floor, and seeing a familiar song become part of a new memory. My music collection spans decades, from the 1950s to today, with R&B, Old School House, Disco, Hip Hop, Pop, Rock, Gospel, and Easy Listening. R&B and Old School House are personal favorites, reflecting my Chicago roots, but my love of music reaches across genres. I’m always listening, discovering songs, and revisiting classics. For me, wedding music is personal. It can reflect your story, honor your family’s favorites, and connect friends from different chapters of your life.
