nication with couples is almost non-existent. I requested a call with him before our wedding, and that never happened. His contract calls for anywhere between 3-12 minutes for a video which is ridiculous. Most videographers offer packages like 3-5 minutes, 6-8 mins, or 10-12 minutes.
When he asked what kind of vibe we wanted for our wedding, I said "bright and uplifting". Nothing about our video is bright and uplifting. The coloring is very dark, the music is very sad, theres moments when my wife and I are entirely out of focus. Theres a weird section were everything is shaky.
There were SO many important moments that were left out of our video. Had he responded to my email about meeting before the wedding I think we could have avoided this. We could've told him what is and what isn't important to us in a wedding video.
My wedding planner had to email him multiple times as well, just to get an answer from him.
When we brought our concerns over our video to him, he was less than accommodating. He wanted to charge us $100 an hour for a re-edit (most videographers will allow up to 2-3 free edits before charging), and offered to change the song for free but it came off like he was trying to talk us out of it.
I work in the wedding industry and had multiple videographers compare my video to the other videos he produced and ALL of them said it seemed like our video was rushed and thrown together.
All of my family and friends have expressed disappointment in our video and repeatedly said it comes across as very "serious and sad", which is so embarrassing.

re to work with, has a very easy-going attitude that is very calming to be around on a very busy day! Rik showed up early on our wedding day and went back and forth between the bride’s getting ready location and the Groom’s getting ready location all morning to capture every moment! He truly was a fly on the wall of the rest of our day, never imposing himself on the photographer or the Bride and Groom, he just candidly captured our entire day and beautifully delivered on a true cinematic piece which I watch and smile at frequently! g. We instantly clicked with him and knew that he was the guy for us. Come wedding day he went above and beyond our expectations. He captured every shot we could have asked for and was great at making us feel comfortable as we moved through the day. He fit perfectly into the background like you wouldn't even know he was there. He also helped us with plenty of ideas for poses and things he knew would look great in the video. He also got along with everyone in the wedding party as well as our other vendors. He was without a doubt an integral part of our day and we couldn't have asked for a better guy. He delivered our video to us quicker than we had expected as well as all our other raw footage. he did not disappoint. Rik and his assistant are fantastic videographers. They really caught the essence of our whole wedding day. Rik was incredibly friendly and happy to make suggestions on what would look best or make the most sense without overstepping. He worked great with our photographers and made it easy for us to not have to worry about anything video related on our wedding day. Rik managed some difficult conditions, from incredibly loud traffic and construction on the road directly behind us, to trying to record our dog, who was participating in his own special way. He dealt with all the curveballs masterfully. We can’t even hear the construction or traffic in videos and there are great shots of our dog as well as us and everyone else. Rik also made a fantastic video of the entire evening that made us and everyone we shared it with well up with joy. It was beautiful. It was also great to have our vows, the ceremony and the toasts in their own videos as well. It's great watching back all the raw footage too! We can’t thank Rik enough for everything he did and can’t recommend him highly enough!

Our video was everything we could have hoped for and Rik was amazing to work with. He was great at communicating with us and was sure to ask what parts of the day were most important to us. He made sure to capture all the tears and laughter and beauty of our wedding day. He blended SO well with our photographer too.
