My wife and I basically planned our entire wedding ourselves, down to the last detail and under a certain budget. As you can imagine, we needed someone who would coordinate well with us. Pete was fantastic as a DJ. He would communicate with us in the months & weeks leading up to the wedding. He also worked with us on our budget. On the day of, he showed up on time and was able to setup independently while we worked on other things for wedding setup. He understood the vision we wanted, and was able to make our ceremony special and the dancing fun. Highly recommend!

Pete is an AMAZING DJ and SUCH and awesome person in general. His professionalism is out of the world and I would recommend him a million times. His song selections are perfect for any event. I definitely recommend him for any event out there!

Amazing service & experience! Pete communicates effectively, is friendly, thoughtful and knows how to manage a crowd and any unexpected events! We had quite a few unforeseen unfortunate series of events happen the week of and day of our wedding. However, Pete was able to manage around the hurdles and provide such a great time for us and our guests it was incredible! We are so happy that we found Pete at One Step Beyond Productions to DJ our wedding. We were looking for a reasonably priced DJ who would also bring their own sound equipment, but we couldn’t have expected the high level of quality service we received with Pete. We had to shift our date because of COVID, and we really appreciated how understanding Pete was in adjusting plans. Pete was responsive and organized leading up to the event, and he did a wonderful job at the actual event. Everything was set up and ready to go before guests arrived, and he handled last-minute changes during the event with ease. Pete was an AMAZING dj. He was extremely organized and knew exactly what to do and knew the kind of music to play to keep the wedding party going. He had plenty of equipment and amazing lighting along with and outside speaker for our indoor/outdoor event. I will definitely use him for future events!

My husband and I are so glad we used Pete as our DJ for our wedding because he seriously was the best! He was so easy to work with and was so detail oriented and organized that I knew everything would go smoothly and it definitely did. From the ceremony to the cocktail hour to the reception Pete was amazing and made our wedding go seamlessly. We all had such a great night and a huge part of it was due to Pete. He really cares about his clients and makes sure he has everything covered and ready to go before your event so there are no questions unanswered by the time your event comes. We even had some issues with our videographer’s audio and Pete saved the day by thankfully having a recording from our ceremony that had our vows that we would have ended up loosing and not being able to get back if it wasn’t for him. Seriously can’t say enough wonderful things about Pete! If you’re looking for a DJ that truly cares about making your event exactly what you want than Pete is your guy!

I actually have booked Pete two years in a row for our company's holiday party. He has been INCREDIBLE for us. Extremely reliable and even more flexible. This year I actually had a last minute date change and Pete was able to move his schedule around for us to make it work. He also had to carry all of his equipment up the stairs because our venue didn't have an elevator... Beyond that, he's just a great DJ - I have never once had people complain about the music at either parties that I booked Pete for. He goes the extra mile for his customers and does an outstanding job.

When you’re planning a wedding reception, only three things matter: booze, food, and music. Something could go dastardly wrong, but as long as it doesn’t pertain to one of these three categories, everyone will leave your wedding with a smile on their face, reminiscing about the good time they had. We heard Pete DJ a wedding we went to for some friends of ours, and immediately we both knew we wanted him to DJ our wedding. We met him our wedding, where we talked about the setup of the reception venue, our backgrounds, and the types of music we wanted played. We explained how we wanted certain types of music played throughout certain parts of the night, asked for mixes of particular songs for dances, and asked him if he could bring some fun lights to help ‘dress’ the venue. Not a single ask was too much, he understood exactly what we wanted. How do I know that? Because he was exactly what we wanted from our wedding DJ. He was fun and engaging, the music choices were on point, he got the party going and kept it going all night. We asked him to change part of our first dance song literally as we were at the door of the reception about to join in, and he did it no problem. We asked him to stay longer that we had originally booked him for, and it was yes without any hesitation. If you want a DJ you can trust, a DJ who listens to you, a DJ that will make your special day one to remember, pick DJ Jeckyll!

Pete kept our guests on the dance floor till we had to shut it down. It had such a variety of music and read the crowd; book him if you want a crowded dance floor!

Amazing DJ! Really easy to work with, plays amazing music and helped give us the greatest wedding reception we could have ever wanted! No one left the dance floor! Highly recommend!

My husband and I could not be happier with how our reception went, and a huge part of that success was DJ Jeckyll (Pete)!! He ran the night seamlessly and was so great to work with. We had a huge dance floor at our reception (30x40 feet) and Pete kept the dance floor PACKED the entire night! I heard that even after we had our big send off, he started up the tunes again and people got back on the floor for some final songs. I would recommend Pete to anyone who wants to have an awesome party, stellar music, and people dancing all night long - he is THE best!

Highly recommend Pete!! Pete was our wedding DJ the recent October. After attending quite a few weddings, with DJ disasters, I was very determined to have the exact opposite! In January of 2018, my now husband and I attended a wedding, the music was non stop! It didn't go from hyped up dance floor to "ok we're going to slow it down a bit" only to have the dance floor clear out. That is exactly what I was looking for! Just non stop fun the whole time! I reached out to her, and she gave me Pete's information. I contacted him and got a response straight away. With our wedding being at a house and not a type of reception hall, we preplanned his set up which was out doors. He emailed a contract, we set up a payment plan, and wrote out a pre plan for the schedule of the evening. A few weeks out from the wedding we were able to get together and talk about the playlist. We discussed music genres, songs wanted , songs to avoid, and must haves. Pete is so professional , easy to work with, and had great recommendations. Any requested songs he did not have, he was able to find for us and download them for our wedding day. From our meeting on, we were in constant contact with each other. I love the communication he had throughout the whole process. It made me feel so comfortable knowing that he actually cared! Now, day of the wedding, we were thrown a bit of a curve ball. When does it rain in Arizona!?! ... ALLL DAY!! The wedding was planned to be outdoors in a backyard and the rain was not clearing up. Pete ready for a new game plan and was so helpful. Luckily the living room was big enough to not only accommodate over 100 guest, but a DJ set up as well. All of the pre ceremony, ceremony and "cocktail hour" music was just what we asked for. We got a little off schedule during pictures, but once we were ready, Pete was ready to go with the grand entrance! We got all of the slow lovey sappy songs out of the way for the first dance, father/daughter/, mother/son. After that, it was non stop good times and great music. Such a good variety of genres and generations, it kept everyone movin' a groovin' just like I had hoped! Pete did his job of being a AMAZING DJ and MC for our wedding. He will always be my recommendation to others and the first I call if I ever need any musical entertainment!

As an office manager, I collaborated with Pete for two annual Christmas parties and he was outstanding to work with. Professional, timely, personable, and he truly customized the experience as our DJ. He is definitely a vendor to consider, especially on your special day - where you want everything to go off without a hitch! I wish I had known Pete for my own wedding because I definitely would’ve booked him! I can’t rave enough; thanks Pete for an outstanding DJ performance!

Pete did a fantastic job at the high school reunion event I held at my home. Pete was extremely professional and was also very helpful based on area I had for set up and staging. We would absolutely recommend Pete; he is truly AWESOME! Our wedding was this past April and we were lucky enough to find Pete on Thumbtack. From the moment we spoke on the phone, we knew he was the one for us. Once we met Pete, he immediately helped us with the breakdown of the wedding program. He gave us so many ideas and showed us samples of his vast collection right on the spot. What is so great about Pete, and what truly exemplifies how he goes above and beyond is his communication. He is bilingual, so he was able to talk to my family and the guests that spoke Spanish. We can literally go on and on raving about Pete's amazing work ethic. Pete was our dj on our special day nov 18, he did a phenomenal job the whole night we couldn't have asked for better music he knew how to keep the party entertained all night. Highly recommend him for any events!

We worked with Pete (one step production) for our wedding and he is absolutely amazing. I couldn’t be happier with our decision. He gave me great ideas for a mash-up father daughter dance and did a fantastic job putting it together. Responded immediately to any questions I had. He was incredibly organized, friend and on time.
